The wife and I went here for lunch. She had a bowl of soup and I had the buffalo chicken sandwich. The buffalo chicken sandwich was very good sized. The flavor was on point. It is 7:40 and I am still waiting in the parking lot after having to go in twice. They never even started it. I watched people go inside, sit down, eat, and leave. And I was still in the curbside lot waiting for my food. I saw numerous curbside orders show up, get their food, and leave. Refused refund when i asked after the 1 hour 15 minute mark. Only went here bc I had a gift card. I guess I'll do dine jn with the rest of my card but they'll never see me again after that. It has been over an hour and a half, and I still never got my food. I think I'll just leave, I guess. This is crazy. Mismanaged, anti-consumer, and a time waster. Edit: got my food TWO HOURS into this process. I cannot believe my senses. It's cold. We have eaten here twice this year when visiting Rolla. The staff is always pleasant and the food is pretty good, but a bit expensive. Ok if you like to eat in 60 degree temp inside you will be fine. I love 68 degrees in my home. We were all so cold our noses were running. So outside 92 degrees. We asked waitress to turn off fans or turn up The temp. Not possible. I am usually hot at 72. So food was good but we were so cold could not enjoy. My sister in law had a jacket and was still cold. Had another great meal at Colton's! This is now my go to restaurant for a great steak and seafood. The shrimp trio is awesome with three varieties of shrimp. The salmon and the steaks are grilled to perfection just the way we order. I love the fresh asparagus and the salads are fresh made to order with so many options. Happy hour is great for the half price appetizers from 4-6 during the week and lots of drink specials. Sitting at the bar is also fun to watch sports on the big screens. It's just a fun relaxing atmosphere that we enjoy very much! Great food, great atmosphere and great service! How does it get any better than that?! read more

Always have good food and service. Prices are reasonable and the smoked prime rib is tops. Ate Texas salads with sirloin the last visit and all the ingredients were great. Curbside Disaster at Colton's Rolla September 1, 2025. I placed and paid for an online order scheduled for 5:08 PM. Arrived at 5:09 and called in. After 20 minutes of waiting, I called again. After 45 minutes, I finally asked to speak with the server. Dillon came out and explained he was "waiting on rolls." He never apologized or updated me until I requested to see him, and when the food did arrive it was cold and incomplete (missing salmon sauce and the rolls entirely). He said he had told his manager, Rocky, that covering both tables and curbside wasn't working--but nothing was done. This isn't just a kitchen delay--it's a failure of management and customer service basics. Forty-five minutes in a car with no acknowledgment or apology is unacceptable. To top it off, Colton's website "Contact Us" form doesn't even work ("ERROR for site owner: Invalid key type"), so there's no direct way to report this. The western burger was delivered as a bacon cheese burger: no BBQ sauce, no onion tanglers, the bacon was measly, wrong type of cheese. We ordered drinks, an appetizer and 4 meals. 45 minutes later we finally got our drinks. Our appetizer came out with our food, which came about 25 minutes after our drinks. I ordered a salad with chicken. The chicken was raw. The chef came out and wanted to argue about it. According to him it was only one piece that was mildly undercooked. This is the second time in the past 3 months that my girlfriend and I have been to this location and had a poor experience. The first time we had very slow service from our waitress. Today we went back thinking that they might do better than last time, but it's gotten worse. We experience slow service like taking 20 minutes to get our drinks from the bar and taking another 20 to just process my card. The food was also very disappointing and not made correctly. I ordered their bacon cheeseburger and my girlfriend ordered their country fried steak with smashed potatoes. Her potatoes came out cold and the steak was overcooked. My burger was supposed to be medium well but came out medium rare and gushing blood. After this entire experience I was prepared to give a low tip based off of everything, but once I got my check to sign our waitress hovered over me as I was writing the tip making me feel like the jerk.
