The first time I ordered from New York Pizza, the food was absolutely delicious -- so I decided to reorder for my family on a Saturday night. I was tired, wanted to treat everyone, and didn't feel like cooking, so I ordered a large pineapple and ham pizza along with their special that included 10 wings. When the order arrived, the wings were missing. Since I ordered through Grubhub, I wasn't sure who was responsible, so I called the restaurant directly. The person who answered simply said they would refund my money -- no explanation, no apology, and no offer to redeliver what was missing. I had to ask what happened, and even then, the response felt dismissive. It was very inconvenient. My family was waiting to eat, and we ended up having to make something else to replace the missing chicken. I was genuinely disappointed by how the situation was handled. The family wanted to try a different place to order pizza, so I took to Yelp and found King Kong NY Pizza which was just 4 minutes away from our home. I downloaded the Slice application and put in our order at NY Pizza. The app let me know when it was ready to pick up When I arrived, I was greeted by a smiling, friendly young lady who handed me our two XL pizzas (one sausage, one cheese...we like our pizzas simple). The box was hot, which meant it just came out of the oven (talk about timing!). The interior of King Kong NY Pizza is small and well kept. With a couple of tables and chairs for those who wish to eat their pizza on site. When I got home, the pizzas were still hot, and my family took to grabbing their slices. Thin crust, holding up to lots of cheese and sausage. My kids both gave a thumbs up ( which they don't give easily) in between bites of their pizza slices. The family ate the entire sausage pizza in a matter of minutes. It's a good thing we had the other pizza! Next time we're going to try one of the combination pizzas. I ordered a large pizza for pick up. When I got there, it was already ready. So I did like the quick service. It is a NY style type pizza and I got the half combo and half meat lovers. The pizza tasted fresh and not as processed as you get from a Domino's or a Pizza Hut. There was also a good amount of toppings and cheese. It tasted great with the red pepper flakes. The price was decent since it was not as expensive as other pizza places. For parking, I was able to find a spot on the side street in front of the store. Inside, there were a good amount of tables for dining in. There was also a tv on so that is a plus. The restaurant did look and feel fairly clean as well. Great pizza. One of the best pizzas ever ! We got the King Kong and that baby was huge!!!!! The topping stayed put on Those big'o slices. Pizza had a beautiful cheese pull that's a must when you're eating a slice. Pizza was cooked all the way throughout. I'm a big stickler for fully cooked dough. Like I could use it as a throw blanket on the couch because it's so big. This far, I have not had anything that I didn't like here. A hearty pie with a nice, thick crust and a fair amount of toppings - not too much, but I wouldn't call it skimpy, either. Great pizza here, got a large for margherita and the all meat pizza. Both all meat and margherita tasted fantastic.

Be aware when coming here that the parking situation is kind of difficult! It's very limited parking in the front (full when I got there) with a bus stop so you can't just pop in and out. There is parking in the back but then you have to walk around the whole building to get to the front and I dont think it's very handicap friendly. I got the tuscany pizza and an order of the cheesy bread. Guy on the phone was nice and friendly at pickup as well. My husband wasn't a fan of the crust but I think he's just spoiled and picky. The crust was soft and on the sweeter side. I really liked the cheesy bread and the marinara sauce that came with it went really well with it! The Tuscany pizza was great but I felt like it was missing something somehow. Or maybe I wished the sundried tomato was in smaller chunks. I'm not sure.
