Fredy's has a wonderful pepperoni sphere that detaches to reveal itself as hidden triangle food. I consumed these delightful cheese pyramids today and the lab technician told me it was of the pepperoni kind, which is the one with red meat frisbees, also known as crimson mouth discus. Well, I call it meat frisbees because I'm all about class. The pizza was a rotund sphere of hot cheese, like the ones fabled to have originated in ancient Atlantis. The cheese was hot and elastic, like silly putty after it's been in your pocket for many days. I call it dairy pudding, and it stuck to the tasty meat disks as if they were conjoined twins. Under that was a hot red sauce lake, made from tomatoes and sorcery, probably. The meat spheres were spicy little meat frisbees, but smaller and edible and they tasted like paradise. Some of them curled up at the sides like they were trying to become tiny meat bowls. I ate them before they could finish. No meat bowls in my hood. The crust was the part you hold, also known as the pizza bone, and it was crunchy on the edge like a toasted bread fence, and chewy in the middle like a bagel that was also an old man telling you to get out of his yard. I dipped it in ranch dressing because my tarot card reader says that's what my Venusian ancestors once did. Every bite was like a dance party in my face hosted by the mayor of Cheese Town. Oh, and even though Freddy's didn't have a giant pizza slingshot to launch the pizza into my open mouth, it was still pretty comfy in there. Real nice folks too. Not one of them made fun of my reverse-Mohawk or challenged me a belly-buster contest. Yes! I can finally be comfortable while eating my pizza bone leftovers! A+++ read more

I ordered the Mommy's Favorite pizza (pepperoni, sausage, green peppers & olives). The overall taste of the pizza was okay but I couldn't get past the softness of the crust. I couldn't even fold the crust to eat it. I ended up taking some of the topping a d placed it on the edges of the crust. Therefore if you were sharing the pizza, there wouldn't be enough for 2 people. The crust itself was extremely flat and reminded me of Passover bread, made with no leavening agents. Also for almost $17 the pizza was pretty small when compared to a traditional large pizza at other establishments. If you're trying to feed a family on one of these pizza's you'd be better served going with a more traditional place like Three Brothers. read more

First experience ordering with Fredy's. The guy working was extremely nice. Parking lot where it is located is a little sketchy since it is behind a liquor store. My spouse and I stopped for gas at Ken Mar and I went in the liquor store to look for snacks since we were on the way to an Airbnb in St. Leonard. I knew my spouse was hungry and wasn't sure what else we'd find along the way on a drizzly Friday night, so suggested we try the pizza from Fredy's. My spouse was surprised that I was down since I guess I can be kinda snobby about food (and about pizza especially as I'm a New Yorker) but I could honestly tell by looking at this truck parked in a barely-lit gas station lot that the pizza was going to be good. It was great! We got a white pie I think and it smelled garlicky and delicious as we drove the last few miles with it in the car. It tasted great and the crust was uniquely wonderful. I'm not sure what to call this style or even how to describe it except that it's real. It's real pizza. It's maybe not exactly what I grew up with or what I've had in Italy, but it was high quality and properly made. Other reviewers are correct: if you've only ever had cheap national chain pizza you might be expecting something different and thus feel disappointed...similarly, if your palate is only accustomed to fast food burgers you might be surprised by your first bite of steak (I know I was.) The value here was excellent: less than $20 and we made two meals out of it when we ate the leftovers on Sunday. It still tasted great and the crust's texture held up. I can't speak to the service because my spouse made the transaction while I waited in the car, but we didn't have to wait long for it. 10/10 would recommend and want to try all the varieties on the menu. read more

