The food was alright (cicis is better, cheaper, and fresher). The owner has a very bad attitude. I would say that he is borderline abusive to senior women. Tonight, my mother who is in her 70s and I went to this Pizza Inn location for the first time. She likes anchovies and had asked for two orders. One came out. We didn't say anything, but when we ran out, we asked our waitress for a second order. While waiting, my mother remarked to me that she'd like me to ask them to change the station on the TV. The owner over heard her as HE, not the waitress, brought her anchovies. He literally got IN HER FACE, not even 6 inches away and told her in a very sarcastic tone that "You only get ONE order at a time here and we DON'T CHANGE the station lady!" She then asked him who he was. He said, "I OWN THIS PLACE!" I personally had to restrain myself from wanting to hit the guy for getting in her face and talking to her this way. I only came here to scout the place as I am the President of a large Mesquite Singles group and was planning on having a group event here..... After this experience, I will not. And I will tell my group and friends about this and will be posting this review in every possible avenue I can find. I've been here a few times..But I've never said anything..but here goes. This location is good..but it has been kinda slow..not in serving time but customers.. Where are they?..Dont they know that the pizza is always better when there is a bunch of them inside eating..everyone knows thats when the pizza is constantly hot and super fresh. The pizza is good...they even ask you when you get there if there is any pizza you might like served...thats cool.. Salads could be fresher and colder with a little more variety of items like bacon bits would be nice. What happened to the Macaroni?? Where did it go? It was a staple for me to eat at least a plate with their alfredo cheese sauce..now theres just spaghetti...ummm. im not a spaghetti fan but its not bad..but please bring back the Macaroni..it wasnt there the last four times I visited and it left me wanting..Macaroni!!Where are You!!.lol I arrived one time and the cheese shakers of parmesan were few..and had to wait till a customer who was using it finished and when I asked him if I could borrow it right quick he said no and looked at me like I was crazy..we almost had a fight but decided it wasnt worth getting into blows over cheese and since I had my daughters there I just left it alone..his lucky day and with Respect for the owner and myself I didnt want to ruin my welcome there..I like eating there..lol It just needs more condiments to go around. They have a jukebox thats easily accessed either by phone or walkup..loaded with just about anything your looking for. Seating is always clean. Bathrooms clean. Service always friendly and bring you drinks when needed... my favoite Pizzas are always made when I ask for them but it would be nice to have a Stuffed Pizza on the menu there..Im not talking stuff crust but a stuffed pizza loaded with cheese and meats or veggies with the sauce on the side..If they need a recipe for it Ill give it to them for free and show them how to make it. Anyway I enjoy this place and its atmosphere and the colorful people that one can meet there.lol Price is a little above average but at the right time of day its worth it. Didn't honor two buffets for $13 deal. They are using that deal to bait people to come in but then pretending they don't accept the offer. Pizza is bad. Never have good options on buffet. This place was great when i was younger but has really gone downhill. If the manager is reading this, screwing people over isn't going to save your business. Great food, but horrible customer service. I have been eating at pizza inn as far back as I can remember. I get emails with great offers for deals frequently. I received one earlier this month. When I called in to get the deal, I was told it was on line only. I explained that nowhere on the email did it say on line only and asked if they would honor the email. I was told no, and not given any alternative offers. Since I was trying to pick up food on the way home from a long trip, I decided to stop by and show the assistant manager, Connor, the email and that it did not state anywhere on the email that it was online only and explained to him the reasons I could not order on line. I asked again why he would not honor it in good faith. He again refused and offered no alternative deal. I asked if I could have his name and the number to the corporate office. He said he did not have it, and did not bother to proceed any further. Just like he could have done, I used my phone to look up that number and will be calling them Monday. read more

We use Pizza Inn mailers for the discount and the Pizza is always hot and tasty. I have never had an issue with the order or service in 3 years of using this restaurant. I read on Google reviews of 2 Black families claim to have gotten bad service. I have seen a mix of Black, White, Mexican eating inside on most pickups. I am not discounting their claims however I have never seen a problem. I am order food right now. read more

This has been my go-to pizza buffet for several years. The manager, Dawn, is awesome. However, I doubt I'll keep going here for buffet. They've installed a music player that is too loud, and seems to play music that is entirely inconsistent with the clientele. The people eating here are mostly working adults on lunch hour, and quite a few seniors. But the music seems to be what a teenage girl might like. I enjoy having a nice, quiet lunch, and didn't mind the news on the television in the background, but the music is annoying and just plain bad. I'd love to contact the management directly, but that doesn't appear to be an option. I'm disappointed to lose my favorite pizza joint. read more

