Delicious and crispy pizza! My husband and I split a small house salad which had a delicious balsamic vinaigrette. We also shared a small cheese pizza with the chunky sauce since we were told that was the original way. The sauce wasn't too watery and the pizza stayed crispy the entire time! Small pizza is cut into 4. I also got a soda and all together is was a little more than $19 without tip! What a bargain! Wasn't too busy on a Monday night but it wasn't empty. Service was prompt and friendly. This is some delicious pizza and we will be back the next time we are in Ft. Myers! read more

Came in to try their white clam pizza. Ever since I had it at Pepe's in CT I have been searching for something close. Ordered a large with thin crust and it came out a little overdone and crispy but it was still good. Service was excellent. The restaurant, including the bathroom was very clean which is always nice. Very sad day for my wife & I. We have been patrons of this establishment for over 20 years and have always considered it to be the best pizza restaurant of all time. In addition, we have highly recommended to at least 50 people during this span. Unfortunately, after today we cannot in good conscience ever consider going back. The Pizza was greasy, the ingredients have definitely changed, ( pepperoni for sure), and the pizza was over cooked. The cook himself seemed disinterested by being on the telephone bolstering about all his sexual conquest paying very little interest to the task at hand ( making a Gourmet pizza) as opposed to a pizza that seemed so ordinary. The waitress who has just started ( 13 days ago) was fine and seemed to be giving her best. We know for sure that the owners Rodney and Patti would be disappointed in this review but we have to be candid and truthful. The experience was awful and yes we are saddened to even think of writing this review. Please consider going back to the original ingredients and find personnel who really take pride in their work which I am sure is not easy. Thanks for 20+years of great pizza and service. I came down to visit my family with my son and was tired from being at pool all day and didn't want to cook. We decided to order pizza and wanted to try something new and had heard about pizza 2000 from a neighbor and thought we'd give it a try. Wow!!! Are we happy to have called because I can honestly say it is the beat pizza I've ever had not to mention VERY resanabily priced. It doesn't hurt that this place is right beside our salon but always a good result and clean. I love their Minestrone, it has great flavor. Fresh bread (pizza crust) is fine, meals always prepared fresh. I had the Parmesan pasta with chicken, wife had personal white pizza. They are known for having some of the best white pizza. Best pizza place in Fort Myers ! BUT, it's not the pizza that keeps me coming back. It's the amazing salad and bread. The pizzas here are all freaking delicious, but the house salad is so good. Their homemade house salad dressing is a base of balsamic vinaigrette, and it comes with a variety of vegetables (green peppers, mushrooms, cheese, big tomato chunks). The side bread that comes with a soup (whenever I go, I usually order a soup and salad) is always freshly made and super hot. I like to dip it in a mixture of olive oil, salt, pepper, and a bunch of parmesan cheese. Very good pizza as we had ordered one other time, but not so good customer service from the manager on our second time. We ordered a pizza to be delivered, but 40 minutes later we received a call saying they could not deliver due to a $25 min. When I asked to speak to the manager I was told he was too busy with orders and would not make an exception. Perhaps to avoid wasting a pizza (which I confirmed was baking) and losing future business, the fact of a needed $25 min should be shared up front, not 40 minutes after the order was placed. Perhaps the manager needs to take a few lessons on customer service and know that word of mouth can be both a positive and a negative when it comes to marketing a business. read more

Pizza 2000 has earned this review; we've been ordering delivery from them for about a year now and they have never disappointed -- excellent quality at a reasonable price, and if they can't deliver because the delivery guy isn't in yet, they just tell you to come get it -- got to like their no-nonsense, practical approach! They actually have people sitting in the restaurant most of the times I've been by to pick up, and the owner makes a lot of the pizza himself. Given that it's in that little strip mall building by Costco, having people sitting in the restaurant is also kind of impressive -- my guess is the rest of the menu is worth a try! :-) read more
