The muffalatta sandwich was good -- not New Orleans good, but solid and satisfying. You can choose ham/salami or turkey; the turkey was tasty but felt like it needed just a little something extra. Maybe a smoky provolone or a bit more punch to take it up a notch. The staff was friendly, helpful, and on top of things, always cleaning and checking in without hovering. I use to love this place. Something has been going on for about a month. My sandwich has been getting smaller and smaller. I use to only eat half because it was so full of meat. I took it back this time. The manager told someone else to talk to me I showed him the missing meat on the sandwich. He said that it had the correct amount. He said he could make it again because it wasn't pretty. I just took it back to the table. I have had this same sandwich for YEARS. I am so disappointed . Lots of seating, very clean, and friendly staff. I ordered a Beefeater sandwich and it was delicious. I had a can of diet Dr Pepper since the fountain drinks didn't have a diet Dr Pepper. Jason's Deli is my favorite place to enjoy a fresh deli sandwich whenever I'm in town. The ingredients always taste fresh, and there are so many delicious flavor options to choose from. The salad bar is also an excellent choice and offers great value for the price. And don't skip the strawberry shortcake for dessert, it's absolutely amazing! The staff is very friendly. My mother and I visited Jason's Deli for the first time in over a year, possibly closer to two years, and I want to be clear that this review has nothing to do with the food or the cost. I am more than willing to pay for good food and good service. We ordered the salad bar, not realizing that the policy had changed from unlimited trips to a one-trip salad bar. That's completely understandable, prices go up and businesses make adjustments. The issue was how the situation was handled. When my mother asked if customers could still go back for a second trip, the employee with dark hair, a long earring, and what appeared to be management responsibilities (he had keys on his belt) responded very rudely: "You can, but you have to pay me another $11 and change." A simple, "Unfortunately, the salad bar is no longer unlimited," would have answered the question without making a customer feel belittled. To make matters worse, when we picked up our plates, the employee at the counter argued with my mother and insisted we had ordered a side salad, which was incorrect. After rolling her eyes and scoffing, she asked the other employee what we had ordered, and he confirmed that it was, in fact, the salad bar. Again, this is not about the food or the price. It's about my mother being spoken to as though she was an inconvenience or an idiot.... twice during a single visit. I've worked in customer service for years and understand that policies change and mistakes happen. What I don't understand is the lack of basic courtesy and professionalism. Unfortunately, this experience was enough to make us decide not to return. It's disappointing because I've always enjoyed Jason's Deli, but customer service matters just as much as the food. read more

What a great place! We love the food here. They have such vast variety of healthier alternatives for lunch or dinner. My hubby and I enjoyed our lunch here. My hubby got the grilled cheese & tomato soup combo while I opted for their California Club sandwich minus Swiss cheese and add provolone. Such freshness of the ingredients. Our food was absolutely delicious. We both chose their freshly brewed sweet tea which was very refreshing. Then our favorite part of our meal was their free ice cream. Your choice of either cone or cup along with chocolate, vanilla or swirl soft serve ice cream. Ice Cream fixes everything! We will be back! read more

We got take out and it was a ways from home...it was good, but always something lost in the quality of your takeout as it's a ways from home. Dining in is always the best with hot food. Nice looking salad bar!! As a customer we were able to take advantage of a free soft serve ice cream in a cone which my server explained, so both myself and the gal with me recalled our 1st jobs being an ice cream server as we indulged...that made the wait a bit better and took the hangries away too! read more

What happed to this place? I ordered 1/2 a Beefeater sandwich and it came with a little bag of potato chips. The sandwich was tiny...SUPER small, like it was a quarter sandwich. This place is amazing. A huge variety of food from sandwiches (big) to salads, loaded baked potatoes and soups. We decided to stop here for lunch while visiting Matlacha Isles. Lunch on a Tuesday about 1230. My order was taken quickly and I got the salad bar plus I added a extra side of protein, the grilled chicken. I got a fountain drink, and I chose Diet Coke. The mix was spot on. The salad bar has great options to include boiled eggs so I did plenty of protein. My salad was very fresh, all of the ingredients tasted excellent. This location is close by and the staff and store are always pleasant. One of my favorites is the manager's special which is 1/2 sandwich of your choice plus a large plate to use at the salad bar. The salad bar is extensive with not just ordinary salad but hard boiled eggs, potato and pasta salad plus much more. First let me say the Jason's delis in Arizona where I am from are not as nice or well run as the two locations I have visited in Ft Myers. The salad bar is well maintained and well stocked, only suggestions would be sliced pickled beets as opposed to the whole beet it's just better on a salad in my opinion. I like how it's run from the order takers to meal prep where you receive your food and salad plates... I have to be honest, I have a need to bus my own table but the staff insists on doing it and I feel a little guilty. I like this place because the staff is friendly, they are engaged with the customers and they work. Nobody stands around and the place is clean. My husband and I eat at Jason's probably 3 or 4 times a month and I also order lunch from there also.. For the price , it's good quality food, quick on those nights when I don't feel like cooking... I have gone to Jason's 4 times this week, 2 of them being take out. You can almost always rely on them getting my order wrong.... always. I often order a Rachel and specifically tell them to put Sauerkraut on my sandwich with Thousand Island dressing, and not Cole Slaw.... who puts cole slaw on a Rachel or Ruben anyway? So I bring my sandwich home, and both times it has that God awful Cole Slaw on it. My box container even says Sauerkraut, but to no avail it has Cole Slaw and with no Thousand Island dressing. Why am I paying full salad bar prices to make my own salad with only one trip allowed?It's not like their prices went down, or the salad bar is better maintained.