Super friendly people from the moment you walk in until the time you pay. For the most part everything is always good but you must come in during lunch time or dinner time when there are a good amout people there in order to get fresh hot pizza. I almost always get a late lunch 2-3sh and I settle for what's on the buffet at that time. I understand that if there are not a lot of people then there is no need to pump out 7 different pizzas but still. I like variety. That's my only issue with this place. Other then that great place to eat pizza while watching either news or ESPN. read more

Received horrible customer service at this restaurant. Ordered online and when I arrived to pick up my pizzas, I was totally ignored. Once I finally got the cashier (Dawn)attention she looked irritated and rudely told me to go to the end of the line and wait amongst people ordering. I advised her I ordered and paid online and she said "end of the line". Once I approached the register after waiting in line, I asked for refund to which I was told "we don't do refunds". I asked for the managers number and she advised he doesn't have a number and provided me with an email address to their store. I use to think that Pizza Inn had the best pizza buffet ever! Not so much and not this one. The quality of the food has changed, and its just not as good. Secondly, and my biggest concern is the fact that folks who eat at the buffet continue to use the same old plate that they used when they first arrived. At a buffet, people, you are suppose to get a new plate every time you return to the buffet. I told the manger and it appeared as if they didn't care. Maybe I should call the health department. How gross!! Time and time again I say the spatula touching people's plates that they had sopped up pizza and sauce with, licked! GROOOSSS!!! Called to place phone order/ got an International phone line, Hispanic speaking hard to communicate, she continued asking for personal information after I stated would pick up order. Gave up & cancelled order. Walked into Mesquite, Tx, N GallowayPizza Inn @ 9.45 pm asked if could run to store, she replied if your back in 15 min we close at 10:00 pm. The pamphlet said 11:00 pm. The entire wait consisted of loud Hispanic talking & loud Hispanic music. I thought I crossed the Border for an American Italian dish lol. Nice location. Clean restaurant. Good service and friendly staff. The pizza was hot on the buffet and it was well maintained. I would give it four stars for the people. The disappointment here is the pizza. The pizza sauce has changed and its just not good any more. The sauce at pizza inn was solid for years but is no longer. This is like "new" coke. The corporate guys just don't get it. This franchise brand has been struggling for a few years despite the fact the most of their stores were putting out a much better product than the competition. Terrible ripoff, they charge almost $10 per person for buffett and drink, but will only give you 4 slices of the pizza that you specially order. when you request the whole pizza, they say its company rule not to give whole pie to the customers. not many options on the buffett for vegetarians except pasta and salad. who wants pasta and salad for $7.99? they don't even have a regular cheese pizza on the buffett, but surely have 5 kinds of meat pizzas on the buffett. we recently went to Pizza Inn on Galloway, we had never been here before. We noticed it was a bit full. we later found out that Cici's was closed to do some fixing of a water problem. we went to sit down and since i have a toddler my husband and other children went to go get food from the buffet area. they can back with empty plates because there was no food ready. we sat and waited for a good 10 minutes before we were asked what would like to drink. We asked how much longer it would be for pizza to be ready....they said there should be some soon. we waited another 5 minutes... while waiting these 5 minutes we noticed there were other customers whom had been there before us were also waiting. They then brought out 2 pizzas, to which everyone ran to get. My husband and I grabbed our children and left. They were not prepared at all. No food ready, nothing for back up. I get it there were probably more people than usual during the week....but i was highly disappointed. i left there with hungry and upset kids who were looking forward to eating at a "new to us" pizza place. read more

I'm not a racist person but if you are in a restaurant where everybody is predominantly of a caucasion background and see everybody getting catered to and waited on with the correct request what would you think. I stopped here for dinner tonight. I've been here before and the kitchen is usually slow at keeping the buffet stocked with pizza, but tonight was exceptionally bad. When I arrived, the restaurant was about half full of people. There was barely any pizza on the buffet. I was able to fill a plate with what was left. It is at this time that employees should say "Hey, we have a restaurant full of hungry people. We should probably kick it into high gear and get some pizza out here." But no. After this the buffet was completely empty. They did bring out one pizza a couple of times, which disappeared immediately. Now it really doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that you need to get 10 pizzas in the oven so that you can catch up. I'm mean after all.... this is what you do for a living. Wake up.
