Small pizza joint with a big appetite. Nicely lit with plenty of food inspired decorations (including an Anthony Bourdain poster with quote). Several tables (at least a dozen) to seat either two or four people at a time, while the center had a couple tables to be pushed to together for a larger crowd. My group of three people shared one large pizza (one of the white style pies). There was just enough cheese, garlic and olive oil, you knew your heart would be full of good fats, much like your belly was full from thick cut slices. This is a new place for us to try, even though Pizza 2000 probably pre-dates us in Fort Myers. We never think to go in because the parking situation can be a bit rough - it's the start of the Costco plaza on Cypress Lakes Drive. Therefore, it is tricky to get to the light and get out when you're done eating. The service was quick, as the server had just started her shift. She was nice and was able to attend to our questions before a small rush came in. She seemed to know one table of regulars (a pair of patrons) while a six top had arrived and seemed to order a third of the menu. There was also one chef in back, unless someone else was there behind a wall. We would definitely like to go back and try something else. Early dinner with Mom on the way to shopping next door at Costco. We were greeted and seated by the one waitress working this evening. It got a little busier as our dinner progressed to the point that we were waiting quite a bit for our check and then payment. But busy is good, right? Mom chose a veggie sandwich and enjoyed it. I had the antipasto salad and it was great. Quite a lot of "stuff" and not a lot of filler. Sausage, pepperoni, peppers, mushrooms, olives all tossed with a vinaigrette and then topped with shredded mozzarella cheese. Other than the croutons (keto diet!), I cleared the plate. As big pizza fans, we decided to give Pizza 2000 a try after passing by a few days earlier. Overall, really good pizza! I especially like the variety of signature pizzas. We got the Sausage Ricotta pizza and the Gorgonzola pizza, and both were great. My crust was really tough and took away from the experience a bit, but I'm hoping it was just a one-off. The only place we could find for delivery through grub hub and let me tell you, their pizzas do not disappoint. I highly recommend the buffalo chicken pizza. My only request would be they fix they special instructions to actually pay attention to them. If you aren't going to include stuff due to cost, try setting that up better on your ordering menu. With all the good reviews I was excited to try a new pizza place. Ew. It was like they opened a can of stewed tomatoes and used that as sauce. It was so chunky and the tomato's were cold. We ordered just a pepperoni with garlic and it had zero garlic. Couldn't eat more then one slice and tossed the rest. She tells me my price of my order which was 30 bucks...kinda pricey for the quality of the pizza. But the worst part was she told me it was going to be ANOTHER 30 minutes for my order to be ready. Get home and try the pizza. Tough as a rock, feel like I'm ripping at it to get a piece. Definitely going to need some Advil tonight for my jaw. Took the girl's up for a bounce and glow night at sky zone and decided to look on Yelp for a pizza place in the area with a good rating and Pizza 2000 did not disappoint. The waitress was very nice, the girls both loved their pizza's and we made sure to get them the "thin" sauce. That said I like the chunky tomatoes they serve normally. Was here during lunch hour several weeks ago. I stuffed myself with a personal size House Special Pizza. It was delicious so we went back for more punishment! We normally have salad, pasta and pizza. Today it was simply pizza only! Today, just for two, we have a simple 14" pie with half cheese and half sausage. The pie was excellent! The dough was crusty and just done right with crushed tomatoes, parmesan, mozzarella, garlic/oregano, and fresh basil. The sausage was sliced rather than crumbled. I have two littles and our server was incredible with both of them. When I ordered, the menu said white and I did not know what that meant. The clerk did not ask me if I wanted white or red. White means no pasta sauce on vegetarian pizza. 5 stars! For a local pizza joint that makes you go mmmmmmmmmm! After having one of "those" days, all I envisioned was devouring a pizza and watching some mindless TV. Come on, you know you've been there too! So I placed an order for pick-up on my way home and the timing worked out perfect. They said 20 minutes and pretty much to the minute, I walked in to pick up my piping hot pie. Although I took my order to go, I took a quick look around. The cozy bistro style dining area and open pizza kitchen was perfectly pizza parlor-esque! Loved the open kitchen concept and of course the intoxicating smell that came from pizza baking in a large pizza oven. It truly brought back wonderful childhood memories of my favorite pizza parlor back in Brooklyn, New York. Great variety to their overall menu, from pastas to pizzas and salads to sandwiches, and the prices are extremely fair. Most dishes are $15 or less, with the specialty pizza's maxing at $18. Their pies come in two sizes, small 10" and large 14". You can build your own or go with one of their many specialty pizza options. I ordered a 14" three cheese pizza, since I would be sharing with my husband --- and I use the term sharing very lightly, as I was ready to take that pizza down all by myself. Thankfully, the pie was too much for me to handle on my own, so my husband lucked out. The 14" was more than enough for two people at a solid eight slices. The flavor of the sauce highlighted by the crushed plum tomatoes, crushed garlic, and basil was spot on. The trifecta of pizza cheese heaven (ricotta, mozzarella, and parmesan) was spread evenly on each slice, so as to provide a perfect bite of cheesy goodness every time. As for the dough, which in my opinion can make or break a pizza, they got it totally right with the flavor and the light crispy crust! They are a bit hidden in a corner of the large Cypress Lake Shopping Center, so make sure not to miss it. Parking is easy enough, but they also deliver, wth free delivery based on location and $15 minimum order. The pizza was scrumptious, the service was prompt and friendly, and the prices are great for what you get. If you want a slice of pizza heaven you should absolutely give this place a try! read more

It's basically just a house salad with Gorgonzola cheese. It's in the smaller side too. We also ordered the P2K white pizza and a small meat lovers. The white pizza was just ok but felt like it's missing something. The crust was crispy but also chewy. The meat lovers was pretty good! Lots of flavor and the crust was easier to chew. Maybe the addition of the red sauce helps. I would try Pizza 2000 again but maybe not for delivery. It's probably excellent sitting in their restaurant. read more

We love Pizza 2000. It's our 5 Star pizza place. Excellent pizza offered with your choice of sauce: crushed plum tomato, smooth red or white. The texture and flavor of the crispy crust with the smooth sauce is a winning combination. Our most recent visit was on a very busy Friday evening between 6:30 and 7:00. Two servers were running to keep everyone happy and satisfied. Our drinks were refilled after a short wait. Every bit of our meal was pizza perfection. We have been eating here for many years. Last night the pizza was good as usual. Also as usual we each had two Corona beers. After we paid our bill I looked it over thinking the pizza sure shot up in price. Nope! It was the beer. $6 each for a bottle of beer. $24 for four bottles of common grocery store beer. No glass, not even the traditional lime wedge. Just a $1.25 retail bottle of beer. They must feel justified in making almost $5 off each bottle.
