The dining area is small and filled up quickly, but our food came out quickly and was delicious. -Chicken Parmesan: the chicken cutlets were huge and perfectly crispy. The flavor of the sauce was great as well, not too sweet. -Lobster ravioli: the shrimp on top were perfectly cooked, and the ravioli were generously filled. The brandy cream sauce tasted great but was a bit heavy. -Linguine with clams: the sauce was delicious and very garlicky! The pasta was al dente The entrees also come with a hefty serving of garlic knots, which were hot and fresh. OMG! The food is sooo good. Tonight I had Chicken & Shrimp Parmesan, it's to die for. The chicken Francaise was so good I laughed when I ate it,. First time I went there I had spaghetti with a meatball and a sausuge, i think I had that 3x in a row. Best garlic knots too! Things have changed here since our last visit so an update is in order! First of all the pizzas are still so well made, entirely fresh and yummy, with a crispy yet soft crust. Don't ask me how that's possible, just try it and you'll understand! We also got the garlic knots. They are perfect. Soft and fluffy, a hint of chewy, and the best part: not too oily or garlicky at all! The eggplant rollatini is big enough for a meal or for several people to share as an appetizer, which is what we did. It is wonderfully cooked, contains ricotta and fresh, not frozen, spinach, then topped with their delicious and not-too-sweet sauce. We got our order to go like we usually do. There are a few tables inside, but it's a small space so I'm sure they fill quickly during peak times. Our order took around 15-20 minutes; very reasonable and worth the wait! I love this place! Normally we enjoy dining in, but last night I was craving their incredible Chicken Piccata and we were on a very short time schedule. A very Intimate little Italian Restaurant in Aurora. Very welcoming. It was already almost full at 5:00 when I walked in. I was seated right away, as there was one table left. The waitress indicated many delicious options. I ordered the Lasagna, $18, which was hot and Outstandingly Delicious, (see photo). The food is Always Made Fresh for every customer the garlic knots were tasty, but small. I also ordered a glass of Riesling, 6 ozs for $11, which was very good. For Dessert I had the Tiramisu $8.98, which was delicious, but incredibly tiny (see photo), which for that much money I felt it was overpriced. All in All, I would definitely go back and skip the wine and dessert. They are also taking over the Monaco Inn, which just closed in October, and will open up in November. It was our first time there. I ordered a meat lovers pizza. My wife ordered chicken français. We also shared a Caesar salad. The food was excellent, and the server was very attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant, but if you don't love lemon, I wouldn't order a dish that's made with wet lemon because it they are very lemony. But don't let that keep you away! read more

I'm in the area visiting family at UCHealth and we ate here last night. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The Greek salad was so fresh and the dressing was delicious. The chicken piccata was very tender. The eggplant parmigiana was also very good. They were able to accommodate the gluten free member of our group. Nothing but accommodating and warm. Fresh flowers everywhere. Pretty blue ceiling and charming lights fixtures make you forget you're in a strip mall off a busy street. We stopped by Pomodoro on our way home from the airport. It's located in a strip mall and we were pleasantly surprised how delicious the food was. The restaurant is simple indoors and very clean. The lady that helped us was so friendly and helpful. We ordered the fried ravioli and garlic knots as appetizers and both were really good. The marinara sauce was well balanced and no spice was overpowering. My husband had the lasagna and it was delicious. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and added chicken and mushrooms... and it was phenomenal. The chicken was spiced simply abut plentiful and so tender... it paired well with the Alfredo sauce that had some sort of magic mixed in because it was so tasty. There were plenty of mushrooms too! We were blown away by every part of this meal. Eating every bite and reflecting on it for this review has been an absolute pleasure. The restaurant is modest, just six tables in all. If there is a wait, please stick it out and you won't be disappointed. You enter into an intimate dining room with a homey charm and fresh aroma. The menu has such a variety of traditional Italian dishes that I didn't know what to order, so I asked the owner. She proudly suggested the Chicken Parmigiana so I stuck with that while my brother ordered the Chicken Carbonara. He wanted to remove the peas from his dish and they were easily accommodating because everything is made from scratch freshly after it is ordered. It was just a few cooks, the host, and the owner. A simple operation that was incredibly effective. Our waters were refilled constantly. Not by the host, but by the observant and incredible owner. Everyone in this establishment did all they could do to ensure we got the most out of our meals. The honor they seemed to get from sharing their authentic dishes and experience with us was palpable and we are so appreciative of it. Right when we thought the experience couldn't get any better, the food arrived... Nearly speechless. The elegance of these classics was breathtaking. Every bite was clean and there were so many bites to have. I almost can't believe how much food they brought out for such a reasonable price. Both of our dishes came with beautifully cooked pasta, two succulent chicken breasts, and homemade garlic knots to share. All for under $50. It's a rare occasion that my brother and I don't both finish our meals and are still hungry right after. Although he wanted to finish, he took a few bites home knowing how satisfied he had been with dinner and how much he could savor a few more bites as leftovers. Great food overall and mediocre service. I had a hard time ordering food due to the language barrier, but we were able to work it out eventually. Their bolognese and garlic knots were amazing and I ate every bit of it. They add 20% tip regardless of party size which I wasn't a fan of at all. Good food, but LOUSY SERVICE!!! My order was taken by some teenager who wouldn't smile and proceeded to screw up my order! I had to stop them from making the pizza incorrectly, and she rolled her eyes like I offended her. I spent $140 on food and tipped the little ingrate $28.. we then waited 30 minutes for food and weren't even offered a glass of water. I never claimed to be a cook, but I do know good food when I eat it. This place is awesome. When I try a new Italian restaurant, I always want to start with the spaghetti and meatballs. The sauce was one of the best I've ever had - perfectly seasoned, with just the right amount of veggies, and it blended incredibly well with the pasta. The meatball .... great taste, great texture and the sausage was very flavorful and cooked well with just the right amount of burned crispiness on the edges. It's a small unassuming spot in a strip mall in Aurora, but it scratches an itch whenever I am craving some homemade Italian. Super nice staff, and their dishes remind me of some Jersey & NYC spots from my childhood. It's wonderfully unpretentious and the entree serving sizes are easily 1.5 meals. I haven't had their pizza, but chicken parm, eggplant parm, (meat) lasagna, and a few other entrees are all worth trying. Good garlic knots too, but my fav in town for those are Pizza 3.14 on 20th st. For me pretentious Italian takeout or midweek meal...Pomodoro is solid. read more

