The other review might seem bad, but the food quality and the service were good, and the environment was relaxing.

We went for lunch, seated right away, we decided sit at the bar. Great service was provided. I think a manager came out was kind of sitting at the end of the bar, he too was so friendly. And lucky he did because we didn't know about there dessert area. It was out of view, but yes make sure you walk back there and see all the delicious dessert, made all in house homemade. Nice drinks selection and very nice selection on the bar from bourbons to tequilas and everything in between. Now, hear me on this, I THINK I found some of the best pizza in Charlotte!!!!! The restaurant outside of the actually city, but you know what I mean That saying a lot being from Buffalo. But man, their Hawaiian heat wave pizza. Just had pepperoni, pineapple and drizzled with hot honey. Look before you say ick pineapple don't belong on pizza, please just try this one first. There sauce incredibly good and the crust was cooked to perfection. Absolutely loved this pizza. We got wings, a burger and blackened chicken panini as well. No complaints on the food. Everything we had was really good. If I lived in Charlotte I'd be here once a week for the pizza alone. Maybe they will see this and offer shipping hahaha.. I also couldn't leave without a dessert, so went with the apple pie blossom..no complaints, flaky crust, filled nicely, great ending to our meal Seriously tho, this spot was a hit, great location, great service and amazing food.

The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between cozy and thoughtfully designed. We started off with the pepperoni bites as an appetizer and each got a salad, Caesar, Strawberry, Antipesto and Chicken all filled with quality ingredients and flavor, very well-prepared and satisfying. We finished with cake and cheesecake. The blueberry lemon cake was a bit on the stale side (don't order if it's the last slice in the dessert booth), the cheesecake and chocolate peanut butter cake hit the spot. Service is another standout--friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in making your experience enjoyable. You get the sense that the staff takes pride in what they do, and it shows. Bottom line: Great food, welcoming atmosphere, and top-notch service--definitely worth a visit (and a return trip).

You won't find that anywhere in North Carolina, and Davino's isn't trying to be that. What it is? The best pizza in the Lake Norman area. This perfect little hole-in-the-wall has great specials and consistently solid pizza. The crust hits that ideal balance of crisp and chew, the toppings are generous, and the flavor never disappoints. I can (unfortch) house half an 18-inch pizza myself. But what truly sets Davino's apart is their generosity and community spirit. Right at the front counter, they post a simple message: if you're hungry and don't have money, a meal has already been paid for you. Prepaid tickets hang there - some for two slices and a soda, others even for a full build-your-own 18" pizza. It's a beautiful, tangible act of kindness that can make a real difference for families in need. Makes my heart happy. Great pizza. Great people. A place that genuinely cares about its community. Wouldn't mind if they upgraded their fries to the crinkle cut kind they show on their website and not the long John silver kind, but I'll make do with the 'za. I'm proud to keep supporting Davino's.

Their grilled Caesar salad is large enough to share, with deliciously charred romaine and homemade dressing. We also love sharing the arancini when we are not in the mood for a salad. For entrees, you can't go wrong with their pizza. It's one of our top favorites in the CLT area, as it's cooked in a wood-fired oven, and is both crispy and full of toppings. My husband particularly enjoys the Capricciosa, with artichokes, ham, mushroom, basil, and fresh mozzarella. Their calzones are really good, too. I usually get their lasagna, which is served in a bowl and is made to order. Their bolognese has a complex flavor, and the sauce-to-cheese quotient is just perfect. I always have some leftover to take home. If you have room for dessert, I highly recommend the deconstructed cannoli. It's homemade, and divine. Their gelato is well thought-out, served with a side of espresso to soften the ice cream and add a unique flavor. Presentation is carefully and well-thought out. Service is always good as well, no matter what time of day you visit (we prefer early dinners). We love this place, and will keep it on our "short list" for nearby dining!

Novanta 90 Pizzeria Napoletana is located in the Langtree Shopping Center in Mooresville, NC. The…read moreshopping center offers free parking, but I walked over there from the hotel where I was staying. I was warmly greeted when I entered the restaurant. I was seated facing the kitchen in a booth. I just loved the decor with the bricks, open kitchen, and warehouse ceiling. The wood, beams and bricks were reclaimed materials from Manhattan, adds old world charm. The Easter decorations were a nice touch. My amazing waitress created me a mocktail with ginger beer and cranberry. It was colorful and wonderful. It had some tang to it. The Italian restaurant has Neopolitan pizzas and Italian dishes. It was so hard deciding what to select from the menu. If I hadn't just had shrimp, the shrimp scampi would have been what I ordered. Then there was a lasagna with a bechamel sauce I really wanted. But the pizza won out. My waitress talked me into the salad I was debating, too. The salad was Dolce Crostata. It has mixed lettuce, goat cheese, pancetta, candied pecans and golden raisins. I like the salads with fruit, and this one was wonderful. Novanta means 90 in Italian, which is the 90 seconds it takes to cook the pizza. It goes into the 900-degree Italian wood-fired oven. The pizza was a true Neapolitan with the soft, airy crust and a little bit of char on it. It tasted as good as it looked. I wanted a second pizza after my first slice, but I had trouble finishing the first and had to take half of the salad to go. I did love every bite of the margherita pizza and salad. If I lived closer, I'd eat here weekly as the food is that good. This is a hidden gem.

The place looks promising, actually great upon entering, I was impressed. I was very hungry so decided on a tuna "hero" because i figured it was already made and would be quick. The young lady at the counter was fine and the timing was also fine. The "hero" came out in a long impressive waste of paper box. Let me start with this -- cut and pasted from WIKIPEDIA DEFINITION OF A HERO SANDWICH: A hero sandwich is a large, cylindrical sandwich made on a long Italian or French roll. Stuffed with deli meats, cheeses, veggies, and dressings, it is the quintessential New York City term for what the rest of the country calls a sub, hoagie, or grinder. The so call "hero" I ordered consisted of light dry tuna in a bit of tasteless mayo (I guess it was mayo, no flavor) and a bit of chopped onion and celery. Now, the roll, the roll was basically a large hot dog roll. Not stale but definitely not fresh, also no flavor and soft -- definitely not a sub, hero, hoagie, zep, grinder or anything other than a tuna sandwich on a big tasteless hot dog bun -- definitely nothing close to a proper bun. No lettuce, no tomato, no cheese, nadda. I ate a bit less than half when I got home because it was edible and I was pretty hungry. Today I got the leftover half and added some brand name mayonnaise (no Duke or Hellmanns arguments here), fresh tomatoes, lettuce, slice of cheese and it made a difference. The roll was now completely dry but still edible. Sorry, i wish this place would have been good. I miss Sebastianos.
