Tried Korean pizza for the first time. It tasted pretty good. I love how they have a huge variety of flavours to choose from, including adding toppings into the crust. However it is a bit more pricey than others. We also enjoyed the grilled chicken.

Super delicious and cheesy pizza! The only downfall is that you can't customize the pizza any other way except the way it is on the menu. It didn't take long for us to receive our pizza. We are inside and there was plenty of space. Definitely recommend this place! It's different from your average pizza but good! a must try.

Pizza Maru has the cheesiest pizza in the city. If you're looking for a strong cheese pull for you instagram/TikTok vids this is the place for you. We got the bulgogi beef pizza (10 inch) which I would rate 4 stars And the potato pizza (10 inch) which I would rate 5 stars since it was soooo cheesy. I preferred the potato pizza because it was heftier with more toppings than the other one. It really satisfied my cravings for cheese. The pizza is both cheesy and a bit sweet which was very enjoyable. The ambience and service of the restaurant was very good. Every time I've come here the service and staff have been very nice and kind. (Bonus tip: leave them a google review and you can get a free pop drink). Not pictured is the jalamayo dip sauce I got as well which was very delicious (and although not spicy it was still jalapeño flavoured). Keep a look on their instagram for their deals and specials because they post about them pretty often, and pizza Maru is quite expensive so the deals are very appreciated.

I ordered bulgogi pizza. Actually, two of them, because there was half price promo. Placed order over phone and took a bit too long to get there. The promo was for takeout only, but I decided to take some photos and a bite before heading out. Very flavourful, and not very greasy at all. I don't enjoy greasy pizza, so this was fantastic. The dough is also quite different, and you can see on the walls that it's a green tea based dough consisting of 10 different grains. Definitely sounds unique. Some issues I had with this store: 1. Pizzas were prepared already by the time I arrived, and just sitting on the counter. Seemingly no attempt to keep it warm, and as expected, it was already cooled down. Feels like there could be an improvement here. 2. Another thing that was quite noticeable was the consistency of the toppings: one pizza appeared to have a lot more toppings than the other. Raised this with the cashier, and apparently what you get really depends on who's preparing it. I guess I got the generous chef? Good pizza overall. At least, in the category of "healthier" pizza I suppose.

Pizza was delicious! Dough and toppings were cery unique and tasty. At this location, Pizza Maru was attached to a Katsuya which gave us an option to order Katsu as well. Servers were attentive and service was fast.

-[MARU FIVE] $29 This is a 13" pizza with five sections on it: -beef ribs -corn -bacon and potato chunks -pepperoni -spicy chicken breast The base of the pizza appears to be tomato, and is topped with cheese, and the aforementioned toppinga. The pizza is pretty large, and I will say the toppings make every small slice pretty filling. The reason I am taking a star off is becauss the potato chunks didn't seem to be cooked all the way through :( Definitely something to try! I wish their locations had more room because I'd love to try their food fresh - I got this delivered which was still yummy

I ate here for dine in so when I had my pizza, it was piping hot. Piping hot, the cheese pull on these pizzas are unreal! Generous with the toppings. Matcha pizza dough base is delicious. I would encourage you to get the sweet potato edge upgrade!

I honestly just needed something to tie me over as I had a long drive ahead of me. This veggie pasta hit the spot and I loved how piping hot it came, and yaaa, corn belongs on pizza!! I would have given it a 5/5 but I don't think it hit quite the same the next day. Wouldn't mind to try the other flavours if I am in the area again, with meat!!

Super unique pizza toppings but quite pricey for a small pie. Got their shrimpbul, which contains shrimp and beef bulgogi. The pizza was thin crusted but generously topped. Although it's pricey, I do want to try other toppings and their sweet potato crust.

Hyped up about the grand opening 50% off special in the weeks coming and anticipating huge lines but arriving 15mins early the line wasn't too bad. Maybe 10 people in front. I've never tried Korean pizza but I hear Pizzamaru is one of the best. For me it was too sweet. The thinner (not thin crust) crust was good and the dough to substance ratio was perfect. The green tea crust itself was nice and light but nothing special. The flavor reminded me of whole wheat dough. The pizza was topped with sweet bulgogi, cheese, yellow and green peppers, and onions. Another thing, I did see my order sitting on the counter done and ready for me for a good 5mins while all the servers and cashier was just standing around. They looked at the number receipt twice and still didn't bring it to me. Not sure what they were waiting for, maybe to have people wait so it looks like there's a line. But my pizza was warm.. ish by the time I ate it. I'd come back for the 50% off ($12) but not regular price. I do think when the restaurant is fully running with fried chicken and beer on tap, it'll be a decent place to hang out.

