Excellent pizza. It's light and fluffy, crispy and thin on the bottom. Sauce is excellent, and the ratio of ingredients reminds me of a nice east coast pie. Yesterday, we wanted some pizza and wanted to try someplace new. Saw Pizza 72, so I thought we would try it since it's in the neighborhood. It's a nice clean shop, limited seating for eat-in, but comfortable. I ordered the XL pepperoni and sausage, extra parm cheese. 18" THIN CRUST $30.00. 30 minutes later , we had the pizza. Quick and easy. Crust has a good flavor, thin but not crispy. Folds up just right . For my personal taste, the sauce is a little blan. I'd like the sauce to be a little more tangy and spicy so you can taste it on your tongue when you take a bite. I'm going to try the Sicilian style next time. And make a final decision. read more

I am not sure if they changed owners or what but the pizza is not the same. It does not have as much flavor and the last 3 times we have gotten pizza from there we have had intestinal issues the next day. They counter staff is definitely different and I miss the staff that used to be there and made an effort to know me by name. read more

First off, I will say that I am not a pizza person. More often than not if someone suggests a pizza place I will turn my nose up. The word that comes to mind when I think of pizza is grease, grease grease. I do not like greasy food. The great thing about Pizza 72 is there pizza is not overly greasy or not really greasy at all! I love it! It was perfectly cooked. Not too charred and not too undercooked. Also, they put the perfect amount of toppings on unlike other pizza places that jip ya. The prices are a bit more expensive than a pizza chain, but I think it's worth it. The quality and taste is top notch and they have some pretty good deals. My sister and I got the 2 large, 2 topping pizza deal for $25, not knowing how big they would actually be. Needless to say, we have a lot of leftovers. The only reason I took off a star is because they seemed a little unorganized. They had lots of orders and I think their tickets were getting mixed up. I had a pickup order at a certain time and had to wait a bit longer, but overall not too big of a deal considering they are a newer business. And the lady working the front was very nice! Damn!! Tried this place out with my friend for the first time because it was close to her house and THANK GOD we did. We ordered a plane cheese pizza (my friend doesn't do meat) lol so I was expecting a mediocre pizza. BOY WAS I WRONG! The pizza was incredible! Freshly made, cheese everywhere, the dough was soooo good (and I don't even eat the bread) lol. The crust was thin but not crispy, it was total NY style with flavors bursting from everywhere! I was greeted with a suggested tip of $9 "Support our Team" for a $47 order, plus $6.34 for "Taxes & Fees". I had to go out of my way to change the tip and couldn't see what "fees" I was being charged for. The pizza crust did not have a lot of flavor. The Sicilian was burnt beyond belief and we had to pick at it just to eat some of it. There were no meatballs added it was just the oil and herbs and I think there was some cheese, but again it was spurt beyond belief. Grub Hub did me wrong. Pizza 72 did the right thing. We found Pizza 72 a few months ago and really love their pizza. Their garlic knots are ridiculous! We placed an order that was messed up on the GH end and Pizza 72 made sure our pizza stayed hot while we worked it out and finally came to get it. The pizza was a deep dish. Just what we had a hanker for. I would like to try there regular or thin pizza, probably more of our taste. It was after 8:30 and hard to fine a place open after and if you want something cooked, 8:00 is most places cut off time. This place was willing and open and that we appreciated. Too me every pizza taste a little different so did 't expect more. I liked it better for dinner than I did breakfast. They use Grub Hub for delivery and the service and Grub Hub employee was bad. We live in a six floor high rise and we asked them specifically to deliver to our apartment door. In directions,I took it a step farther and told them to dial our number if they had any problems coming in. When wonder where our order was we found a note in our order from Grub Hub saying the pizza was delivered but it was no where to be found. Finally we went looking for it and sure enough it was in front of the entry door in the 1st floor. We have very little experience with these delivery places but have been forced to start using them for mobility issues. I guess we need to find out if we have to use whoever the vendor wants us to. One thing I have learned, is never add the tip on the bill before you receive the product! read more

I'm sorry to see the negative reviews when it comes to the pizza crust and it's flavor....I for one do NOT agree. Every Tuesday our family gets together for our "pizza night". We have tried no less than 15 pizza restaurants until we found Pizza 72 and we haven't gone anywhere else since!! Here's my only issue. I am retired from the Food and Beverage industry and one thing I used to tell my employees, that if they received a tip above and beyond the normal 15-20 percent they should make a concerted effort to thank the guest for being so generous and how much it is appreciated! Doing this accomplishes two major plusses, one for yourself in possibly acquiring a new customer and a great tipper at that!!! The other for the business with having a satisfied customer who will possibly become a regular, not to mention all of the free advertising when this "new regular" hopefully begins telling friends and associates! Myself and my other family members all leave a tip, but never have I ever heard a word of appreciation from anyone on your staff when picking up our order. Sadly, to me that means the tip was expected....for Take Out no less!!! Being an ex hospitality professional with all of my experience being in restaurant management except after retirement, I then bartended for 6 years before finally giving it up and opting for being fully retired! Once again the pizza is always 5-stars all the way!!!! As far as tipping on takeout.....that may be coming to an end. read more

I made an order online and had to call in to ensure that my order had gone through. After I called to verify I asked what time my pizza would be done. They told me an hour because they're behind. I got there after 50 min and my food was ready and after checking my food, it was cold. How could my pizza be cold when I was told an hour? They stated they did not receive the order online. They knew I paid as I could show the payment to Pizza 72.
