I love the pizza here. The sauce, the cheese, the super crispy, delicious crust....YUM. Half tray is 7 cuts and a whole tray is 14 cuts and you can get with or without onions - we typically order without. I've been eating here for years and still love it every time. The pizza is a little greasy, yes. I believe they spray the bottom of the pizza pan with something before baking to make the crust crispy. I decided to give this place a whirl based on a recommendation about having the best pizza in the area. So I taught I would give pizza them a try to see how good they are. The pizza was in a box with the bottom covered in peanut oil, Surprisingly none of the employees said anything besides veg oil when my wife asked, the menu has no mention of it. I had to call 911 for my 8 year old to go to the hospital. Her face was the size of a giant beach ball. Thank god for her 350.00!epipen. Is it pizza is hard to say, the cheese on it is super thin. It is like they slice it on a deli slicer to about the thickness of a finger nail. It had enough red stuff tasted like sugar, watered down hand crushed canned whole tomatoes and Italian seasoning to slide off when you take a slice out. The bottom was burnt, and it tasted it. Not sure why it would be burnt if they had enough time to watch a 55 inch tv showing a movie to workers you can at least watch a Pizza you keep putting into the two ovens about 4 times. Had to end up getting Wendys cause the other 2 kids and wife would not touch the fealty pie the 5 year old called it as he watched his sisters face puff up and sauce oozed off the cut he took out of the box. Guess we will have to stick to round pizza that they can eat and does not attack them. I have it one star because it was nasty, messy, and proved deadly to my 8 year old. If you like it more power too you, but the price for that small cut is not worth it. It is worth 1.30 a cut at best not almost 2.00 which is about what we pay for a slice of round mall pizza which is 3 times the size and has cheese on it. read more

Very nice and attentive waitstaff but the tray of Sicilian was sooo greasy and sloppy to eat. I was so disappointed. I know you need a bit of oil but this was overkill. Enjoyed some Pizza L'oven for the first time in four years, and it was fantastic to see that during that span nothing about the pizza had changed. The thick, sweet Sicilian (with onions of course) is still among the best you'll find in this area. The menu as well has maintained its local friendliness, with 14-cut trays priced at $17.40 and specialty 16-inch pies starting at $10.75. Also, all the subs and sams are less than $8. And oh by the way, Mondays are wing night, where you can slam a dozen for $6.50. And a dozen of these is a LOT, as they are big both in size and flavor. Definitely my favorite in the area. read more

The wait time here is average, the parking lot can be a little crowded as it picks up but I've never had to wait long for a spot, the food quality is very consistent, and all of the staff is friendly. I've been eating here for 3 decades. Whenever I go back to PA, Pizza L'Oven is a must. While the pizza may be inconsistent at times, it's still delicious. The wings are usually on point, too. In fact, this year, will be the 30th anniversary of when I had my first chicken wing, and it was at Pizza L'Oven where my love affair with wings started. Don't get it as often as I would like when visiting other family in the area, because my Dad inexplicably prefers Grotto and we usually go along with him because he lives in Florida and can't otherwise get his Grotto fix. I've been eating this pizza my whole life pretty inconsistently - yet it's one of those must-stops if you're in the area. I would actually give it a 3 if it weren't for that scrumptiously delicious oily and crispy crust that I have yet to find anywhere else. I agree that this is an acquired taste for the style of pizza it is - some people rave about it and others don't get the hype. I've never had the round - order the Sicilian if you wanna see what the place is known for. If you like a crispy, crunchy crust and TONS of cheese, then yes, I would recommend it. However, the sauce actually leaves little to be desired (sort of watery in consistency and very sweet), but I just can't enough of that crust. If a single element of a dish is good enough to overcome the rest of the meal's shortcomings, it's worth mentioning and trying. I will say that the full tray for $20 is pretty pricey for pizza, but I feel with the thick crust and layers of cheese, it makes it totally filling and worth it. Order 1/2 plain and 1/2 with the raw white onions - there's something about the onion that brings the whole thing together. As for the rest of the meal, I'll break it down. The decor hasn't been updated since like '93, with mauve booths and mirrors and fake plants and faux-gold plating everywhere you look. The plastic plates are glorified school lunch/camp mess trays, but the pitchers of soda invoke pizza parties from days of yore, so that's always a nice touch. The "edible salad bowl" is tasty, but more like "edible broken shards on a plate upon which we place a messy AF mound of salad you will struggle to eat." I ordered the taco salad for whatever reason and, in keeping with the very laidback atmosphere, was provided with pre-packaged sour cream and taco sauce on the side. With that said, the salad was actually very tasty when it all came together, despite being a royal, uncut mess. My cousin ordered the buffalo chicken boneless bites to start and they were very tasty (also served with pre-packaged blue cheese). Presentation leaves nothing to be desired - just slosh on a plate. But once you sink your teeth into that crust, none of that matters anymore. For 4 adults and a kid, our bill was legit only like $44, which ain't bad at all. For a quick, easy family style establishment with decent food, it's worth it if you're in the area, but be forewarned: the place packs up FAST and there will be a wait, so come early. read more

Waitress finally came over after 10 mins because she was up by the food window eating in between taking people's orders. She was an absolute snob. Decided to finally try this place after a couple years of living nearby. After what I had heard I had high expectations and sadly was not impressed. I ordered a "full" sicilian with onion, olives, pepperoni, and mushrooms. If you like sicilian pizza then do not stop here. The pizza was extremely greasy to the point where I could not taste the sauce, cheese, or toppings.
