We had an event to work in this area and next to us was Fireside Pizza, so after viewing the menu, we decided to take pizza home for dinner. We ordered a Ceasars Salad and a Short Rib Pizza. Salad was delicious and I loved that they did toasted crumbs rather croutons. The short rib pizza was amazing, savory and tender tasty rib meat, but not overpowering. The fact that this spot is 50 minutes away will not deter us. Plus, there is a gorgeous Publix up there...so, groceries and dinner to go..win win!

Great find in Moncks Corner!! Great pizza, wonderful service and a beautiful mural to look at. I was watching the different dishes that came out to other diners that were sitting close to us and oh my I can't wait to go back and get some!! Just be careful turning into and out of the shopping center as the road splits and it can be hazardous!!

We decided to start hitting some smaller local places and this was our stop this week. And boy are we glad it was!! When we first walked in we noticed how clean the place was. And the waitress was super friendly. Great first impression. Then I ordered a chicken and pasta dish and my husband ordered the cheesesteak. The food was DELICIOUS!!!! They were able to get my chicken juicy on the inside with a wonderfully crunchy outside with tons of flavor! The pasta was cooked just right and the flavoring spot on! And it came out looking so pretty! The cheesesteak was so good that he had none left to take home lol. We will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu! Great local find!!!

Went for the first time, we had the Philly egg rolls and a pizza. Food was good, our waitress was friendly and chatted with us . Very clean and not too busy but we did go about 2pm.

Fireside SC is a hidden gem! Their homemade pasta is some of the best I've ever had--the short rib pasta and pistachio pesto are outstanding. The poke nachos are also a must-try. Great food, great service, and a casual vibe with five-star quality.

Incredible start to a new restaurant in the Low Country (Moncks Corner). Food fabulous and the service, while they are getting their feet wet, was good! Our server Sarah was attentive and made sure we were taken care of through our meal. Definite family vibe. Menu has something for everyone interested in a good meal. Highly recommend. Five stars!

Friendly staff, smooth service, and a great spot for conversation and people-watching. Definitely a staple for a night out and always happy to come back.

But people from other parts of the country, primarily may associate CHS with Low Country food like Shrimp & Grits, Fried Green Tomatoes and She Crab Soup. I didn't see any of these traditional Low Country dishes on S&S's menu. I did see (1) Carrot Bolognese, (2) Green Curry Cauliflower and (3) Seared Yellowfin Tuna with cashew tahini. S&S is a modern, creative, vegetable and fruit-focused Shareable Plate restaurant. A cool take on Farm to Table. You'll also find some seafood, chicken and meat dishes. It was so hot during our visit, that an imaginative menu with lighter high quality ingredients was welcome. My wife and I tried: Grilled SC Peaches with watercress and vinaigrette Watermelon with pickled rind, feta cheese and a vadouvan vinaigrette Gem Lettuce Salad with Maple Tahini, pistachios and pink peppercorns ‍ Chantrelle mushrooms with SC corn, black garlic and potatoes Free Range Chicken with an Ahi Amarillo sauce and cabbage Aside from the chicken, all of these dishes felt inventive and fresh. The plating was terrific. Lots of colors, shapes and textures. The flavors really popped. The stand-outs for me were the peach and watermelon dishes. The chicken was good too by the way. It was well cooked and had good texture. I wish the World had more restaurants like @sorghumsalt . It was a joy to eat there. Five Stars *Sorghum & Salt is not new in a technical sense. I was extremely disappointed with the hostess, who also answers the phones. Another customer apparently had a phone number similar to mine, and the hostess mistakenly entered my number into their reservation system through OpenTable. When I received a text confirmation for a reservation I never made, I immediately contacted the restaurant to address the issue. During my first call, the hostess stated that the reservation needed to remain in place in order to hold the other customer's reservation. I strongly disagreed, as my personal information was being used for another customer's booking. I attempted to cancel the reservation myself through OpenTable, but the app indicated that only the restaurant could remove it. I called back to request that the reservation be properly canceled, especially considering I was spending my own time trying to correct an error made by the restaurant. Unfortunately, the hostess repeatedly insisted it had already been canceled while speaking in a condescending tone. She then placed me on hold without asking if I was able to wait because she had another customer in front of her. When I called back, my calls went to voicemail twice. I ultimately left both a voicemail and an email regarding the matter. Based on this experience, whenever we visit South Carolina in the future, we will not be returning to this restaurant location.

I had a few options, but ultimately landed on Gervais and Vine and made a reservation. On the recommendation of our server, we started with a bottle of In Sheep's Clothing and got to ordering. I had already scoured the menu before coming in so I was pretty sure I knew what I wanted. I love that it's smaller portions so you can order different dishes and try a bunch all at once. We started with the baked brie which I think had an apricot spread plus some fruit and bread. Then we did the petit filet mignon, pork with gorgonzola cream sauce, spicy shrimp gambas, and the seared jumbo scallops. This may sound like too much for two people and you would be right but it was so delicious. I highly recommend everything we had. If I had to choose some standouts, the shrimp were phenomenal and I'm still thinking about them. The biggest surprise was the pork. It was a good size portion in comparison and the cream sauce was so good. Honestly, if you followed this order to a T or any variation of it, you can't go wrong. We weren't rushed in any way so in lieu of dessert we took our time finishing that bottle of wine. While there were some other menu items that jumped out at me, I would absolutely come back and order the exact same thing again. This was one of my favorite meals this year.