I ordered pizza from Freddie's before and it was a good pizza. But tonight I ordered two cold italian subs and was very disappointed. The online form had options for sauces like mayonnaise, mustard, etc. I did not want any sauces so did not select any sauces. I also made a comment that I did not want any sauce on the sandwiches. When I got home and looked at the sandwiches, they were slathered with mayo. Also the menu said it would have pastrami on the sandwich, but no it did not. I don't know how the hell this place got the ratings they got. Maybe I just ordered on a bad day..I ordered a large pepperoni pizza and requested it to be cooked well done with extra sauce since I read the reviews stating that the pizza could use more sauce. The pizza did not have extra sauce and was super sloppy looking. I should've took a picture but my kids were starving so I didn't get the chance. I also ordered a Caesar salad. Their website clearly states it comes with grilled chicken on it. Salad did not have grilled chicken in it and a different kind of cheese was used on it, not mozzarella..I called Fredy's to explain I must've got the wrong salad by mistake and the lady starts yelling at me that I didn't order it with chicken and that she didn't have mozzarella cheese so that's why she used the other kind of cheese..uh ok? So why not call and ask your customer if it's ok to improvise or if they just want to cancel it??? She continues to rant on and on about how I need to take it up with Slice (their ordering service) if I want to have any resolve to my issue. Our office is next door to where this is located. We can walk there so we all have tried a lot of different things! I was skeptical about a food truck, but let me tell you what! Their pizza is delicious! I think it is pricey, but it sure is good! The wings & steak & cheese subs are great too! I usually get the chef salad which is awesome! The small one is plenty as a meal. The ingredients are fresh and chopped by hand. They are not from a bag. Most recently I tried the mozzarella sticks. I think they are the best I have ever had. WOW...I've tried Fredy's 3 times now (once delivered to my room at Springhill Suites in Prince Frederick when I was visiting; and then 2nd & 3rd times now that I've permanently moved to Saint Leonard: picked up from the food truck both times)...I think Fredy's pizza is excellent: homemade/freshly made crust that is just the right density (not too thin but not too thick) and is the perfect balance of soft/tender yeasty interior with crunchy thin crust--and I love the wood-smoked scent/flavor from the oven; the marinara sauce is thick & rich with homemade tomato depth (not the thin overly salty marinara of many commercial pizzas); and the toppings are fresh and hand-prepped. I've also ordered both the antipasto salad (excellent: packed with meats/cheeses/veggies which makes it a meal in itself) and the house salad (can't remember what its called but its the basic green salad with cheese) which is a standout accompaniment to the pizza because every ingredient is super fresh & crisp & hand-prepared: this is NOT a bagged commercial salad...like everything else at Fredy's, its fresh and high quality as if it were home made by a friend or family member who is a great cook. Honestly, I was shocked when came to the Fredy's page to write this review: I seriously expected all 5+ star reviews. So, yes, this is "brickwood pizza" that has a smoky-edged taste from the oven (and I think delivery problems with Door Dash belong in a Door Dash review: my first delivery to Springhill Suites was delivered in a snowstorm and the pizza was hot and kept safe/not sloppy in the box at all; my pick up orders have been perfect). Called to place my order around 430pm... their menu says they can deliver after 4pm. I was told that the driver would not be in until 530 6 pm and that I could order now but would have to wait. I didn't want to wait, but they lady on the phone said she would call her driver to come in early. I waited for an hour for my food... I told the lady on the phone that I was paying in cash. When the driver arrived, I had 2 $20 bills.... he had NO change. I placed two separate orders both under $10..... Common sense would be if a person places an order and is paying in CASH- to have CHANGE. My fries were burnt and my sandwich had NO flavor other than the mayo and cheese. Me and my boyfriend were actually impressed with how the food was in the beginning. Ordering multiple times a week we shortly came to realize that it was no longer the case. The food was starting to come wrong more and more.. They would make promises that they wouldn't keep. Our pizza would either be wrong or burnt.. I always gave them a tip because the delivery was free and the workers were always polite. I order basically the same thing every time and they still could NOT get it correct. When i would call to let them know that they messed up, they would tell me next time i ordered i would get free fries and my correct pizza. Well i called two days later and they asked for the pizza back that they had given us that was wrong ? Which i had already threw away because who keeps wrong pizza for two days? & told me they could only give me free fries... fries are only $2 ... how does that compensate for my $15 dollar pizza that they had gotten wrong for the THIRD time... When i finally got my free pizza which i deserved .. the driver told me i was not allowed to complain anymore because her boss was mad. Well if you wouldn't get my food wrong when i order from you multiple times and give you my money for wrong food i would not complain.. Today i was willing to give them one last try which was a mistake.. all to be told that they have a 15 dollar minimum .. which has never been said before because i've had a order be $11 multiple times for my pizza?
