This Wendy's has been refreshed a bit. It's still part of the Pilot truck stop but they now accept orders through the Wendy's app. This was good because there was a queue and I was able to "skip" it by ordering our lunch with the Wendy's app. The food did not take long at all. Mrs. K. had her baked potato and I had my "Biggie Bag." Everything was assembled properly. Fries were not, nuggets were not and they neglected to put the dipping sauce in the bag. They've also not upgraded their soda fountain from a regular Coke with five choices to the modern Freestyle machine. Other than that, it was fine. Despite having a completely full bar, and waiting tables, she acknowledged me almost immediately. Even sat down in the bar stool next to me to take my order and chit chat and go over the menu with me. I think her name was Alicia, but regardless she was outstanding! I ordered hot wings and lemon pepper wings. They came out really fast, really hot, and really good. I kind of wish I had room to order another entree, but it filled me up. As I waited for my food, I was suddenly engulfed by an entire group of locals. Now this place, is the mature crowd, and they were so nice they sort of took me under their wing! This is the epitome of down south hospitality. I've been holding out on coming to this place for a few years now, and looking back, I wish I would have came a lot sooner.
