This would be a 5 star review if it was not for their online ordering that does not tell you how much toppings are or even if they cost extra when you're under the impression they are apart of you order. So, I did an online order to be delivered. Yes, I was being completely lazy because I live across the street from this place. So it was relatively easy to order but deceptive. What I mean is when you make a choice you are then able to see the toppings you can choose but there is no way to know what the limit is in the price of your choice nor how much anything over your limit costs. Everything I ordered, mozzarella sticks, perfectly cooked, not greasy or over fried delicious marinara sauce to dip them in. A house salad which absolutely surprised me with it's size. It was more then the usual "house" salad that you get in most places. Honeymustard dressing that seemed fresh. Chicken Alfredo. Now I was impressed. The sauce was not overpowering at all and it was not drowning in sauce. Some Alfredo sauces could have a flour taste due to not enough liquid when making the sauce and this was freshly made sauce that for my taste could use a hint more pepper. Lastly was a calzone. Now this was to die for. I compared it to the ones I'd get in Little Italy ​in NYC that's how good it was. So, I will order from them again and I may just trot across the street to do so. Place is always busy and has lots of tables for big and small groups. Monday night is only $7.00 for a large pizza and for some that is leftovers for the next day. Lots of TV's to watch a sports show, baseball, basketball or football. Pizza comes out hot and doesn't take too long. read more

The food was awesome I had a porker Stromboli with ranch and Marinara sauce. The prices are about midlevel and its ambiance is like any other pizza place. It reminds me of the old Pizza Hut I use to go to when I was a kid. They have 2 bars you can sit at and plenty of tables for bigger groups. Family time at the Zavala household. So we finally decided on Pizza Italian, mainly for the beer. Don't get me wrong, the pizza is good, but that may be the extent of it. We walked in, during the football games, wasn't crowded. That was good. So it wasn't loud or rowdy. The restaurant was very warm, like too warm. We got to the counter, first I had to find me a beer, then looked over the menu. I had been craving a roast beef sandwich, my craving continued. I got that sandwich and boy, what a disappointment. The French dipping was lukewarm warm, no flavor. The roast beef was tasteless. The only thing they got right, was that I asked for lightly toasted bread, and that was one point. Maria got the chicken Parmesan, that looked great. She always gets the better dish, one day I'll let her order for me. The portion was good, it is served on some spaghetti. I didn't try it, cause I was trying not to cry over my sandwich,. My son got a pizza and wings. They looked good, but I really wanted a roast beef sandwich and I wanted to make sure I ate mine, before I got anything else. The bar has a decent selection of beer on draft, plus they have a great big cooler, that used to be stock with beer, but it was about a quarter full of bottle and can beers. WARNING, the bathrooms are horrible. Urinals are stained. Pretty nasty. The service was good, just disappointing with the temp of the restaurant and my sandwich. read more

Decided to try a new pizza place for dinner on a Friday evening. Called in the order for take-out. Our order was complete and ready at the time they specified. We got a thin-crust pizza Italiano. The ratio of pepperoni, sausage, black olives, onions and mushrooms was perfect. I would have liked the crust a bit crispier, but it sure did not stop me from eating two slices and having it again on Saturday as left-overs! We also got a couple orders of cheesy garlic bread- wrapped perfectly to retain heat for takeout. We also tried the rosemary and parmesean cheese fries. French fries were tasty with a very nice spicy ketchup. They have a very extensive menu - I'm sure there is truly something for everyone. I was out of town when this was delivered to my grandson and wife. I absolutely love Pizza I Talia and I would not post this if I had a way to send them a photo. They have the best pepperoni pizza anywhere in SA, BUT. My grandson's cheese pizza was excellent as always but I have few words to describe the second pizza. It had the texture and taste of cardboard; the cheese was completely burned and the crust was also scorched and hard. We used to frequent the Monday specials almost weekly. Our last visit was actually yesterday, Tuesday, 2/24/26. While the food is good the actual in house dining is compromised by the constant sewer/grease trap smells that permeate the dining area. For a small lasagna, a salad and a glass of water my bill came up to $17.87. I notice on my bill that I was charged $.56 for a customer surcharge. Why I don't know. It had been quite a while since I have been to pizza Italia. Today did not disappoint. We came in for pizza by the slice, that was not available after 3 PM. That turned out to be a very positive. Factor when we ordered the Monday night special That was very delicious. The chef salads were right on spot, and the pizza was very delicious. I am not a big fan of red sauce, and it proved to be terrific, because it was just enough red sauce to make the pizza very tasty. My husband and I ordered a 14 Italiano pizza it was suppose to have easy sauce , no mushrooms , no onion 1/2 no olives . With EXTRA cheese ! This was at 4:41 pm I called and they said it would he ready in 25 minutes . We get there 30 minutes later and waited for 25 minutes inside the building which was not busy at all !! I am a longtime resident of the area. Pizza Italia has been very consistent in quality, portions and flavor! Family owned businesses seem to attract the "Karen's" of the world. Hence many of the negative comments are more about disagreements than about the meal. Here you will get a great pizza pie, Stromboli, spaghetti, lasagna or the Hero... My family loves the Mama Mia.
