Another trip to Pizza Inn....where we drive from 2 hours away (one way) to eat the pizza. Am I fan?....oh, I'd say so! lol. Yesterday, another great experience. The ingredients, sauce and crust just taste perfect! The buffet pizzas can be on the light side with toppings.....but I can make up for that in quantity. This is the kind of pizza place you take kids where they can fill up on low quality pizza that is about on par with frozen pizza you can put in your own oven. It's OK. It's mediocre , but what do you expect for the price. Service was good and cinnamon streusel and ice cream were also good.

$7.99 buffet was A-Ok FOR THE PRICE Salad Bar -iceberg lettuce mix was the only leaf base offered -there was enough variety to create a below to OK salad bar experience Pizza -all thin crust with OK quality toppings -usually 6+ simple varieties -Buffalo chicken, BBQ & "loaded potato" pizzas seemed to be best Chili & others -chili was reported to be great, I did not try -I was not impressed by any noodle dish from salads to pasta bar because the pasta was overcooked (not al dente) Desserts -pizza desserts are always a little off, but impressive for selection -soft served ice cream actually made us want hard scooped from the parlor in front of the restaurant Staff -very friendly, but all seemed very young Environment -the utensils needs to be replaced because they are so scratched they no longer look clean -overall the place could heavy cleaning by a pro to strip & wax on floor. read more

This place is great, it's a buffet style if you want. The staff is hard working and friendly. Food was hot and pizzas all ready to go. There are a few non-pizza selections like pasta and the like. We were traveling through and stayed at the hotel with a pool next door. I would recommend this place if you need a quick hot bite. read more

Rolling into Salem around 8:45 on a Friday night doesn't leave much options in terms of finding a place to eat. We saw that Pizza Inn was still open so we stopped by. The waitress was super friendly and sat us immediately and let us know of a great deal - a medium pizza, 2 drinks, 2 unlimited salad bars and a dessert for a mere $14. Now that's a steal! My Dad and I had been out and about all day in Shannon County so we were quite hungry. The salad bar had all the options you could want, which was a great start. The pizza was hot, fresh, with a great crust. When comparing it to other pizza we've had, it was by far one of the better ones. Our dessert was the cinnamon stromboli and boy was it melt in your mouth good. We had both leftover pizza and the stromboli to enjoy the next day. The waitress continued her friendliness and spoke with us throughout our visit. I love when staff are attentive and make you feel like they really wanted you to visit their establishment. read more

This is the best Pizza Inn we have been to and normally I am not a fan of Pizza Inn. This particular location has a salad bar with a ton of fresh items, good soup/chilli, as well as a huge amount of pizza options on the buffet. We never order off the menu, always get the buffet. If you ask them though they will go ahead and start a pizza for you and bring it out on the buffet... which is a nice touch IMHO. Plenty of seating and the atmosphere is actually pretty nice too! Sadly, it's one of the few places to eat out in town. If there were other options, I'd probably choose 'em.

On our way home from a float trip and decided to stop for dinner. This place is a hard hit and miss for CiCi's Pizza. The pizza options were limited, and what was out was sadly stale. The salad bar & dessert were just okay. Would skip over next time and just go to McDonalds. read more

If this place didn't have a Bavarian creme' pizza then I wouldn't ever go there. All the other pizza's are bland.

As hard it may be for many to comprehend.....Pizza Hut thin crust actually USED to be good....very good.....those days are long gone...but Pizza Inn tastes very similar to the old Hut recipe......best chain pizza as far as I'm concerned.... read more

Not a lot of options on the pizza bar, pizza was cold. Iceberg lettuce for the salad bar plain and boring. Unfortunately not a lot of options in Salem for eating out and this was on a Saturday afternoon. read more

My husband and I and our grandchildren went there on Friday evening and it was terrible. There was food on the floor under the tables. The pizzas were cold and the spaghetti sauce was crusted over and old and cold . There was one scoop of spaghetti noodles sitting in warm water. It took the waitress 15 minutes to come to the table to offer to get us drinks after the hostess told us to seat ourselves. My grand children wanted pepperoni pizza but none was made. At 8:15pm the employees started shutting down so we thought it was closing time so we got ready to leave. At the register, I asked what time they closed and she said they decided no one else would be coming in tonight so we are closing. The remaining pizza was placed in a box and carted away. Of course we got charged the full menu price even though the food was nasty and I complained. Oh well, Pizza Hut is down the street. read more

I might be giving Pizza Inn a little more credit than it deserves as far as the pizza world goes but I'm reviewing this as a small town pizza establishment instead of comparing it to a big city pizza boutique type of a thing. The owner knows what he's doing and runs a good business. This is Pizza Inn mind you so if you go to a city, you'll find better pizza more than likely (depending on your taste). The building has a lot of room and is decorated in a fun way (an Andy Griffith show theme). It is a clean place with good prices. I prefer a thicker cut pizza however and it seems as though most of their buffet pizzas are of the thinner variety. Their salad bar is the best in town and one of the better ones you'll find outside of Ruby Tuesday. I have eaten at other Pizza Inns and I like this one, their buffet choices, desserts, etc better than the other ones I've been in. This is probably the best place in Salem to meet up with people, as a group and get an inexpensive, good meal in a good, clean environment.
