We arrived and seated ourselves. Called orders in, large pizza, two orders of breadsticks, and four drinks. Drinks brought out quickly and breadsticks I think was like 10 minutes minutes. Pizza not so much. We finally asked after waiting 90 minutes and told it would be another 10 minutes. We only saw one poor waitress attending every table in the restaurant. She was doing her best. Several people were not being very nice to her either. She was awesome. As we left we noticed five employees in the back. Several were preparing orders however two were standing around laughing about something. read more

This is by far the worst food I have ever had dining out. The sub literally smelled like an old ashtray when I bit into it. The baked spaghetti we ordered barely had any sauce and when I asked for more sauce, the waitress said she'd have to warm some up because she didn't want to give it to me cold....well how thoughtful!! So finally after about 20 mins, and the spaghetti was cold on the plate, then she brought it in a bowl with no spoon or anything to put it on the spaghetti...and the bowl was so hot you couldn't pick it up to dump the sauce over the spaghetti. So I dumped some spaghetti in the small bowl with the sauce and mixed it around and tasted it, only to find that it was not spaghetti sauce, it was pizza sauce which tasted more like just plain tomato paste. Had a lovely flavor of ashtray also....don't waste your time or money here. read more

Great pizza place! When you're ready to order, you use a phone at your table and a waitress brings it out. They're breadsticks are AMAZING. We had the medium 8 piece meat lovers. Very crispy crust and tons of toppings. Wait staff was friendly and prompt. read more

As always, the Royal Feast is excellent. That being said, last night was probably the worst experience that I have ever had here. We waited almost an hour for our food! When it did come, the breadsticks were cold and tasted akin to cardboard, my wife had to send her food back because it was wrong, and the table behind us was told that their ticket had been lost. I asked for the manager, but he never came over to our table. After this, it will be a good long while before I go back to dine in this place. read more

I've been here a few times. the bread sticks are ok, the pizza is alright. Nothing really special about pizza king. The food quality isn't worth the prices they charge for it. I probably won't eat here again. read more

I started ordering my pizzas from the Pizza King on State Road 3 in New Castle after Top Hat II stopped living up to my expectations as well as the convenience of having a Pizza King pizza delivered. Normally, when you call to place an order, you are greeted with a friendly, knowledgeable voice that asks whether or not you want carryout or delivery. The customer service rep is able to pull up your account based upon your telephone number if they cannot locate it based upon how your first or last names are spelled. The delivery people are courteous and try to make their deliveries within the stated timeframe(s). The pizzas that I have had in the past have fresher ingredients, plenty of toppings (even when ordering only two toppings - hamburger with extra cheese, please), and are always warm even when being delivered. My issue tonight, Friday, February 11, 2022, was initially with the customer service rep, Brett M. When he answered the telephone, he said, "Hello" instead of "Hello, this the Pizza King on State Road 3, how may I help you?" Or "Hello, how may I help you? Do you want carryout or delivery?" Or "Hello, this is Pizza King on State Road 3, is this for carryout or delivery?" I am not holding his greeting against him. My issue is with his lack of enthusiasm, knowledge of how to look up current customers in the system, and not wanting to allow me to voice my concerns with his manager that is currently onsite as well as not indicating to me that he was a "new" employee and having difficulty with the system and "could you provide me with your telephone number on file, since you indicated that you are a current customer and I am having difficulty looking your account up based upon the spelling of your last name." After I looked at my previous receipts, I noticed that my last name was misspelled. I spelled my last name as written on the previous receipt to him. After my experience with him, I wanted to speak with the manager to bring up my concerns with dealing with Brett. I was placed on hold - fine, I understand it's Friday night, they are busy. Once I was transferred to the manager, I was greeted with hostility, incompetence, and unwillingness to listen to the issue at hand. Michael B. indicated that he was the manager on duty tonight. I tried to explain to him that Brett was having difficulty looking me up in the system and my last name needed to be corrected or Brett needs to ask for customer's telephone numbers going forward if answering phones to take orders. I asked Michael if my name had been corrected. (I have a speech impediment and therefore people have a tendency not to understand me well. Therefore, I will spell my last name using "n" as in "Nancy" to emphasize the correct letter to use). He proceeds to completely mess up my name even further. I tried EMPHASIZING my name for him to better understand the spelling. I made the comment "you seem to be incompetent". After that statement, Michael B, became aggressive and belligerent over the phone with me. Then he accused me of calling him a name. I did not use profane language, nor did I call him a bad name. Then he said, "I remember you!!! You're always mean to our delivery drivers". I have no idea where he came up with this statement because I have never had any issues with any of the delivery drivers!!! I always "thank them" and I tip $5.00 every time on orders that are $21.02. That is well over 20%, but not exactly 25% gratuity. I am always courteous to every driver that I have had. I understand that if I call later on Fridays, my delivery may take up to an hour and half to be delivered. I informed him that what he was saying was false and that he needed better customer service skills when dealing with people. He proceeded to hang up the phone. Consequently, I called back and got the information for the Area Manager from Joshua S., so that I could inform him or her of this altercation that Michael B. initiated with me. I do not recommend this Pizza King if you want to deal with a person holding the title of "manager" who is unprofessional, needs anger management courses, and shouldn't be dealing with the general public. Also, Michael B. is a liar. He accused me of something that I have never done. Therefore, would you want a liar having the title of "Manager" at your restaurant? Unfortunately, I would not order a pizza from this location knowing that this individual would be responsible for making my pizza, having customers' credit card information, and being a complete bully towards women!!! I did speak with the Area Manager(s). They stated that they would look into this matter. Consequently, they lost me as a customer due to Michael B's actions tonight!!! read more

Every time I come home I order a large Royal Feast with Dill sauce. Everyone is friendly and the service is right on time.

Waited 1 hour for delivery, and it showed up missing a topping, and only had cheese on about half the pizza. When I spoke to the mgr she had them make a replacement pizza, but I had to drive in to get it (didn't want to wait another hour) and they didn't even apologize for their mistake in the first place. Not great customer service, and way too much hassle to get the $30 pizza I originally ordered. Not worth trying again. read more
