This is my favorite pizza hands-down I will make the 35 minute drive just to taste this pizza in my mouth I love it here so much. I got a large pie Wednesday evening. I asked for light sauce because for some reason the owner always puts too much on. We couldn't even pick our up. It was so saucy. I went inside to pick up my pizza and watch the 1 employee stick her fingers in her mouth and then proceed to make the pizza. She had food in a drawer and did not wash her hands and continue to touch someone's pizza with dirty hands. My husband mentioned the pizza was burnt and when I mentioned it, I'm assuming the owner who stands in the front with the bald head, picked it up with his not washed and said it was not . They charged me to use my credit card and never told me about it and while I was waiting for my pizza,. I the restroom which smelt lik pot and you can clearly tell the staff on something. Moved to Scranton last year and this has been on my list of places to try. Finally got around to it Saturday evening after hearing of the reopening. They were about to stop taking orders, but accepted ours after hearing we were transplants who had never tried it. They have a great variety of sizes and toppings. We got a chicken wing pizza as well as a half plain/half pepperoni with sweet sauce. I thought the chicken wing was excellent and my boyfriend loved the sweet sauce. Bacon and garlic with sweet sauce is fantastic. Perfect balance between sweet and salty and Gerry's does not skimp on the toppings. When you order toppings, your pie is topped with them. Service is always friendly. I would definitely call ahead and set a time slot to pick up your pizza. They are so busy but that's because they're so good!!! Parking in front not so big but there is also parking in back and they have a drive up window which Id encourage to use for pick up as they have dine in area and that is why parking may be limited. New to the area and decided to try a new pizza place! We've been intrigued by the "sweet sauce" trend in NEPA, so we got half sweet sauce and half regular sauce. To someone not used to the sweet sauce it is VERY sweet but yummy. The regular sauce was even sweeter than other sweet sauces I've had. I was traveling for work this past weekend with some colorful companions and we needed to find a spot for dinner. I saw various reviews on this place and decided it was worth a shot. We arrive at 5pm on a Saturday evening. The restaurant itself was small, with seating for 20 people at four tables. There were a group of 5 teens in there, a middle aged couple was seated as well. An elderly couple walked in and sat down while we were ordering and we nabbed the last table for our group. The host behind the counter welcomed us warmly as we stared at the options. They have twenty seven, yes -27- toppings you can order. Most intriguing - chicken wings. I had read about their sweet sauce on other reviews so I went with pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, and sweet sauce. We sat down after selecting our sodas from the wide selection in twin fridges on the side of the room. an antique bubble gum machine/baseball game combo had us all wishing there were gumballs in it, but alas, it was there just for show. The host swung by, dropping of plates and extra napkins. Chatted with us a bit as we were obviously from out of town and then headed back to the busy kitchen area. The kitchen area consisted of two pizza overs in plain view right behind the counter, the counter with the register and phone, the drive up window (more on that), two younger girls running the register, and a younger man actually making the pies and cooking them. This was in a space the size of a hallway, jet there was no jostling, no collisions, it was like watching a well executed dance. Everyone knew what to do and where to be. On to the food. Our pizzas arrived piping hot from the oven. piping hot, the pies were the perfect crust, thick enough to hold the toppings without folding, crispy, and toppings almost right to the edge. Mine had the perfect blend of toppings and was nicely balanced with the sweet sauce. It was delicious, and it made me sad that there was no pizza this good anywhere near my house. My companions agreed that their pies were also delicious. The pork sausage one had ordered was tasty and not to greasy. The 'regular sauce' was traditional and rich, but i will always get the sweet sauce, it was simply divine. Pricing for three medium pies loaded with toppings and one small pie, plus soda, came to under $40. Frankly a steal as the pies were quite filling so we all had take out boxes with us. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and I know what i'm getting already: Small pepperoni pie, sweet sauce, and fresh garlic. Mmmmm. read more

What can I say about Jerry's Pizza? Well to start, if you've ever had it or any of the other Ricci family pizzas business, you're missing out on something. I prefer Jerry's over the others Because I grew up on it.I feel his crust is a little crispier for my liking. You should try his buffalo wing pizza. It's probably not a staple that he is known for. But if you order a chicken wing pizza with the blue cheese baked in with sweet sauce they'll probably know you heard it from me. Even though I have a sweet tooth and love candies and desserts, I wasn't too fond of the sweet sauce pizza. Hands down the best pizza in town!!! This little family owned restaurant is bustling with customers and now I know why!! The cashier who took my order was patient to explain the popular items and even gave me some suggestions. (Which i did follow!) They even had a cute drive through window where you can drive up, order and return later on for pickup! The whole team consisted of youngsters constructing these delicious pizzas in an organized manner. I ordered a medium pepperoni pizza with sweet sauce for about $8 (so cheap!!) which had 8 slices.That sweet sauce is amazing!! Definitely a must try!!
