First time here as our group leader chose it. We were a table of 14. It was lunchtime and we did reserve the tables. Server was great, very attentive. Lots of different menu items ordered. I heard the chicken and rosemary soup was good and served with a slice of baguette. The side salads looked big as there was a lot of greens on the plate. I chose the Spinach salad with pears and gorgonzola cheese plus the grilled chicken as an add on for $4.75. I think the chef just opened a large bag of spinach with storks on,(which I removed as I ate).Dumped it in the dish topped it with some cheese and a few slices of pear. Red onion thinly sliced (which I didn't care for) One person had Lasagne which was a large portion (she took half home). Person next to me had Pizza with double pepperoni. It looked burnt at the edge but uncooked on top and in the middle. There were a few more salads and a Chicken with Caper sauce and pasta. It did get busy during the course of our stay. Music was a little loud and we had to shout to be heard. I asked to pay for two checks.. no problem I was told. Server came back and said I had to pay separately for each ticket I visited the bathrooms, neat and tidy Overall it was ok, food ok. Server was great!! read more

Unfortunately we don't get food Italian food back home in NC and this hot the spot. We had a large group and the kids were able to get their food while we ate our appetizers. The wings got phenomenal and if you like bruschetta just get it. I'm not a fan of the cheese but everything just meshed so well in each bite. The salad with the vinaigrette was to literally die for. I ended up getting the chicken piccata for my meal and it was so much food. But worth every single bite. We had high expectations for tonight's meal but we were soon let down once our meal arrived. For starters, after waiting an hour to have it delivered, we found that the driver from Uber Eats forgot to either pick up our salads (from Bova) or to deliver them. When we looked in the delivery bag and realized this we texted the driver and called Bova multiple times without success. Now for the meal. I got Chicken Parm Dinner and my other half got Penne Vodka Chicken. Mine was tasteless with the worst excuse for garlic bread I have ever tried to eat. I really don't know how u can make such bad garlic bread. My advice- stop now! Remove these thick, bland crackers u call garlic bread from menu. My other half was under impressed with the Chicken Vodka. The chicken seemed to come from a bag of frozen grilled chicken strips. The Vodka sauce was good. Of course, we didn't have any salad with our meal. Still waiting for response. If it's actually delivered and good I will update this review. Now, to top it all off, the meal was $49. Plus a $8 tip. Fried calamari is like rubber (just typical frozen stuff), the chicken parm was definitely from a bag too, and the pizza was ridiculously tiny, and extremely thin like a cracker. Greek salad needs more veggies or fewer greens for the size of the bowl. To many pepperoncini but just the right amount of olive. Bigger slices of veggies. I prefer the Mediterranean dressing to the balsamic vinegar dressing. The New waitress was kind enough to serve me my preference. I'm so confused why this restaurant only has 3.5 stars. The complaints I'm seeing are a tad silly, in my opinion. My boyfriend and I just ate here for the first time tonight and I wanted to share my experience! The hostess immediately greeted us and was very friendly! She also gave us the table of our choosing without us even having to ask, which was nice! Danny was was our server and he was SO great! Very friendly and attentive to our needs. He was also the one who made our adult beverages and they were delicious!!! My boyfriend had a Washington Apple and I had a Lemon Drop Martini. Garnish and presentation for both were accurate! We ordered the bruschetta for an appetizer and it was so yummy!! Presentation was great, flavor was great and the portion was large! I will be getting it again in the near future for sure! For our entrees I got the spaghetti with meat sauce and it came with a side salad, I got the Italian dressing for it. Fresh QUALITY lettuce with freshly shredded mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, and onion. The dressing was delicious too and they gave a good portion of it as well! My spaghetti with meat sauce was delicious and also a generous portion, I broke the leftovers home with me! My boyfriend got the 12" Greek pizza which is cooked in a brick oven pizza. He loved it! Said the crust was perfect! The restaurant was clean, staff was very friendly and food was delicious! They also have a nice outdoor seating area! Will absolutely be back!!! Bova has been in the area for several years yet this was the first time we came to eat here. It's on the corner of a ministrip which has Publix grocery store, a hair salon, an insurance office, a pet supply shop, and a few other on other side of grocery store possibly another restaurant and dry cleaner, not positive. So, there's ample parking and even outdoor seating. This reminds me of a sports bar but nicer since not as loud. There's a couple of TV's and even bar seating. You can see there's beer on tap along with