I always forget to check in when we come to San Antonio, but I remembered today. We placed our order then headed to get it. We usually get the Capone but added the Texan this time. Lady at the front was super nice! However, the pizza was extremely disappointing!! Asked for NY style pepperoni, Canadian bacon and black olives! It was like they made the pepperoni pizza then remembered I wanted the other stuff on there and just threw it on top. Wasn't cooked on there or anything! Just fell right off. And like ZERO sauce! First time here. Looking for a new pizza place. We were seated right away. It was a 49 minute wait for the pizza but it was worth the wait. The price is fair. $40-ish for a 16 inch pizza & two glasses of wine. The pizza is flavorful, the crust is crispy but tender in the center. Cheese pizza for sure. Perfect sauce to cheese combination. The noise level was just right even though it was a busy night. The music in the speakers was loud enough to hear it but not so loud that you had to yell over the sound. Excited to try their Chicago Deep Dish. Arrived at restaurant and was told they couldn't make them because the oven was down. Thought they were short staffed because our server was infrequent. Spinach dip was a small portion and came out brown either from being overcooked or under a heat lamp because server was busy. Caprice salad had good mozzarella but tomatoes were old and soggy. I haven't eaten here in a very long time. This neighborhood pizza has history in Stone Oak. It is family run, non chain small business. When I tried to place an order online, it would no allow modifications. So I placed my order over the phone instead. I ordered a small capone pizza with artichokes, kalamata olives instead of regular and bacon. I also ordered a small House salad. Here is my honest review. The staff is very friendly but when I went to get my order there were no other customers inside. The salad was mid at best. Most of my romaine lettuce was below the top half was going brown. They only gave to tomato slices. I was a bit disappointed. The pizza smelled amazing however if someone orders additional toppings, I think you should get more than just one piece of that toppings per pizza slice. I paid extra for the toppings so not sure what happened there. They definitely used to be more generous with the toppings back in the day. However, the pizza was delicious. The flavors were on point and I am excited to eat my leftovers. They make really good pizza. It sets the bar high and ruins your taste for chain pizzas. I am just afraid that this small business will suffer like so many others due to the rising cost of everything. Please support this small business. I've heard many good things about Trilogy pizza so we finally tried it out and ordered a pizza to go. I only live about 12 minutes away but I think so I figured it would be fine but although it looked amazing the crust in the middle was way too soft. There aren't even a lot of toppings but the slices just fell over which was disappointing. The exterior crust was perfect but the middle was just too soft for our liking. The pizza itself was very good, I think eating it fresh out of the oven would be better though. The dining area looks very simple, typical pizza diner look, with large tv's with sports on. We're didn't have any issues placing the order over the phone or picking up, service was quick. Since it's a local pizza shop I'd like to give them another shot but dine in next time to get a better feel for it. All in all, not bad. read more

I cannot believe this place was not packed AND that we've never been here or heard of it. Fantastic pizza and the ingredients were so incredibly fresh. The NY crust was so airy and chewy-amazing. It's a super laid back authentic pizzeria too. Our server was great as well. She brought everything we needed before we could even ask yet she wasn't overbearing at all. It was Italian night tonight! My husband stopped by @trilogypizza and picked up some food to go. Despite the icy and cold conditions, they were open. We had a medium pizza, New York style with pepperoni and mushroom. Yum! Loved the crust! My husband loves salads and got the Caprese Salad. We also shared the Pasta Bolognese. If you're looking for authentic deep dish pizza, do not order from here. Their so-called "deep dish" is a tasteless, doughy joke. It's basically an inch of bland, undercooked bread with a sad smear of sauce and a few cheese sprinkles on top--if you can even call that cheese. The crust had the texture of raw biscuit dough, and the sauce tasted like it came straight out of a can with no seasoning. To add insult to injury, the toppings were sparse and clearly low quality. Our family of 5 (two adults, 3 hard to please young kids) ordered a goat cheese appetizer, medium deep dish sausage, medium New York style cheese, and a glass of wine for less than what we've paid for some fast food restaurants. We were able to get a table right away on a Friday night. I wouldn't call service enthusiastic but I have no complaints. I wasn't expecting my kids to like deep dish and I was very wrong - they devoured it. I am a native Chicagoan and it's no Lou's but it is definitely as close as you are going to get in SATX. It was solid - even more so with a dollop of the goat cheese on top. Who knew goat cheese and marinara went so well together? One of my kids said the NY style pizza was "better than ice cream." We have done takeout twice and dine in once. We usually take out the Chicago Pizza in Quattro Carni in the medium size for a family of 4. The slices are huge! One slice is enough for each adult. When we dined in, we like the idea of self serve soft drinks. You get a cup and you help yourself to the water and fountain drinks near the bar/front area. The service is great! My girls were given dough to play with while we waited for our food. The kid's meals are a great deal at less than $7 each. The kid's meal pizza is a generous size. The kid's meal Alfredo pasta was enough for a 10 year old. Love the portion size overall! Prices are reasonable as well. A Chicago Pizza can cost you around $25. My family of four ordered two kid's meal, an appetizer and a pizza and the total was around $55 which I think was a great deal. Just good New York style pizza. Pretty straight forward, I wouldn't say the best NY pizza in town but good enough. The price is a little higher than where I go, but it's walking distance from my house. They also have Chicago style pizza so that's unique to serve two styles in one restaurant. I'm not a fan of the chicago style but I can see people who like both to join here to have both at the same time. The beer were all in bottles, I don't think there was anything on draft. April 5th was national deep dish pizza day so course my boyfriend and I had to celebrate. We were going to go to our usual place but I wanted to try something new, I had happen to come across Trilogy Pizza on yelp and the photos did the pizza justice. The price for creating your own wasn't too bad either we paid $21 and some change for a medium deep dish with four toppings. Once we got our pizza I couldn't wait to try it and let me just mention that this pizza was one of the best deep dish pizza I have had, it had equal amount of sauce topping cheese of course but the flavor was there I am unsure what sauce was used or how it was made but I can definitely say it was so good. Trilogy has long been a neighborhood favorite. After a whirlwind road trip of 12 hours to-and-from, we were too tired to cook or get in the car again, so we decided to DoorDash some Trilogy goodness. We're not fans of carry out pizza because it's never as good as eating it there. By the time it got to us, it wasn't very hot (which we knew would be the case) but it had great flavor as always. We ordered a pasta alfredo, which we'd never had before. It's made with penne pasta, which gave it a nice bite, but I didn't feel like the sauce tasted homemade and we wouldn't order that again. We also had the CapSal salad for a taste of something "fresh." It was OK and the addition of Canadian bacon was interesting. The pizza we ordered, even though it wasn't very hot when it arrived, was still tasty... and Trilogy pizzas reheat quite well if you have leftovers. DoorDash delivered promptly, as estimated, but the delivery person took the "leave it at my door" instruction too literally and left it on the ground in front of my door even though I have a perfectly good table right beside the door. Not impressed with that decision at all. I know not all delivery drivers are the same, but I would be less inclined to get delivery again for this reason.
