It's really a shame! I like this place. Tonight I ordered my usual Pepperoni Perfection pizza for pick up. Was told 20 minutes. When I get there they are just making my pizza. Apparently, the delivery driver took my pizza with a delivery order to someone's house and I had to wait for another pizza to be made. I was given a 10% coupon discount. While I'm waiting one of the delivery drivers pulls his mask down, licks his bare fingers to grab a piece of deli liner paper to put in a to go box under someone's cooked food. He wasn't wearing gloves. No one working there was using the mandated PPE. Neither of the cooks had masks or gloves on when I got there. The man who licked his fingers didn't even stop & wash his hands once I mentioned it! He even tried to argue with me & deny licking his fingers instead of apologizing & then immediately washing his hands. The food in the box with the contaminated deli paper liner was packed up to be delivered to an unsuspecting customer. Then, as a bonus when I got to where I was going to join my family for dinner 30 minutes late, I open the box & half the cheese & toppings had slid off the pizza into the corner of the box! Came here last night with a friend for the first time and the pizza was incredible. I'm not a big fan of barbecue pizza but I got their bbq chicken and it was truly perfect, just the right amount of barbecue sauce with no overbearing flavors. It all came together properly. The best pizza and the best service. We have ordered from here almost every week for the past 6 months and I look forward to to it each time. Every combination out of the specialty Piez we have tried has been great, and all the ingredients taste fresh. Even the a basic pie with 1-2 toppings is super flavorful and just better than other places I've had it. They are generous with toppings unlike most pizza places I've tried. We always get the hand tossed crust but both kinds taste awesome and have a good texture to them. Tonight we got half extra pineapple/half salami & onion! Delivery quoted for 40 minutes took 30 min tonight. Thumbs up! We have also tried their salads and wings and both exceeded my expectations - I've only had the grilled chicken Caesar salad, but when I think about getting a Caesar salad somewhere, it's here I want to get it from. It was that good. We order their wings and get a few of the signature sauces on the side each time - I love the sweet Asian and the chalula butter sauces (heaven); my boyfriend favors the garlic Parmesan. I haven't tried any of their heros yet but he has had their turkey supreme sub- I'll be trying that next! The store hours are fantastic, I don't know of ANY other place that is open until 2am weeknights (3am weekends) that has this quality of food or service. I want to order from here at all times of the day, but the late night hours are the cherry on top for me because I work nights (restaurant industry also) and usually get home after midnight when nothing else of quality is open. Speaking of service, the customer service here is outstanding (and being someone who works in the biz, I tend to be a harsh critic). There have been a couple times in the past where we received the wrong type of crust (which wasn't even a real problem because both kinds are great anyways) and once where delivery took longer than expected, however on both occasions they went out of their way to make it right. Nice Piez Hidden Gem. At First glance looks like a lot of hype from outside With lights and bright colors. But they truly back it up with their food. They menu is super extensive and they close super late. Doesn't get better in Deerfield beach for late night munching. The owners and employees are great, looks fairly clean too. Let me start by saying that I was hesitant to place an order at 1 am on a Monday morning and should've listened to my instincts. It all started when placing the order and had to correct the gentleman on the other end because he simply wasn't listening to the specifics of my order. He did repeat it back to me so for a moment I thought all was good. Upon arrival we weren't greeted, not even by eye contact, for a solid 3 minutes and if they claim to had been busy, I call their bluff. There were 4 staff working behind the counter and they had one table in the store front. As they were finishing up, or grabbing my order from the back, one staff member had enough time to chit chat with my friend regarding job opportunities but that was all a cover for what I was about to find out. My philly cheesecake was missing half of the ingredients, the mozzarella sticks weren't cooked thoroughly, they completely omitted the tiramisu, I ordered a calzone but was given a Stromboli, and the food was cold all together. Listen, I work in the restaurant industry so I completely understand that things happen sometimes, however, when a guest spends $81 and there are multiple people working to check the status or an order, this many mishaps are simply inexcusable. I did call to inform them of the issues I had and spoke with Ivan. He apologized and stated that if I decided to ever come back to Pizza Piez then he had written my name and number down so I'd be eligible to receive an entree and dessert. Well Ivan, I don't plan on coming back in and in all fairness was just jipped on my hard earned money so I would like a refund. Service was the most incompetent I have ever experienced. Where do I begin? The lady taking our order interrupted us mid order to take a call so the gentleman behind her proceeded to cook our slices. My moms was in the Oven while they served mine. Ten minutes goes by no drinks my mom still has not been served her food. You can tell a lot about a pizza place by some tell tale things, but when you go to a pizza place, you need to always have a slice of plain. They also have a pepperoni with pesto and ricotta cheese which is a complex and satisfying slice of heaven. Never had anything other than pizza here. We drive all the way from Coral Springs to See Jonah and get good pizza. We got a large pizza with spinach and eggplant and a cannoli. The pizza was d i v i n e. I'm usually pretty good at controlling myself. I had 3 whole slices and I could have eaten the whole pie. The eggplant was perfectly fried, and sauce and dough was absolutely delicious. I could have just eaten a whole pound of pizza crust. No joke. The cannoli was just OK. For over $4, I don't think it was worth it. My only gripe is the price is a tad bit exuberant. But you are paying for quality.
