It's a Travelers Rest family favorite! I LOVE the Eggplant Parmesan dish! Comes with salad, garlic bread and lots of delicious spaghetti! They have pizzas, pastas, sandwiches and appetizers. It can be a bit pricey, but not as expensive as those upscale type places in downtown TR. They get slammed busy on weekends, so it's important to order early for pickup and be patient with your wait. My big family and I really like the fact that there's enough variety for everyone to find something they like! *you may want to bring some antibacterial wipes or something. had a good experience at Pizza House. I ordered the meatball spaghetti and lasagna for pickup, and both were delicious. While I was waiting, I noticed some beautiful cakes on display. It looked so good that I decided to try it and I'm really glad I did because it was amazing! Overall, the food was great, and I'd definitely come back. This is a nice 'go to' Italian restaurant which I had passed by many times before trying it. It's a spot for locals and anyone who spots this place off to the side of the highway. The service was good. Thats about all of the positive I can give for this place. The atmosphere is like a revamped Burger King. Dust on everything. The food...oh my. Save your money. Go find a Burger King. The pasta is overcooked. They give you about 2 pounds of pasta. I got the eggplant parm and it was gross. Bland. Sauce was something out of a jar probably. Not even a good jar. Was in town for a couple of nights and asked the front desk at the hotel what would be a good place? I was told this was a good place for Pizza . He recommended this place . Placed my call in order after looking on the online menu for a small house special with no burger which was supposed to be $13 mozzarella sticks, which were supposed to be $8. the food was ready. the pizza was way better than the mozzarella sticks. Looked at the receipt once I got back to the hotel room I was overcharged for the mozzarella sticks overcharged for the house special. you think they would've taken off another dollars since I asked for no hamburger meat and they charged Non cash Fee, but I paid with cash !!!! definitely overcharged . so make sure you check your receipt before you leave the establishment as I wish I would've. read more

This place is amazing. My husband and I bought a car at the dealership down at the other end of the road and we asked where we should go afterwards. This was their recommendation without hesitation. It's nothing fancy, but it's everything I wanted in a pizza place. Small town feel. The place is actually owned by a Greek family so there is a little Greek twist in a lot of their menu items. The salad dressing was like Italian and Greek dressing met and had a baby. In the best way. We started with fried mushrooms which came out as a heaping portion with ranch. Classic burn-your-mouth situation but Britney (sp?) our fabulous waitress warned us. The pizza was perfect for two to share after the appetizers. We thought it would be a quick trip (and it could have been, service was fast) but we hung out for a little while and enjoyed the company. The pizza is some of the best I've had anywhere! The spaghetti looks amazing, and the serving is HUGE! The staff are friendly and go out of their way to make sure each order is to your liking. My wife and I are new to TR and tried Pizza House. The pizza was ok, but the reason for 1 star was the credit card charge. I ordered a large 2 topping pizza for pick up. The price with tax is $20.33. However, the owner arbitrarily and without my consent charged me a $3 tip. This is credit card fraud and clearly illustrates the owners criminal and immoral character. Today we ordered a small Hawaiian pizza, chicken quesadilla and a side salad with the parmesan peppercorn. The pizza was the best we have ever gotten from the Pizza House. First time ordering the Chicken Quesadilla and it was delicious and big. Their side salad is always enough for 2 and try their parmesan peppercorn dressing. One of their staff suggested that to me one day and we LOVE it! Thanks agan for another great meal. We ordered online and picked up at the drive through window. At one point this was my Go~To Restaurant in Travelers Rest for Italian Food. A few weeks ago, however, I came through the drive through, picked up a $40+ dollar order and when I got home (just around the corner) my food was cold. It wasn't even warm. Anyway, any restaurant can have an off day so I decided to give it another try...Yesterday on September 14th after 4pm I came through the Drive through, ordered Chicken Parm and a large Lasagna...It was cold in the center and Luke warm on the edges. 