bottles and wine options. I was here to have lunch with my son since he loves eating pizza and his dad has several food allergies, especially gluten and dairy, thus we figured we should enjoy it while he's away (it's the one food he misses most). When we looked online, the menu had mention less gluten; yet when we walked into Bova, there were signs stating gluten free dough! Hmm, something to consider as a treat in future. It was relatively late lunch 1:30 pm so not too busy. There was a table with a large party from what looked like same medical office, some folks at the bar, and other tables with older couples and mother and adult son, besides us. We were welcome to find any seats we wanted. There were booths filled and the only other open one had not been cleaned off so we took a table. The waitstaffs were all really chill and laid-back. When I was asked by yelp if this placed had WiFi, I did ask our waitress who gave us the password. We decided to order two 12" pizzas. Pizzas of that size ranged from $11-19. Lots of choices and could build your own. Son doesn't like veggies on his pizzas so we had the Meat Lover and BBQ Chicken. He also ordered a lemonade while I had a glass water bottle that I came in with, that I place my essential oils in. There's no price on the menu for drinks and was $1.99 pretty typical. She had automatically returned with a refill, but didn't come by that much, though with pizza, there's not much to follow-up with . . . We needed two boxes. Could have easily had just one. Both tasted great, crust very thin, toppings flavorful, especially the BBQ Chicken. Not that much chicken but the sauce grows on you to really liking it! There were other food menu options, meals, etc but we didn't bother looking at it. It's a really nice, casual place to eat. Cost a bit higher but you could totally split a pizza if desired. Pizzas are sliced to 6 vs 8. I liked the convenience of the place since we then were able to go grocery shopping and since we were full, didn't buy anything out of hunger. Leftovers are great! Good place to meet with groups or with another friend/partner. And if single, you can sit at bar or table and watch the TV. read more

Was looking for a place to eat last weekend for a double mom/son date when my friend suggested Bova! When you walk in, it is like an Italian, sports club type vibe. High top tables and booths. Nothing super impressive or stand out decor but that's no biggie. We did not have a wait when we arrived and our waiter came to our table immediately. I got the Caprese grilled chicken and broccoli meal which tasted superb. I just wish I took a picture before I started eating it lol I did get a side salad that was quite tasty! My son got the ham and pineapple pizza because.. he's crazy. He said it was delicious and at the whole thing. I tasted my friends sons pepperoni pizza and the crust was thin and crispy. We were greeted at the front door and said we'd like to go to the patio. We were then told, "No dogs on patio" we left. With "Ranger" secured in our HMMWV M998 (hummer) and about to leave, The same woman walked up to us and asked if he was a service dog. "yes!" and it's clearly posted. Seriously, nothing special (at least mine was very ordinary). I got the seafood pasta in a cream sauce. Now let me first state that I very rarely add salt to my food - but if it were not for the salt, parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes I added in copious amounts to the sauce, it would have been void of any flavor. With that said the shrimp and babby scallops were cooked just right. But, the water like consistency of the flavorless "cream" sauce is what I will remember about tonight. However, my wife thoroughly enjoyed her parmesan encrusted grouper in a lemon butter sauce. One taste of that made me seriously whish I had ordered that instead. I figured since it's been so long and they are still in business maybe the food has improved. Well I was wrong the food is absolutely poor. The wings taste hot & old/stale definitely not fresh. I've been to this restaurant 4 times. The first two times the food and service were good. The last two times were horrible. I ordered a drink with the waiter, then after around ten minutes I went to the bar to order the same drink. My drink was flat so I decided to get a water, which never came. Since my original review I have been to Bova many times. The do ok on their pizzas; sometimes they are slightly under cooked but ok. Their hoagies are good with plentiful ingredients and good bread. But their entrees are sub-par. The menu description and what u get are almost always different and if you point this out, the owner acts offended and angry that anyone would care... I mean, isn't tilapia just like salmon and round steak just like filet medallions? You won't get any comps even if u send it back. The food we had was absolutely delicious. The menu has a great variety of Italian dishes. My food was flavorful and my pasta wasn't over cooked. Everything had just the perfect amount sauce as well. For an Italian restaurant, I was very disappointed that my meal came with untoasted bread with just a little butter spread on it. It would have been considerably better if it was proper garlic bread.
