The day began with horseback riding and then off to some open fields for shooting and finally after buidling such an appetite, we landed here. You can see the red roof from the rode and many cars were already in the parking lot for an early dinner. The menu is simple but there is plenty of beers to choose from add to your pizza experience. We were seated in a booth and you do all the ordering from the counter. I ordered the greek salad and we ordered some pizza bread and a couple pizzas to share. The greek salad was really good. Not sure what is in the dressing but overall the salad was delicious. The pizza was hot and cheese oozing as I selected my slice. VERY GOOD! We were very happy with the service and the food. Came to meet family who live nearby. Has a nice family feel to it and well established. I've attached some pictures for your viewing. The zucchini slices were very good. Pizza was good not great. The pizza sauce was good but could use more seasoning. Regardless, the beer selection was impressive for a place further away from the city. TVs for viewing games in the back. Moved to the area so of course we had to check out the Pizza Barn!! The place is always packed especially on the weekends. Plenty of indoor seating and they have a drive thru!!How cool is that!! Highly recommend using the drive thru if picking up, it is much faster then going in and having to wait for others to put in there orders. Pizzas are delicious and my husband loves their calzones! The green chilly is on a potent side so if you are not a fan of green chilly I would not recommend it. I love it and it had me tearing up.. lol Staff have been super friendly and kind! This used to be one of my aunt's favorite places when she lived in Edgewood. I 'm glad I finally got to try it, but Pizza Barn on a Saturday night is phew...busy. Parking was like a cattle corral. We were told at the counter that it would be an hour and twenty minute wait. Prices weren't bad, as I got a 10" for 5 toppings for a little over $10. Unfortunately, they were out of the dough for the infamous green chile bread sticks. I'll have to try them next time. The inside was full and had a few dirty tables that hadn't been looked after, so we sat outside. I was surprised to see they didn't have outdoor heaters after all of 2020. In reality, the wait was a little less than an hour and worth it. I still had some leftover slices to take with me. Again, out of the 5 toppings I got (mushroom, sausage, olive, green chile just mild enough to make your nose run, extra cheese), only 4 of the toppings made it on the pizza (unless the extra cheese was hiding underneath). When I visited this restraunt and I was appauled!!!! Their kitchen is completely visible from the counter. It was an absolute healthcode nightmare. The boxes also touch the ceiling which is a huge fire hazard. When I paid for my pizza they gave me the wrong change and the place just had a bad vibe. Do Not Recomend. read more

Honestly this place is where the best tasting pizza exists! It's located in a small town just off I-40. I travel back and forth on this interstate a lot and all I have got to say is " Why have I not stopped sooner ? " lol. When I arrived there was only 1 other vehicle here. So I assumed it was closed. But thankfully it was not. When you walk in you place your order at the counter and then they bring the food to your table. The wait staff were so friendly and very patient while we tried to decide what we wanted to eat. We ordered the bread sticks and Route 66 pizza with half only pepperoni and sausage. Again. We stopped here after jumping on our trusty Yelp app looking for food on our drive home to Texas. The place is nice and spacious and we got a long table for our group. We figured out what we wanted and ordered at the counter. We got about 4 pizzas and other items as well. I specifically wanted the Route 66 which had pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, black olives and the New Mexico favorite green chile . I have to order anything with green chile when I am in New Mexico. We stopped for dinner as we were driving through the area and I'm so glad we did! The pizza was so good! Seriously one of the best pizzas ever. We had the South Mountain and the thick crust was crisp on the bottom, the sauce has a nice zing, the cheese melted to perfection, and the toppings were fresh. The service was also friendly and fast. I got the turkey and spinach calzone which was a great combination of flavors but the edge of the crust was super crunchy and a bit overdone so a little challenging to eat without ending up covered in crumbs. We decided to stop as we needed to get caught up with work and who doesn't like pizza.. plus the road conditions are pretty bad. To start, New Mexico has some of the rudest people I have ever come across, so walking in you never know what you are going to get. The staff at Pizza Barn was a fresh of breath air. The young lady that helped us was friendly and had a welcoming smile and attitude. We ordered the Route 66 pizza (delicious!) and a few beers and she made sure we had what we needed. Everything came out as requested including the amount of ranch I asked for, which is rare There were two gentleman outside shoveling the parking lot and they were helpful on where we should park as we aren't familiar with the area or restaurant. We were looking for a good pizza and this place popped up on Yelp. You come in and order at the counter and then choose a table where they bring the food out to you. We wanted to sample several things so we ordered the Green Chili Cheese Bread Sticks, the Small Spicy Chicken Wings, and a 14" half and half pizza. My half was mushroom and pineapple and my husband chose chicken and sausage. Everything tasted great, except the wings were a bit too spicy for me. Also, the green chilis were a bit spicy also so I just removed them from my breadsticks. The pizza was very tasty. My husband really appreciated the crispy crust and the toppings were ample on both sides of the pizza. They have 22 beers on tap and even some cider if you like that, which I do. We are in shock!! Just witnessed a customer at the counter complaining about not getting his full order and when he requested a refund the manager said No and called him a BITCH!!! The manager should be fired!! All staff stood there watching this manager's foolish behavior and stopped serving the customers waiting for their pick up orders and waiting to order. Drove for like 40 miles on I 40 on out way to Albuquerque, NM reading billboards about this place. We arrived and the place is not a fancy Italian restaurant, it's just a "barn" looking shed. So I looked at my wife in disbelieve but decided to go in anyhow. They have 22 different beer drafts. We ordered our pizza, 14" with five toppings. I ordered a "Dos Equis" and my wife ordered something she could not even pronounce; I guess she wanted to look "sophisticated". We sat at a booth, the place was clean and well maintained, just a nice place! I knew I was doomed because she would not drink the beer with the weird name and so I would have to give her my delicious and cool Dos Equis beer! Ugh! First impresión about the pizza sauce was that it was "canned" sauce. I got my "red" pen ready to write my review. The pizza was delivered to our table promptly, no long waits, and it looked very nice. My wife was already regretting the beer, now she was questioning the pizza. I knew I was going to have a long 800 miles to go! We each took a slice to sample it and to our surprise it was delicious. I was relieved. However, I noticed my wife sample her beer again, and after her eyes became crossed, her mouth distorted as if she just witnessed tofu being made, and her composure looked like an excorian, I knew I would have to finish the "nasty" beer while she enjoyed mine!
