First time here and it was amazing! Staff was so friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean and cozy. TV had the World Cup on so that was nice too. Pizza was outstanding! I'm going to preface this with the staff was very nice. My son ordered carry out and we live about 5 minutes from this place. He ordered while he was there and waited for the food. So, you'd expect the food to be fresh and hot. Here's how it went. We had the old bay fries, chicken with potato wedges, steak and cheese, and pizza. The crust on the pizza was burnt, rubbery, and barely had any sauce. The old bay fries were tough and cold. You could tell it was old and had been sitting for a while. The chicken was extremely dry as well as the hard and rubbery potato wedges. The steak and cheese were okay, hence the two stars. It was very flavorful and the bread was fresh. I'm not sure where all of the 5-star ratings came from but the food we had was TRASH!! My grandkids didn't even like the pizza, and they're crazy about pizza. read more

NY Native and pizza snob here. Is it NY pizza...No. Is it good? I think it fits the bill when you want pizza that isn't from a freezer and doesn't cost you an arm and a leg. A solid 3.8 from me overall. The decor feels a bit cheesy and underwhelming but unless you're a full block sit down Italian restaurant, I don't expect much on that front. The Sicilian has a great simple taste with good crisp and the round pies are exactly what you expect for Fredericksburg stone fired pizza. We recently tried La Bella Pizza and had a fantastic experience, both with the food and service. We ordered a small Pineapple and Chicken pizza along with the La Bella Special Pizza. From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us warmly and went above and beyond to accommodate our larger group by arranging tables so we could all sit together. As we waited for our food, they treated us to garlic knots, which were absolutely delicious. The pizzas were great overall! The only minor issue with the La Bella Special was the fresh Burrata cheese on top--it was cold, and when you bite into it, it takes a moment to get past the cold cheese to enjoy the warmth of the pizza. I also think a bit more hot honey would have enhanced the flavor. But aside from that, both pizzas were delicious. We definitely recommend La Bella Pizza! read more

We visited the new La Bella Pizza restaurant & were greeted by the workers. I ordered Buffalo chicken pizza and my wife got the margherita pizza, along with bacon fries and mango habanero wings. EVERY BITE WAS WORTH IT. Everything from the toppings to the crust was high in quality. I can't say enough about the taste of the food. For sure, a place that you would want to come back to. Food: Since moving to VA I've been on the hunt for the pizza that tastes closest to my favorite from my hometown, Rocky's Pizza in Hagerstown,Md. This New York Style pizza came very close. My hubs and I shared a small pepperoni and none of it came home with us! Side salad was good and perfectly sized. We had a Vienna Lager and a Stella. Both hit the spot after a long work week. Service: service was awesome! Our server was very friendly and attentive. She checked in with us often and provided everything we needed. Ambiance: it was fairly quiet as we ate a fairly early "Linner". Typical pizzeria setting. Comfortable and low key. Large TV by the counter offered music and nice background scenes. The New York style think crust pizza was pretty good but I noticed that every pizza sent out yo customers had an overcooked burnt crust, including our own. I'm not actually sure how to rate this place! One really great experience and one terrible one ordering the same items. After reading about that place on nextdoor.com, I ordered a couple of pizzas for delivery...a Sicilian with pepperoni and a regular with just cheese. The crust was AMAZING! Overall, I thought it was pretty good, except for paying $38 for two pizza's when the Sicilian was much smaller than other pizza places. If the Sicilian was larger, I wouldn't have had a problem with the price. Then because of the positive experience, a week later, I ordered the same thing again, but for pickup. I only live 4 miles from the place and left to pick it up immediately after ordering. Since I left right away, I thought I'd have to wait a bit for the pizzas to be done....but they were already waiting for me which made me wonder how they got it done so fast. And when I got home they were barely warm and had to be heated in the oven. Again, I only live a few minutes away. I was so disappointed that it's doubtful I'll return again. The regular large pizza was overdone, very little cheese, the pieces were all separated and loose around the box. The other one, the Sicilian was also overdone, also not much cheese and, as I said earlier, both pizzas were like they had had already been done for a while before I got there (were they reheated pizzas they had prepared earlier?). I'm not sure what the problem was but I think, that while the crust is delicious, I'd rather go back to Brother's on Plank for my pizzas. They are always consistently made and delicious. read more

I've been coming here for 6 months since being in this area. I was extremely surprised and disappointed that Moreida kept telling me that the black burnt garlic pizza knots were supposed to look like that! I've ordered them for months and even the images online if you compare them to my picture never looked black and burnt like that. Instead of being accountable or even acknowledging that they were burnt this time she kept on firmly saying the same thing, which just became a turn off and an uncomfortable experience. We've had pizza from La Bella and it was 4-star worthy. This time we tried Pasta and found the lasagna and baked ziti to be average at best. Both were really "cheesy" and the sauce was bland. This was our first time ordering from La Bella, but will certainly not be our last! We have a handful of "regular" pizza places that we order from, but La Bella may have become our new favorite. We ordered the Spicy BBQ Shrimp Pizza, the La Bella's Special Sicilian, and the seasonal Crab Sicilian. All three were absolutely delicious & I'd be hard pressed to say which was my favorite...seriously, each was incredibly delicious. A few other reviewers mentioned the wait time -- admittedly our delivery was apx. 20 minutes later than the stated time, BUT it was absolutely worth the wait and the driver was extremely apologetic (it was a busy Friday night). Even with the wait, the pizzas were hot and delicious. An added perk? They delivered to downtown Fredericksburg! We will definitely be ordering from them again! read more
