This is what they call an Athena, and I got it in a Large. Wow, it's so flavorful, packed with flavor. And I like the touch of Basil, it gives it that freshness. This is one beautiful Pizza Pie. This used to be the best spot for pizza in this area but has taken a few steps down since the ownership change after the pandemic. A part of having a business like this is being able to order pizza by the slice, something that the original owners used to have. But since they've taken it away I haven't been back since. Out of the 12 of us 8 of us ordered a salad , filled out the form , paid for our meal separately into 4 parties. The cashier Ambika H is what my receipt says. Went directly to salad bar to make our salads , reaching into the (Romain lettuce with the same black gloves he had on the register handling our credit cards, using pencil/ pens) I asked him to please change his gloves after tending to cash register! I ordered online at Pizza California, and this place is very nostalgic to me. We would get it all the time as kids, so I wanted to try it again. The place is large with lots of seating inside. There seemed to be one person working and making the pizzas at the time I picked up my order. He was nice and service was quick. I got the Steakhouse pizza. It was interesting to have steak on pizza. I did think it was a little too greasy for me, but the crust was good. Next time, I will stick to the Bruschetta Chicken likely. read more

They have a really fresh salad bar, lots of beers on tap, and my favorite a soda machine that lets you customize your drinks! I went here for the first time yesterday. Inside is very typical looking of a pizzeria. My friend and I stared at the menu for awhile as we waited for our other friends to show up. We decided to split a medium Monterey Chicken pizza, bacon cheddar breadsticks (for the group), and two sodas ($48). It was busy, so we managed to grab a table in the corner. It didn't have any dishes or napkins on it, but it hadn't been wiped down either. Maybe they were busy? The breadsticks came out first. They were really good and served with ranch and marinara dipping sauces (prepacked in small plastic containers). I would say they were a little heavy, but what was I expecting? The pizza came out next. My friend and I didn't want leftovers, and had sorely underestimated. This pizza is very cheesy and creamy. It had a good taste, but the chicken was mildly dry. We had two slices each, and I brought four slices home to my parents. The sodas come out of one of those cola machines that have a touch screen and 500000000 options. So, can't go wrong there. We stayed a bit past closing but they didn't rush us to leave. I thought that was very nice since it was 9PM on a Thursday. I always enjoy the food at Pizza California. My husband and I always share a large steakhouse pizza. We ordered lemon pepper wings today as well. One of my favorite things is the collection of hot sauces. Sadly with the newer ownership, I have found the service to be a lot slower and not as warm as before. They're nice enough but there is definitely something lacking. So far this isn't enough to deter us from coming. The dining room is always clean, neat and well stocked. If I could give this location zero stars, I would. I would like to specifically mention Ambika H. for her unprofessional behavior. I arrived at 4:56 PM to order the Combo Special, which was advertised as ending at 5:00 PM. I was informed that the special was no longer available, so I accepted that and proceeded to order wings instead and paid. However, after my order, I observed that two customers after me were given the Combo Special, despite it already being past 5:00 PM. I questioned why I was not offered the special when I arrived before 5:00 PM, yet others after me received it. I was told that one customer received it because they had called ahead and were a "daily customer," and the other because they were a family member. This is clear favoritism and extremely unprofessional, especially toward a first-time customer. I requested to speak with a manager, only to be told that she herself was the manager, which makes this situation even more disappointing. A manager should uphold fair and consistent service, not display biased treatment toward customers. Lucky for me, I walked over to PC and was left completely blown away by my poor decisions of not giving them a chance sooner. I placed an order for the Newport Salad. This includes: mozzarella, garbanzo beans, kidney beans, pepperoncinis, tomatoes, and crispy salami strips. My order was done quickly and super affordable. The size of the salad was hearty, the greens were vibrant & crops, and the house-made vinaigrette was delish! 5/5 stars. A little pizza spot next to the bagel and cafe shop on the right side of H-Mart if you're looking at H-Mart from the parking lot, there are plenty of parking spots. With outdoor seating (plus large screen TV) and plenty of cooled air-conditioning inside seating, you can't go wrong. Add some beers on tap, Pizza California is an enjoyable spot to hang out to grad a brew and bite. That said, I kind of wish they had a bar. They have an area to the left when you walk in from the front that can possibly be converted to a bar? A bar area would be cool.