2 trips in 1. First & last. I called in an order to go for a Calzone. It was my 1st time there & I stated that to the owner, working the register. He stated that they've been there for 7 yrs, so they must be doing something right. Well, Mr we've been doing something right, it was the absolute WORST calzone Ive ever had. First off, they charge $10.99 for a Calzone. Most expensive Calzone ever! My toppings were green pepper & onion. Not steak or lobster. They put the cheese on top of the Calzone instead of inside and it wasn't baked long enough, so the dough inside was raw, as you can tell by the pic it was a nasty disaster. So gross. I do NOT recommend this trash for any living human being. I own 3 dogs & even they wouldn't touch it. My favorite place to get a Calzone or Pizza is Pizza & Then Some. Their food is off the chain!! The two stars are for the service. Our waitress had the restaurant by herself at lunchtime. There weren't near as many people as I'm use to seeing., and we know why ! First of all they were out of diet soda, my friend then asked for unsweetened tea with Splenda or Sweet and Low , no sweetener, they were out . We press on , he got the baked ziti which came with a house salad , he ordered French dressing, they were out. At this point we asked what was going on and the waitress said the owner had been out of town for 3 days . We saw owner just sitting at a table , there is literally a grocery store 2 minutes away ! Anywho he's baked Ziti was swimming in grease , so much so , he got an extra plate and drained it! I got the small Hawaiian Pizza and although it was correct it was super done , almost burnt. I ate a small amount of the pizza and left the rest , my friend said his salad was good. $28 plus tip. I drank water. What a pleasant surprise! We had just spent 8 hours plus on the road with our fifth wheel and discovered (once situated at our campground) that food delivery was not an option. It was getting late so we chose the Pizza House even though it received mixed reviews from other Yelpers . We ordered the house special spaghetti and meatballs (accompanied by a side salad and garlic bread) and a small Hawaiian pizza. The menu was diverse for a pizza joint and they even offered up some Greek specialty items. We had been on several significant road trips lately, and had pretty much zero luck in the food ordering department, so we were a bit apprehensive. Upon inspecting our picked up meals, we were visually impressed with both entrees. Upon sampling the food, we were even more delighted! The pizza was the perfect size and the crust, sauce, cheese and toppings were well balanced with tons of flavor. The salad, with house made vinaigrette, was fresh, crunchy, tangy and delicious. The pasta entree was huge! I'm a stickler when it comes to meatballs, since we usually eat ones made at home, but these were contenders. This one meal, actually turned into three - a great value. The noodles were perfectly al dente even after steaming in the container during the ride back to the campground. The sauce was just a tad sweet for me, but that mellowed out when eaten with the protein and pasta. We have lived in Travelers Rest for two years and I am ashamed to say it took us this long to try Pizza House. On a Friday night they told me on the phone it would be 15 minutes for my order to be ready for pickup and it was. That was not as impressive as the smiling faces at the drive-thru window who were super friendly and thanked me for my order. I really appreciate when businesses seem grateful to their customers. I took my daughter to Pizza House today as a treat. The waitress was very quick to take our drink orders and check on us for our food orders. My daughter ordered the House Special Salad and I ordered the House Special Pizza, we ordered some Mozzarella sticks for our appetizer. The Mozzarella sticks came out hot and cooked through, they were partly melty but not running out of the breading. The meat sauce was served the temperature of the sun, so we had to let it cool a bit. My daughter's salad was huge, so she only ate about a third of it, but she really enjoyed it. My pizza was cooked perfectly, the crust had a crispy exterior and a still slightly chewy interior. I always love the pizza and the hamburger and sausage coating in the sauce, every bite gets the meat flavor. I've always enjoyed my meals at Pizza House. Well I have a very mixed review... the food was actually really good we had a Calzone and All the Meats Pizza. The service was... strange... We got there about an hour until close. We had a young lady that seemed very nervous, at first we assumed she was new. The man that looked to be the owner seemed very annoyed and some of the other waitresses too. It was like being at a family function that had a huge argument. Rylee was our waitress' name and it looked to us like she was being bullied by multiple co workers there. She was extremely nice to us but you could just tell she was trying to get through the night.. she could barely wait on us because they kept giving her crazy jobs, bathrooms, parking lot, etc... while being fussed at because we needed refills and then boxes and a check... This used to be a good pizza place. The last 2 orders were very disappointing. One had the cheese on the bottom and sauce on top????? This one didn't have any sauce. Have been here many, many times and always loved it. Went there last night and wondered how they are still open. Booth table top kept tilting everytime you picked up your glass of tea, menus were DISGUSTING - seriously. Ripped all around edges, not laminated so they were filthy. Ordered my Italian Sub - was mediocre at best. Fries were soggy. Made a mental note to look at the Rating on the front door and it was an A. I was very surprised. Ceiling needs replaced, salad case with glass housing definitely needs replaced. I feel the owner needs to have a little pride in his business and bring it back to what it once was. read more