Whispers of outstanding Italian recipes coming out of no-man's land on Dayton & 6th led us to Pomodoro. Too bad the whispers weren't louder. We've picked up dinner three times now with items ranging from above average to my new favorite. Rigatoni Bolognese: I use bolognese dishes to measure new Italian joints. Simply put, this has become my favorite in CO and among my fave pasta dishes anywhere. The sauce is Meaty, a tinge spicy, and clings to the rigatoni, creating a heavenly mouthfeel. It's on the order every time, even if I'm sharing it. Sharing it's no problem---portions are enorme. Pizza: Call it somewhat above average (7/10?) Denver NY-style with quality toppings and a sauce that allows a cheese pizza to hold its own. It was not greasy, and had plenty of cheese, which irks some NYers, but not me. One thing that's lame: You may order half toppings, but will be charged for covering the whole pie. This can get expensive. Chicken Francese: Delicious in a way that made it easy to forget this was takeout. Calzone: They look like a giant smile. If you love ricotta overload, you'll smile even bigger than the two meals I got from mine. Perfectly cooked. I'll order another if they add enough toppings and less ricotta. The second half tasted much better when warmed a day later. Garlic Knots: Pasta dishes come with three, but a side of these can only improve the meal. Light and hopped up on garlic, these level up from any others I've had around town. Kid's Menu: Sure, it's got pizza and three kinds of pasta, but also chicken tenders, meatball sliders. This covers even fussy kids for $7.99. My son's spaghetti w meat sauce had enough delicious meat for an adult portion. Good deal!! Garden Salad: This was included with the chicken Francese. First, it was so big that we thought they'd given us an extra entree. Second? It was so fresh that the leftover looked good for a couple more days in the fridge. Ambiance: While waiting for my orders, I've taken in the surroundings. It's a small, but not cramped, dining room. Well-lit, the counter features a display of Italian kitchen cookbooks that reflect someone knows what she's doing here. Tl:DR Pomodoro serves delicious, authentic Italian food in large portions at reasonable prices. Especially awesome for takeout, the food compares favorably to places either/both more expensive and trendy. 4.5 stars round up to five. read more

They have a fairly diverse menu for a small restaurant and we enjoyed everything we tried. A week ago we went there for Father's Day for the first time at the new location, since we were already big fans of the original location by Lowry. We were very surprised of how much bigger and beautifully decorated this second location was. Luis the owner shows his amazing culinary skills acquired in Italian restaurants through NYC in every dish. He personally came to greet us which is great sign of hospitality in spite of his recent fall in the kitchen. The baked Ziti is my favorite as well their pizza. They also have homemade gnocchi which my daughter thought was very good. Make sure you try their garlic knots which are downright dangerous!. I have nothing but praises for his waiting staff, the atmosphere and most specially their delicious cuisine. I love to give my patronage to a nice family-owned restaurant as opposed to a big chain. They're bringing life to a little strip mall that needed revitalizing. It's nice to see how the former patrons of the previous restaurant that was there for forty years have embraced this new wonderful establishment. We will be back even though it's not close to our home, but it's well worth the trip for amazing food and outstanding service. read more

This is my sixth time here and every time everything is amazing. The service is great (the gals have even started to recognize me and my friend), quick and super friendly. The food is brilliant! We always get the beet salad and between me, my friends and my family, have tried the following dishes: manicotti, penne a la vodka, chicken piccata, chicken Marsala, scampi (chicken and shrimp), carbonara (chicken and shrimp), veal parmigiana and pasta primavera.
