Great music playing when you walk in. Looks like a mom and pop type place for locals. I like all the flyers on the wall. There is an article that says top 50 pizza joints in the US. I so sorry, there is no way this place or top 50 anything. Very disappointing. Had a slice all they did was take a cheese and add some toppings and not cook it fully. Very very disappointed.

    Pizza slice with pineapple.

I rarely eat pizza and I'd never consider putting pineapple on a slice either, however, one day, I was curious and put the question out on Facebook. Where can I go to get pineapple on a pizza slice? A FB friend recommended this joint. Us New Yorkers refer to these places as joints. I pulled up to an empty parking lot and empty joint. Hmmm. Does anyone come here? I took a chance. After I ordered my slice with pineapple and the highly recommended Canadian bacon on it, the place started to fill up. I mean from the parking lot to the counter, folks of all ages & cultures were lined up to place their orders. Def reminded me of NYC where all kinds of folks lived and ate together. On the walls were framed pictures and memorabilia of MY old New York: the Statue of Liberty, the NY subway system and a few Broadway show programs. Did I like my pineapple slice? Yes I did. Did I feel guilty about offending my Italian family of Sicilians and Calabrese back in Little Italy in lower Manhattan? Not at all. But I was warned! I still love my cheese and/or pepperoni and will go back to order that.

Dang... this really is some top tier pizza. I was absolutely blown away by this spot! It's been family owned and Albuquerque since 1988 and I can see why. The pizza is fantastic, sauce is beyond tasty and the cheesy bread hot damn!! This spot is definitely no frills and has super great pricing! A must try!!

I would say this is the best NY style pizza I have had in New Mexico. Hands down, the dough has been adapted perfectly to the low humidity and high altitude of Albuquerque and the resulting pies are spot on. Prompt attentive service from staff coveting both back and front of house combined with a retro fifties diner feel set the stage for an afternoon of NY style pizza dining excellence.

Got an 18" pizza with $3 each extra toppings of mushrooms, onions and bell peppers so $9 worth of extras, and this is all we get??. My family owns a food truck and have done wood fired pizza for years now and this is not the type of customer service thats expected and we'd never give or even worth $9. If anyone wants lots of toppings do not go here.

straight up amazing pizza. i've had pizza all over the US, including nyc and chicago, and this has gotta be in my top 5. abundant toppings, crisp delicious crust, and top notch flavor. the green chile was amazing on top. service and ambiance were awesome too. i loved all the stuff on the walls and spent the whole time looking around at it all. if i were local, i'd be here every weekend. another nice touch that i love in a pizza place, was the self serve parm, red pepper flakes, and oregano. highly highly recommend.

Totally agree. Great NY-style pizza. Has been around forever. Close to Gibson Blvd. so great for those stationed at the Air Force base.

The pizza was good, but not the best I've had in ABQ. The crust was fantastic. And the canzone, however, was spot on.

I ordered many treats for myself and bestie. One pastry that caught my eye was the classic butter croissant dough with activated charcoal, glazed blood oranges, and blood orange curd. I'm not sure if this is only a seasonal item. The colors are beautiful! It was quite sweet, however the blood orange tartness aided in the flavors giving it a bit of tartness. The Boston Cream Cruffin looked mighty tasty. It's made with their signature croissant dough rolled up and filled with vanilla pastry cream and dipped in dark chocolate ganache. Amazing sandwich, fresh, delicious! While we were enjoying our food, Pratt Morales, the owner and master baker, came out and talked to us for a while. This was a real treat, great positive attitude and love for what he does. He even introduced us to one of his specialties the Turkey shaped bread he makes for Thanksgiving. So popular now he gets hundreds of orders per year. We left with some biscochitos and other cookies to go, and a desire to try more things when we are back in Albuquerque.
