This is in a blink and you'll miss it location. Parking lot is small and awkward. Larger vehicles will have issues parking. Then the dispensary smell will hit you the moment you open the car door and it will make you want to leave. Once you get past all that initially, you may end up having a good meal. Its a small space. Reservations recommended because it will fill up fast. We had a party of 11, knocked down to 7 and they were able to accomodate. Wine menu was priced higher than the norm. Non drink people they have Pepsi products. Food menu wasn't huge but has enough that everyone should find something. Our group got a variety of food items. I ended up with toasted ravioli and a single serve pizza. Pizza was very good, I loved how much meat they put on it, they didnt skimp out. The toasted ravioli was good but nothing special made it stand out. Salads looked good as everyone in the group got one. My family went this Saturday for a surprise 40th birthday and the staff handled everything to perfection! From the appetizers, to the salad, and finally the main course it was 10 out of 10! The food here always has incredible flavors and you cannot find another restaurant near it. Joe is by far the best chef and he's incredibly nice walking out on the floor to check on the customers. After seeing that my husband was ready to leave. I on the other was like we all eat our pound of dirt, we can do this. Haha! Workers (that work in back only) would come out from the back and looking filthy and pants from the knees down were wet. I would say if the owners made the workers wash their hands, wear gloves and look a little more presentable if coming out to where others are eating I would then change my raring. This is the third time I've called to put in a takeout order and was told they were too busy. I was willing to wait for my food, but was not even given the option. The food is good, but not good enough to even try to give them business again. This has been an issue for many of my neighbors as well and they refuse to go there ever again. It's a bit of a drive...and may not look like much but the food is amazing. I ordered the special...a Gorgonzola rigatoni...and savored every bite. It was so good and the serving size was so large I had the second half the next day for lunch and enjoyed it very much. And by the way, l loved the salad too. It was chopped and sweet but I liked it. Imperial is lucky to have this place and based on the crowd that showed up shortly after we did, they know it. Our waitress offered excellent service despite being quite busy. Good Italian bread was brought to table as soon as we sat. Olive oil would have been nice too but we made do with butter. I got the pasta primavera while hubby got carbonara. This place is lovely. In a little out of the way small town shopping center is a family owned Italian restaurant. It's not brand new and a little run down but the food and family atmosphere make up for it. When the owner is cooking your food then takes a break and comes out to greet everyone at their table and make sure they are enjoying the food you know that everything was cooked with love. My food was a huge portion but delicious. The waitress was very nice and didn't mind that we sat for a while talking. Make a trip out here if you haven't, especially if you live in south county. What a disappointment! I reread the reviews after getting home thinking maybe I had mistakenly taken my husband and our friends to the wrong place. Not fancy at all, the restaurant is hidden away in a very rundown strip of Jefferson County businesses. Admittedly, my first mistake was not calling ahead to make reservations for five/ thirty on a Friday night. The hostess first told us we could not get a table until 7:15 but when we pointed out some empty ones, she was kind enough to quickly put us at a table for four. Secondly, we waited at least 20-25 minutes before having to flag down a waitress to serve us and we made sure to order our drinks and entrees at the same time. The atmosphere was very outdated and loud. The house salads were wilted and very heavily dressed. The Marsala pork chops were tasty but a little tough. The pasta tutte mare was good and the 2 orders of pasta primavera quite plain. The flavor improved after asking and adding some Parmesan cheese to it. The bill was reasonable , but the general consensus was we would not be going back. read more

I have eaten at a lot of restaurants on the Hill and TG ranks right up there with the best. The staff is very friendly to go along with the excellent menu. Some of the best soup I and my guests have ever had. The Lasagna, the Chicken Marsala, the steaks and well just about everything on the menu is outstanding. The best thing here is the eggplant parmesan! Probably the best I've had. Crispy eggplant slices that have been perfectly breaded & fried in a nice sweet marinara sauce. I do not like the Caesar salad here. I'm not one to waste food, but I could not finish the salad. It was drenched in this horrible white dressing that didn't taste like caesar at all. It tasted like some kind of weird mayonnaise sauce. The croutons on top were soft & soggy. Decent prices on wine here. The Villa Corti Chianti is a pretty solid choice & the bottle is only $20. Bread is good - standard Italian bread (soft pillowy center with seasame seeds on top). I really wish the owner would not walk around & shake people's hands. I feel rude not shaking his hand, so I feel forced to do it & after a pandemic,it should be common sense not to spread germs by shaking everyone's hand. It is just disgusting. read more

Pretty decent Italian place outside the city with reasonable prices. The bread service was very good. Italian soft bread with sesame seeds. The salad had a decent house dressing but my wife didn't love the caesar dressing. Had a weird bite to it like horse radish or something The chicken trattoria was ok. Chicken was a bit dry and bland and the sauce was a decent gravy flavor. Lots of veggies on top. The asparagus was ok too but I prefer a grilled char flavor. My wife's chicken parm was a little better than my dish. Their chianti wine was awesome. Good price and a very good brand. I worked here many years ago, 2007 through 2012. It warms my heart to know Grace and Joe are still going strong. When I was at this place, it very much felt like a second home and that everyone was family. As any good family does, they try their best to help you through what's going on in your life. However, I had a person in my life who isolated me from everyone and eventually even ruined my relationship with them, as well. I know this may not seem like a restaurant review, but it is. I am just trying to explain when you go to Trattoria Giuseppe's, you are treated like family whether you are staff or customer. Grace would tend bar and could go bartender's smile to "mother's scorn" before you can blink if you were not treating people right (the staff, other patrons, your children, spouse, etc.). As staff members, we would get the scorn for bickering over who's closing.... see family. Joe would try to talk to everyone. He was always happy-go-lucky, and if he were mad, it meant something big! I loved working here. I loved eating here. It was sad when I left this job. It is even more sad because I have never been back there read more

Trattoria Guiseppe is a very good Italian restaurant. Unsightly on the outside and resembling an aged motel, it improves on the inside to a generic, family diner look. Food and service are excellent. In my visit half a dozen lunch specials--starting at $9.95--included a pasta entree with soup or salad and fresh Italian bread. I was intrigued with the homemade featured soup: cream of chicken with artichoke. Wonderfully creamy with chunks of breast meat, its pieces of artichoke complemented the chicken. I could have enjoyed another bowl while waiting for my Pasta Primavera. The pasta was another hit. Peas, tomatoes, mushroom slices, and linguine were bathed in a simple olive oil sauce. Complaints might be petty: the pasta was zesty with pepper, which I liked. Other diners might want that identified on the menu. I had to enter the restaurant through the haze of at least one employee's cigarette smoke just outside the door. And, the owner/chef in his enthusiasm to welcome me and press a handshake--always a nice touch--interrupted the menu conversation the server and I were having. read more

Absolutely fantastic hidden gem in Imperial, MO. The place is located in a run down strip mall and the building could use a remodel, but the service and food... remarkable! Owners will visit tables during the course of your meal and inquire about it, very friendly and done in a manner that is unobtrusive. Excellent selection of Italian and Italian inspired dishes. Bruschetta is excellent. Mussels are great. Tuta Mare is great. Everything was delicious. Multiple visits here have resulted in consistently good experiences and delicious meals.
