We've tried a few different items like the pizza (of course), spaghetti, meatball sandwich, cheeseburgers, salad and garlic bread. Love the variety here and it tastes homemade. Always hits the spot It's tucked away in a small shopping center. You probably wouldn't know it's there unless you knew or stumbled upon it. They're usually playing whatever sports game is on but there's a nice outdoor seating area to sit when it's warm outside. There's beautiful flowers growing and a few cats sunbathing. Went to Antipastos for lunch on a Monday, but for some reason they were closed (never been there before), so went up the street to this place. It was mid-afternoon and nobody was there so I ordered a slice of Venetian pizza on the lunch special and it was delicious. I had to have another slice so I tried the Napoli and it was also delicious. The prices were great and the service was good. This little place in the East Hills is a gem. read more

The setting of this shop is old and gross, there was an old guy watching the world's most boring show loudly on a big screen while barefoot. Not a good way to increase a person's Appetite. The pizza was not great and was super soggy in the middle, the cheese was low quality and not fresh, and the sauce was basic. I also ordered their HOT buffalo wings, which were ok but I've had better at for the price. The service wasn't bad, it's just if your food isn't top notch your service better be. Small mom and pops type of restaurant in the East Foothills of San Jose. This family owned business is hustling trying to survive the brutality of what the pandemic has caused to our small businesses in our communities. I ordered dinner which was a pizza with pineapple, jalapeños, and olives (don't knock it until you try it!), and it was delicious. The sauce wasn't overpowering and it was clear that it didn't come from a can but rather a secret family recipe perfected over the years. The crust was thin and light which made it impossible to have just a couple of slices. Enjoyed every single bite! Their menu also offers spaghetti, burgers, sandwiches, ribs, and much more. I would definitely recommend checking them out for a night in with the family. If you plan on putting in a large order, call ahead because the cute family running the business are super busy with phone orders and takeout. As of January 3, 2020, outdoor and indoor seating is still on pause but I'm sure things will feel a bit more normal for them once our county reopens for dine in services. Great mom and pop restaurant! My coworkers and I were in the area and starving so we picked a random place for lunch. Glad we picked here! There's three cute little cats to greet us and I'm assuming he was the owner, was super nice! They delivered a pizza that was cold and overdone then the dude on the phone wants to argue with me over it. Mistakes happen so I don't hold that against them, but then argue with me, a long standing customer, over the issue when I've never made a single complaint before? No thanks, not worth the headache and certainly not worth my $30. I delivered and made pizza in college for 5+ years. I know when it's cold etc. It was just on the oven too long (dries out and can sometimes even continue to cook in the box) staying warm or something else, it was not burnt. I vote with my dollars and there won't be any more spent on Pizza Maria ever again. Absolutely avoid the crap shoot. read more

I visited this place for the first time yesterday. I am surprised I have never heard of this place before but my brother spoke highly of this restaurant. We ordered the Sicilian style pizza with Sausage, Pepperoni and bell peppers. The pizza was very flavorful and the portion was large. I prefer my pizza crust to be on the crispier side so next time I will ask if the can keep it in longer. They serve beer and wine so I look forward to enjoying their outdoor seating and having a nice beer in the summer. Looking forward to trying more menu items soon. read more

I HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE HERE! Called to order a pizza and asked the man on the phone "How long of a wait for a pick-up?" He replied, "30-35 minutes." So I placed my order for 18" #8 (pepperoni, onion, bell pepper, black olive, sausage) and I paid to add bacon. I waited 25 minutes and drove to get drinks at the liquor store near by and arrived at Pizza Maria at the 33 minute mark. I paid $32 and some change for the pizza with $40 and told the young man helping me to keep the change... he thanked me then told me it was going to be 15-20 minutes more and I (disappointed I had to wait knowing friends were waiting on me) told him I would be waiting in my car. The young man asked me what type of car I had and I told him, assuming that meant he would be bringing out my pizza. After 20 minutes I went back inside and he opened the oven door and showed me a pizza in the back of the oven and said "it's almost finished, just needs about 3 minutes more." I went back out to my car and waited 10 more minutes and thought ~ I guess he's not bringing it out to me so I went back inside. He opened the oven, motioned to a totally different, less cooked pizza and said "it's going to be about 10 more minutes." WHAAAAAAT?!!!!!!! I then say to him " ok, but you were really off on your timing. It has been an hour now." I am still shocked and upset by what happened next. A short man with started yelling and screaming at me telling me not to say anything to the young man, that they were very busy, that they weren't just sitting around!!!! At first I was speechless but then I replied "I have been waiting an hour after being told it would be 35 minutes and I was just telling him he was off on the timing and the man yelled over me the entire time I was speaking saying how busy they were and to not even talk to the young man (the young man was trying to tell him to stop). I have never been spoken to like this! I went back to my car (embarrassed and humiliated because the other patrons in the shop were just staring at me). I waited 10 more minutes and the young man brought out my pizza and while apologizing put it on my passenger seat. Can you believe after all that, THEY GAVE ME THE WRONG PIZZA?!!!!!!?! They gave me a pizza with pepperoni, sausage, MUSHROOMS AND EXTRA GARLIC!! My friends and family are so mad at me for not sticking up for myself and not immediately taking the pizza back and demanding my money back! Lastly.... this is not my first time ordering from here... in fact they have delivered the wrong thing a couple times but because my brother and recently deceased father love this place and want to support it as a small business I still order from them now and then. Love this pizza place! We have ordered for pick up, delivery, to go and dine in. Every time we have quality service and great food! Whenever I see the little Pizza Maria car pull up to the house I know we are in for a treat. The pizza is always fresh- fresh veggies, meats and gooey cheese that makes the best of comfort food. They also have burgers and fries on the menu.... when I say fries I am referring to the yummy garlic fries. The garlic bread is also delish. We like to stop by and say hi to the awesome employees, order to go and grab a drink and watch whatever sports are in the big screen. They will custom make whatever pizza you like which is nice because I like to order half of one of the specials and half of whatever concoction I decide sounds good.
