Its open late. The pizza slaps. It reminds me of an amazing NYC slice. Fricken win. Thin crust. Fresh pizza. Delicious cheese blend. Pepperoni was slammin. Crust had a tint of sweetness. Delicious.

Maybe it could be better. The price is good but it was cold I like my pizza alittle warmer. They put the Alice in the oven for like a minute. It needed to stay alittle longer. They didn't have much of. A Choice. Got the ham and cheese one. The crust was hard and crispy white it is like eating a cracker. Not exactly the kind of pizza I hear about Italy. We will go to the place we wanted to try. Unfortunately we go late and looking SM for someone to be open at 11:15 pm. Not bad 4 slices for 10 euros.

    - Locale Destination - It's in a small area, very unassumingly existed. Don't be fooled by the look. Ambiance: very small, Togo or takeaway only. Service: quick and friendly Menu: so many options but in English as well. Size: normal is medium sized whole pizza that feeds 2 adults - not a slice. Big! Family size is quite big. Price €6-7 feeds 2 adults! So cheap and tasty! - Gluttony Expedition - prosciutto & fungi: pizza is a super thin and good! Light yet satisfying. Good! - Conqueror's Deduction - I had several pizza in Venice, but this was probably the best! Cheap, quick, super fresh (cook right in front of your eyes), and tasty! You don't need €18 for pizza! This pizza is amazing! If you want a good pizza, definitely recommended!

People line up for this pizza ...

Pizza is 4+, service is solid and ambience, who cares. Mostly take away but there is a counter for 3-4 peeps, I get a liter of red wine at coop and dine on the bench in the piazza.

Fresh from the oven do you see the steam?

One slice of regular Pizza Volo is just 2 euros! I think you can only get a slice from what's displayed, otherwise, they bake a whole fresh one! Napoletana pizza is with anchovies and adorned! Yummy to the tummy and makes a lovely meal with wine! What a life!!

Cheap cost for big pizza Do you only have 5 euros to spend? Look no further! This is a great pizza spot. We accidentally ordered 2 normal whole pizzas. We meant to only get slices so... be carful what you order. I just did the read the sign. We got spicy pepperoni and sausage pizza. I really liked the spicy pepperoni over the sausage one. The sausage one was more like hot dog. The crust here was thin crust pizza, and a lot of the locals hung out over here. Beer here is cheap too, so if you want pizza and beer, you're at the right place. Not much of a seating area in here, you're mainly standing around. Not sure if there are toilets here.

Wanted some late night pizza and found this place on yelp! Went to the square and it was booming with youngsters gathered at the bars getting drinks and socializing. Looked fun but scary with covid haha The pizza place was a hole in the wall and a lot of locals were getting them after drinking. Drunchies I guess? Hahaha but looked really good. You can get them by the slice or a full box to share. Ordered the mushroom pizza and prosciutto pizza and both were amazing! Thin and fresh. Took them and ate them outside! Open late so perfect to stop by if still having the munchies after having some good pasta for dindin

The pizza was pretty good, but the main draw is that it's so affordable! You get a huge slice for like 2 Euros or you can get a personal pie for like 5.50-7 Euros that they make fresh with a soda. This is what we did the 2 times we came for a quick bite. Located in a nice quaint square-like area with benches around and other cafes and places to eat, it was a good place to munch and people watch.

Cheap, fresh, fantastic! 10,50 euro for pizza, 2 beer, and 2 waters. Sat on the park bench right outside and ate watching people sit at the restaurants nearby eating not nearly as good pizza and paying double the amount.

    Tuna and onion for €6!

€6 pizza? Yes please! Next time someone complains about Venice food being expensive, slap that person with a hot fresh pizza from Pizza al Volo! Here, you can get an equivalent of America's Dominos medium size "normale" pizza for €5-7 each depending on the topping combo you have chosen. If you are really hungry, you can even get a mega size "Familare" (which I almost mistakenly ordered before the staff reminded me of the size) for around €10! Aside from the big size and the small price, the pizza is delicious as well! It's not the best I had, but its simplicity and authenticity in using good ingredients nonetheless makes it a decent pie and certainly exceeds my expectation for a cheap pizza. For example, my choice of tuna-and-onion was generously sprinkled with tuna that lacks its signature stink and onion that is not unappealing spicy, all on a nicely kneaded dough topped with nice amount of cheese. In other words, you are getting quality pizza...for cheap...in the heart of Venice! So next time someone complains about Venice food being gross, slap that person with the same hot fresh pizza from Pizza al Volo. Anyway, located in the local-favorite Campo Santa Magherita, Pizza al Volo is a takeaway pizza joint that has only a standing booth, but you can easily grab that box of pizza and munch on one of the uncharacterstically many benches in the square to people watch. Expect about 10-15 minutes of preparation because it's made on the spot. I recommend swinging by to get yourself a nice pizza! --- tl;dr version: 1) Cheap, generous, delicious simple pizza 2) Takeaway only with only standing booth 3) Recommended to get a pizza fix in Venice

Not the greatest pizza but the best value pizza in Venice. Our tour guide pointed this out as the cheapest pizza in Venice. I think she was correct. EUR 2.00 per slice can't be beaten.

I have been going to Pizza al Volo for 17 years now and it is one of the best places to grab a slice of pizza and a fanta at Campo San Margherita. San Margherita is a fun and casual square to begin with lined with lots of cafes and ice cream shops. Pizza al volo serves up pizza by the slice and each one is 2 euros. The drinks are about 1 euro and the slice is served on a piece of white paper. It is a small place with just a pizza oven, counter and soda machine and a trash can overflowing with the white paper from all the eaten pizza slices. The other cool thing about this place is that it is open very late and is the perfect food to go along with drinks. It has been around for many many years and it is nice to know you can always come back and it is still there as a familiar taste of Venice.

    Pizzaaaaaaaaa time, motherf***er!!

Got a family size "simpatica" pizza for €13, ate over half of it and don't regret a goddamn thing!

What better way to spend it than wandering around Venice and enjoying dinner at Rossopomodoro? They're still in the "Italy training program" and these menus tend to confuse them, so after three weeks here I felt obligated to guide them toward the promised land. After much studying, debating, and staring at menus, it was finally time to order. I went with the Tagliatelle alla Bolognese, and the wife and I shared a salad. When that salad hit the table, it nearly stole the entire show. We drizzled on a little balsamic vinaigrette, added a shake of salt and pepper, and suddenly we were ready to dance right there in the alley. Fresh tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, crisp greens--every ingredient tasted like it had been picked that morning. It was outstanding. The pasta was very good, but today the salad was the undisputed champion of the meal. Of course, dining outside along Venice's busy walkways only adds to the experience. Watching people pass by while enjoying great food is one of those simple pleasures that makes Venice such a special place. Rossopomodoro delivered a fantastic meal and a great evening. The newcomers survived their first full day in Italy, and I'd say they're off to a pretty good start.
