    Grilled cheese with fries

My first visit to this establishment was on January 20, 2026. My dining companion and I went there a little bit after lunchtime. There is good signage and adequate parking. Total seating I estimate estimated to be about 40 people maximum. It's relaxed decor with a really outstanding mural covering the entire south indoor wall. The menu offers choices of American diner type food and a few Mexican dishes. I had the chili cheeseburger with a side of fries and friend had grilled cheese with fries. The cheeseburger was cooked to my specifications and came with onions, pickles lettuce. Very good flavor and a nice bun. The fries were done perfectly. The grilled cheese was a great comfort food. Prices are excellent. The service was good, considering the fact that one person seemed to be responsible for the entire dining area. Still, she was cheerful and efficient.

This place can not get a order right. The food had a funny taste and eggs were burnt. Worst experience we've had in years

The food was awesome! We order the New Mexico favorites combo plates Christmas style! Be ready for some heat but great flavor!! The meats in taco and enchilada were juicy and beautifully seasoned!! Service was prompt, friendly, and very attentive! She was always ready with drink refills or extra napkins! The ambiance is roadside dinner with some fun Snd creative touches! We'd stop again next time we're traveling through!! Thanks for a tasty meal!

Stopped by on our way to MT and was amazed on how delicious the food was! We had their breakfast French toast and Huevos rancheros. Full of flavor and great price! Easy to get to. Staff is very welcoming! A must visit!

If you're looking for the iconic NM smothered breakfast burrito, look no further!! The green chili is amazing, not too hot, just right. Red is also very good. Bring your appetite!!

Quality of food depends on who's cooking that day. I have been served spoiled food here more then once.

All Roads Cafe popped up on Yelp and we thought, "what the heck?" Turns out, this is a hidden gem! This is a splendid sandwich shop sits at the end of a small plaza, and the ever-changing menu means that you won't get bored ordering the same dried out turkey whatever thingy. I sadly don't remember what sandwiches we ordered (the perils of doing a Yelp review almost a month later), but suffice to say that we didn't leave a single crumb behind. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was a fun locals vibe.

Here's a cleaned-up version that keeps your energy and voice:…read more Okay, so for the 66 Diner: we stopped here during our Route 66 road trip, which most of you know I've been taking very seriously. I've been hitting all the spots I can and being very strategic about the food stops. This place is nostalgic, historic, and right along the way in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It gives you all the old-school diner vibes immediately. I will say, all the young ladies working there were extremely nice, and the service was great. It definitely passes the vibes test. The burger tasted like that classic all-American diner burger. Not too greasy, but not trying to be some "beyond meat" situation either. Just good stuff. The fries were great, and very, very, very importantly: it passes the ranch test. We had a side salad with ranch, and the ranch tasted good on the salad and even better with the fries dipped in it. We also had the 66 Burger, which comes with green chiles. I had never had that on a burger before, but it was a really good twist and a nice local touch. Green chiles seem to be a big thing in Albuquerque, New Mexico, so it was cool to try that there. The onion rings were great too. If I hadn't been so full, and if it wasn't noon with eight more hours of driving ahead of us, I definitely would've gotten a shake too. All in all, absolutely great classic Route 66 vibes. It has all the nostalgia, great service, and great food. 10/10 recommend. Everyone should go.

Super friendly staff especially our server, Brady. It was the perfect ending to a day of driving. I ordered the Chicken Ranchero and a Chocolate Covered Strawberry shake. Both were delicious and enough food for two people. One of the best shakes I've ever had! Came to the table all dressed up in a tall soda glass with enough extra served up in the stainless steel shake mixing cup it was made in. This place is a must stop while out on your Route 66 travels.

They call these 2 places "ghost towns" which is a bit of a misnomer. I do think that Madrid and Virginia City Nevada have a similar abandoned mining town vibe that we both found charming. And with the exception of the Virginia City Hat Maker, Madrid has better art. We came in on a Friday and just before a weekend music festival was to begin with the Mine Shaft being a major participant. We missed all than, but wouldn't have minded a little early live music. We snagged a nice outdoor table on the deck and enjoyed 2 different types of delicious brisket, along with generous portion of fries. I had a local beer, while Gayle had wine. We took our time and really enjoyed our time here. Until next time....
