Soooo glad to finally find a Pizza Hut that takes me back to the day my family managed a Pizza Hut in another Texas town years back when I was in middle School . .... yes family and friends worked at the pizza hut my parents managed . An awesome time period in my life . This Pizza Hut takes pride in the presentation as well as the flavor (yeast flavorand golden crisp ) . Who needs Chicago deep dish pizza ??!!! We r new to this area but we have ordered at the Decatur Texas Pizza Hut location 3 times and we will continue to we also ordered the baked pasta ! yummy !!!! Well...it's a Pizza Hut. If you've never been before, then you must have had a very sheltered life or someone was trying to save you from embarrassment. Either way, it's okay. Just...okay. Locals flock here for the lunch buffet, or an attempt to win a bet on who can pile the most pieces of pizza on their plate and make it back to their seat without spilling any. It is a talent that defies physics, while at the same time, compels me to slap a sticker on their chest that says "I HOGGED THE BUFFET at PIZZA HUT!" Yeah...good one, Tubby. You win. No, really, this is why I often dislike coming to a Pizza Hut buffet. It's not about the food, but because of some of the people who propagate here. No, I'm not a snob either, but I know what manners are, and apparently manners are at a loss when some people walk through the door at these places. The disappointing thing is that for some curious reason, Pizza Hut serves about 60% pan pizzas, 25% hand tossed, and 15% thin crust on their buffets. Why? Because they want to fill up the average "Joe" with about 4-5 slices to keep costs low. Not that Tubby over there really cares. He's up for anything he can shovel onto that dinky plastic plate without having to make a return trip anytime soon. More SWEET TEA, BUBBA? Me, I'm a thin-crust guy. I don't like a bunch of dough getting in the way of what pizza should taste like. Others...they want a yeast and flour overdose for some reason; something I don't understand [thank God]. Actually, the toppings are pretty good, if you're lucky enough to find the ones you want. What I've also found to be helpful, is to ASK for a specific style of pizza when you first get seated. That way, after your salad, you can get exactly what you want. That's a plus. The restaurant is fairly clean, and the customer service is good. We are traveling through a Texas from Nevada to Louisiana. After checking into our hotel we ordered pizza. I called several other pizza places but, they don't deliver. I was hesitant to order from Pizza Hut because they were only 2 stars. We ordered a large supreme pan pizza and a brownie. The delivery person was here in 30 minutes. He was very personable. The employee at the window told me to let him check to make sure my order was correct so I know he saw that and then still gave me that pizza anyway. I ordered a large meat lovers and a 2 liter Dr. Pepper. Ordered it from the web. It showed I would get it at 7:35 tonight. I got it at 8:30. It looked like it was not cooked enough to eat. Sparse on toppings. It was cold. It came in two medium boxes. I have been calling them to complain but nobody answers the phone. I have been a loyal customer ordering pizza from them but I will reconsider my options going forward. Poor quality. Poor customer service. Food is not eatable. I had to cook my pizza. Ordered a pizza for delivery to the Hampton Inn, in Decatur, TX, at around 9:00 PM on 03/12/2020. Was told that it would be about an hour for the delivery. Called again about 10:15 PM as no delivery had been made. Was told that there was only one delivery driver and that he was on his way with our pizza. 10;30 PM and still no delivery. Fortunately we had some Vienna sausage with us so we didn't go hungry. Delivery showed up at 10:45 PM. Since we had already dined on the Vienna sausage we refused the delivery. Use any pizza delivery service in Decatur that is not Pizza Hut. read more

Have given this location a few chances and each time they have disappointed me. The pizza is meh at best, but that is to be expected. What disappoints is that they don't keep the buffet filled. It's almost like they are surprised that people want pizza from the buffet. Its lunchtime, and lunchtime comes the same time every day. Be prepared! Stopped by here on our way home. While the pizza was actually really good, the atmosphere, cleanliness, and friendliness was not. Hardly a clean table to sit at for a family of 5. We snuggled into a booth. But with 5 drinks, 2 pizzas, breadsticks, and a bowl of pasta...clearly no room. Not a care from the staff at all. Never asked us if we needed anything else. Never acknowledged us after setting the pizza down. No "enjoy your meal". Nothing. Then I saw them start picking up dishes from the used tables. Never were they wiped clean the whole time we were here. I picked up the parmesan cheese container to use and it was covered in pizza sauce. So gross. I will never come back here. Customer service was terrible. (I ordered $15 in carry out this evening) I realized that I forgot my cash in my car for the tip, I had $4 cash in the car so I added $1 to my card when I paid, planning to go back to the car to get the rest of the money. While walking back out to my car the girl who rang me up yells to the rest of the staff (and anyone dining in) "who wants the dollar?" I ordered online and went to pick up my pizza at the designated time through drive thru, I paid and they told me to wait for 5 more minutes. I waited full 20 minutes for the pizza and went inside to tell them this and saw that the pizza was ready but nobody cared to give it to me! Last time when i visited pizza hut, someone gave my order to someone else for free and I had to wait for another 25-30 minutes for remaking my order. We were staying at a hotel in Decatur and we could see Pizza Hut from the window of the motel and we ordered four pizzas and breadsticks when we got the order it was cold so who knows why and then they forgot to deliver two of our pizzas you would think that they would notice when they left to deliver the pizzas two were missing so I give this restaurant poor rating and they were rude when we called back and they said "well you know we are busy" read more

Our company always orders pizza from Pizza Hut when we are having a pizza day. They always are within the time frame they say it will be here or early. The pizza is always hot and delicious. Drivers are always courteous and appreciative of the tips they get. Oh and Yelp...no one from there ask me to write this...so hope it gets posted! read more