September 14, 2023 - GOLD EDGE CRUST!! GET IT! My friend ordered: Holy Honey Sweet Potato Pepperoni I ordered: both with GOLD EDGE CRUST Garlic Butter Chicken Holy Honey Sweet Potato The staff were friendly and the service was good. The pizza were yummy. I prefer the GOLD EDGE CRUST, it's sweet and savoury. My mom really liked the pizzas.

    The Seafood Bay
    Amy W.

We came around 4:15pm this afternoon for a super late lunch take out. Only waited about 15-20 minutes. I am a seafood lover so I ordered the Seafood Bay 13' and added the golden edge where there is sweet potato mousse inside. The sweet ranch sauce was a little too sweet to my liking. The shrimp was a good size, the only thing is I didn't see potato as an ingredient on the menu for the Seafood Bay but I tasted quite a number of small chucks of potatoes. I asked about the dine in and it is not available yet. Cash only for now. Overall, different in terms of the toppings and edge for customers to choose from.

Pizza Maru's unique Korean-inspired takes on pizza incorporate lots of pineapple as well as other interesting ingredients, so we had to check it out. Be warned, if you're a pizza purist, don't go here. We dined in as a group of 3 and each 3 10" pizzas to share. The wait time was longer than your average pizza joint (40-60 minutes) and at the time of this review, the AC wasn't working so it was very stuffy inside. We got the: 1) holy honey sweet potato, 2) Korean bulgogi, and 3) AAA Smokey steak pizzas. The cheese they use for these pizzas was really tasty and springy. We found 1) to be lacking in flavour, the bulgogi in 2) to be a bit dry, and 3) was our favourite. There were plenty of steak chunks, and they were all tasty and succulent. I'd get 3) again for takeout. Definitely worth checking Pizza Maru out for the novelty.

There were some seating outside but it was only the one table for two people. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The only downfall was that they ran out of meat sauce so the lasagna was out of the question but they made up for it in the pizza flavours. The menu is pretty straightforward; they offer multiple types of pizza ranging from classic meat lovers to unique ones like smoked salmon or tandoori chicken. I ended up ordering the four cheese because I was in a cheesy mood. The pizza was amazing. The crust had a nice puff up but was not so crunch that it would cut the roof of your mouth. The sauce-to-dough ratio was perfect, and neither ingredient overpowered the other. The cheeses they used (Ricotta, Feta, Bocconcini and cream cheese) didn't clash with each other, and it just seemed to be a slice of cheesy goodness with every bite. The pizza was not greasy, so no mountain of napkins was needed. A must-try if your into pizza and like my nannu says in Sicilian "Veni e pigghiati 'u divertimentu" (Come and enjoy it already).

We probably made a mistake when ordering 2 large half and half pizzas as this turned out to be a very pricey pizza dinner (over $80!!) but that's not the restaurant's fault. We'll just be more mindful next time. The pizzas were good and I loved the freshness of the toppings. Unfortunately, I did not love their crust as it was too chewy for my liking. The chicken wings we got was pretty heavily breaded which is also not my favorite way to eat them. We may come back to try their more adventurous offerings.

We got the vodka, cacio E pepe, and their capicola & pineapple slices. All three slices had such an amazing crust. It was thin and crispy with the perfect amount of char and a nice chew to it. The Vodka sauce was so rich, creamy and velvety. It was my favorite slice and I can see why it is their most popular as well. The cacio e pepe had a sharp, savory, and creamy cheese flavor. It was great as well. The one we didn't like as much was their Pineapple. I mean the crust was still great but there was like no pineapples lol. Is it the best pizza in Toronto ? Honestly I don't know but it definitely isn't worth the line up to me. It is great pizza though but I'm not sure if I would ever come back cause of long lines and I don't live around the area.
