Sometimes you just gotta stick to what you know. Take one thing and do it really well. They just sell pizza and they only have 7 toppings but the pizza is excellent. Whenever I'm nearby I call in an order for a half cheese half pepperoni. The pizzas all come with a 2 liter of soda which I don't usually need but I feel like the price is reasonable with or without it. They also do slices which is nice too if you just want a quick bite. No atmosphere as there is only a couple tables but it's pretty much a takeout only spot.

Was craving some pizza one Sunday and stumbled upon this place. It was a bit out of the way for me but the reviews indicated it would be worth it. I walked in, was greeted immediately and able to order. I got two pepperoni slices and they are the closest I've had to NY pizza since living there. They came out of the oven fast, very hot and for two huge slices and a drink was only $8! Mozzarella and crushed red pepper flakes were available on my table.

This is a place in Charleston's suburbia that lines the highway leading to the rest of civilization, a handy stop for those of us that often drive out of the city around dinnertime looking for a quick bite. The menu is about as simple as you'll ever see: you can get pizza by the slice or whole. For me, the only option I could eat was cheese (and if you're vegan or gluten-free this is not the place for you). They have no vegetable toppings and no salads. This is a pizza slice place. My two slices were ready quickly, and the taste was on point. A rich cheese menu with an extra zing that you rarely find outside of the Northeastern states, a crust with a delightfully browned exterior, and high quality sauce. What more could you ask for? They had a combo with drink, but it was a bunch of sugary soft drinks or water, so I just got water. Given how much bottled water I carry, I wish I'd just stuck to slices. But I try to rate places on how well they do what they're claiming to do, and for a NY-style pizza by the slice, they do it right. Note: The shopping center turnoff is very close to another turnoff that leads to a separate parking lot that doesn't connect to the one with the delicious pizza you came for, because whoever designed this complex with two unconnnected parking lots is a moron. But that's not the restaurant's fault. The correct turnoff is the second one.

I opted for half pepperoni to try both options. I didn't get to it for a pic before my wife and friend got a slice.

I'm not gonna sugar coat it: I was a little disappointed that the only options were cheese or pepperoni. Not having the ability to add garlic to my pizza hurt my soul, but I digress. The pizza was pretty good! Would I eat it again? Yes! Would I drive 30 minutes for it again? Probably not, but that's more about our relative distance from one another, not so much about the quality of the pizza. It's up there with the best in the area.

The talk of Dorchester Road the last couple of days has been nothing but Antonio's! Everyone I know who had tried it, said it is amazing. Everyone I know who had not tried it yet, made plans to go. We got word Saturday afternoon that as soon as they opened the line was out the door. We started to go, then said no, then said absolutely YES!! The shopping plaza parking lot was packed with people waiting out their time for their pizza. We got in line and as soon as you walked up the smell was amazing. When pizzas previously ordered were ready the owner started calling out names. John B., Jeff T. Once the person heard their name and grabbed their pizza we got everyone cheering and clapping in excitement for what they were about to get to eat. When it was our turn to order we knew from other friends who'd been there already that we could order by the slice. One cheese, one pepperoni please. They really wanted us to get a two liter of sodi pop but neither Diane or I drink it, so we passed! The owner could definitely feel our positive energy and joy and came around front to take a picture with us. How cool is that!! Everyone is correct on this one. The pizza is amazing. Fresh, great cheese, pepperoni, sauce and the best crust. This is so close to my house and will be in the local restaurant support rotation. Don't walk, run! And be kind and patient as they'll remain packed for a good while.

Excellent and genuine NY pizza, soft and tasty dough, smooth creamy cheese, crispy pepperoni! 2 for $6 huge slices! Some of the best around town!

Decided to try as last minute decision. You can purchase pizza by the slice. The slices are large. I ordered two slices of pepperoni but one would have been plenty. The pizza was already cooked but they heat up before serving. It was really hotter than it needed to be. The pepperoni was really greasy. I did like the crust. Good flavor. They have enough room for about twenty people to eat In restaurant.

Plain and Pepperoni is all you need !

Went here during a group vacation trip and overall good experience at antionios ordering carry out. Pizza was good but overall I would say it's pretty average New York pizza. The down side is they only do pepperoni or cheese pizzas here with no other variety of pizzas. One thing I will say is price vs the size of the pizza was greatttt and cost effective. The service was great as well with staff being very respectful.

We didn't necessarily come in chasing the local-favorite pistachio pesto pizza, but unfortunately for our future cravings, there is a reason people talk about it. That pizza was ridiculous in the best way. The crust, which is AMAZING, had those blistered, chewy edges that make you immediately respect the dough, and the pistachio pesto was rich, nutty, and glossy without turning the whole thing into a heavy cheese situation. Every slice felt like it had a little extra personality. We sat where we could see the pizza being made, which is both charming and mildly torturous when you're hungry. Dough, toppings, oven, waiting. A tiny drama in four acts. The wood-fired oven was doing the kind of work that made me wonder why we waited years to show up. The place itself feels like a real neighborhood pizza spot: worn wood tables, red and golden walls, local art, chalkboard beer list, and enough character that even the bathroom wanted to be part of the review. I'm honestly sad we waited this long. EVO has clearly been over here doing its thing, and we were just late to the party.

BRING A TAPE MEASURE!!!…read more I've never been anywhere that serves a larger slice than Benny R. does. And it's soooo yummy. The crust has just the right amount of chew--enough to give it character without feeling doughy. The cheese is impressively balanced and not overly greasy. I have a little ritual I call the "dab test" to see how much excess oil ends up on the slice. At some pizza places, it takes three or more napkins. Here, there was barely anything to blot. The sauce is excellent. I've had pizza where the garlic dominates every bite, but Benny R.'s strikes a great balance. Every ingredient complements the others, creating a flavorful sauce that enhances the pizza rather than competing with it. Pizza, 5:5. As for the atmosphere, it has exactly the kind of charm you'd hope for in a neighborhood pizza shop. It's casual, welcoming, and comfortable without trying to be overly polished. If you make your way to the back, you'll find a fun surprise. There's a bar, games, and a few other touches that make it a great place to hang out beyond just grabbing a slice. Ambience, 5:5 I really enjoyed the service. John took great care of me. He was friendly, courteous, attentive, conversational without being intrusive, and efficient. It's hard to ask for much more than that. Service, 5:5

I ordered the special of the day, the bacon cheeseburger. I don't know if it was intentional or not, but it was a little extra crispy and honestly, I really appreciated it. Often, it's soft/floppy, but that extra crunch was nice! I also enjoy the interesting variety of soda options - I chose a blueberry, which was interesting. The person running the counter was nice & friendly - they ended up getting slammed/busy after we got our order, but she was working her butt off to take care of everyone. The space looks very small up front, but it extends to the tap room in the back, which we didn't get a chance to check out on this visit. I would stop back in for another slice if in the area.
