Welcome to the Friday night pizza review! Tonight's stop is Cafe Apizza, known for their specialty pizzas. Sure, you can grab a plain or cheese pie, but this Italian pizzeria takes it up a notch. I went for the Italian meat lovers pie, stacked high with sausage, pepperoni, and more. One thing I noticed--every time a table was cleared, it was filled again right away, a clear sign this place is loved. In summer, they have outdoor seating, as shown at the start of the video. My server was warm, professional, and welcoming, which is something I really appreciate. The pizza was crisp, piled with toppings, and served piping hot. I highly recommend checking them out. Very good thin-crust, well-done pizza! Speedy pizza makers too; I rarely wait longer than 15-20 minutes for pickup.

My wife and I tried Cape Apizza for the first time this evening. We ordered the tomato mozzarella pie and the craft diet root beer. It was AWESOME! Fresh tomato sauce, and a wonderful thin crust. No grease here, just a delicious mix of fresh ingredients. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating. We also had a chat with one of the owners, and the pride he has for his product was evident. We'll continue to return and we promised to pass the word. Please give it a shot. I got take out so I'll base the review on that. Access ok,parking very limited. Price a little high for the product and portion (purchased a large and small,small had one topping) . The pizza is ok but nothing special. It is better than some and the integration of parm. cheese gives it some extra flavor. The sauce is OK but nothing really pops out. The dough itself is pretty good and not the tasteless stuff you get with alot the pizza places around here. I still believe for thin crust pizza the dough company is the superior product. Also I've had pizza in New haven and this isn't it. read more

Went with a group of friends. A nice BYOB establishment with indoor and outdoor seating. We shared salads and pizza. The pizza dining in was great. The pizza I ordered to go was not a good even though they were the same ones we had dining it. So there is an issue with consistency. The classic mozzarella and tomato pie was amazing dining in and then looked totally different for my to go order and was way saltier due to having more cheese on the to go order. I would dine here again, but not order to go. Our server was super friendly and attentive. I hope she's my server again the next time I visit. The prices are slightly higher than other local pizza places and the parking can be an issue. But the prices are fine since you save by being able to bring your own alcoholic beverages. read more

ATTENTION OWNER. It's very disheartening that I have to leave a bad review but this needs to be addressed. For my mother's 61st birthday she wanted to try out this establishment. We had reservations for 545. We had a coupon for two large pizzas, large salad and two desserts for four people. we put in our order for 6 o'clock. It took a little while to get our salad, but we understood because of the rush at the door. when the salad arrived we were given no utensils and no plates (I noticed this issue with a couple other tables while we were there ) typically, you'll see your server promptly after getting your apps to order your main meal. after waiting for a period of time, I decided to go into the restaurant and grab plates and silverware for my family. After eating the salad we put in our order.two large anything pizzas, one pizza was wrong. We did not order the mozz pizza. We ordered a Margherita pizza and a buffalo chicken pizza. our server came out and gave us paper plates and reminded my mother happy birthday . (With some attitude) Time went by and we were patient. We watched several families arrive after us being served food. Upsetting since it's a pretty basic order. We grabbed another waitress attention about getting an update on our food. She immediately brought to our attention the description of this girl to clarify our waitress. (if body language could speak. she knew this girl was a problem.) Our food didn't arrive at our table until 7:18 PM. But because it took an hour and 18 minutes just to get two pizzas I told my family it's not worth it. Let's just eat the food. It might take another hour until we get the right one . After eating our meal, we waited to get our order for desserts. Once again, I stood up and was about to make my way to the counter. Addison arrived at the same time and asked how everything was going. Rightfully so my mom expressed her displeasure with the service and how one pizza was not the one we ordered. The girl looked at her notepad to check her notes. I don't care what you wrote down on a notepad. I know what we ordered. then she says was the food good ? What??? we just requested the dessert to go. She arrived back at the table and just said cash or card. I told the girl I would want to pay inside. She gave attitude and said gladly and stormed off. I didn't want to waste any more time waiting around just to get a receipt. We were extremely embarrassed, and everyone around us was watching us . I went inside and paid the full price. If any of this is questionable, check the cameras you have that we're outside. It's all right there for you to see. I do not make scenes in restaurants or out in public as someone who has worked in the food industry. I understand how difficult it can be, but this is extremely unprofessional, and this employee needs to be addressed. I can't express this enough about Addison and her lack of professionalism and hospitality. If you can't be nice to people DO NOT work where you have to speak to people. You never know who can walk through your doors and the significance that they can bring to a business. It's not the owners fault, which is why I decided to pay full price . This girl needs to be fired immediately. We will never go back and I will make sure everyone knows about this terrible experience. Get better! read more

We were visiting Northeast Pennsylvania. We specifically drove south on US 11 from Scranton down to Wilkes-Barre looking for if you local pizza places to taste test. I am a sucker for a good New Haven pie, and was very pleased to see this place. They were super polite on the phone when I placed a relatively specialty order, they were really nice when I went to pick them up, and then I put the pizza in my car for a 6 Hour Dr. The pizza crisp up real nice in my oven, and it was fabulous. Having worked in New Haven on and off for about 3 years, I looked forward to a having a New Haven type pizza restaurant in NEPA. My first visit was nearly forgettable and it was our own fault for dropping by the first week they were open. Way too busy and both pizzas were beyond "charred". Stopped back last week and the experience was a 100% turnaround. The growing pains are over and we had 2 awesome pizzas in a true New Haven style. We ordered the Fresh Tomato Basil and a friend who visited a couple weeks previously, convinced me to try the White Clam pie. Both were prepared perfectly and I was kind of shocked at how good the White Clam pizza was! Delicious! Glad I gave it a try. Service was so much improved and we loved the fact that we had a table on the patio and were able to bring a 6 pack of good beer to enjoy with our meal. Definitely worth a visit! read more
