Its been a while since I've been in here and the burgers are just as good as I remembered. Had a nice quick lunch here. Don't sleep on this family run place that's also a cool little sports bar. FSU fans...this is your place. Seminole banners line the walls and Smashburgers are only $7 during all FSU football games. The menu offers more than just burgers. Wings, nachos, salads, sandwiches and don't forget the fries. Salt and pepper fries, tator tos or sweet potato fries all good choices. Went in for a late lunch on a Sunday. The vibe was awkward. There was a guy behind the bar that seemed to be the manager, and instead of acknowledging us in any way, he would turn to a server and bark an order at them to do whatever he thought we wanted. I hadn't been to Tucker Dukes in about 3-4 years and I remembered why. All of their burgers are just piled with excessive amounts of somewhat random ingredients and globs of whatever version of mayonnaise that particular burger has on it. Total disaster tonight. Went in a little before 6pm on a Tuesday - only one other table seated. Took a long time for our 2 burgers. The "heat smash" came out with arugula on it, which is not mentioned on the menu. But worse, it wasn't hot at all, the patties were almost nonexistent, there was absolutely no heat, and the bun was totally dry and crumbly. We talked to the server about how this didn't seem to be the same burger and she said the menu had wrong information. Speaking of the menu - it's always been bad but it's somehow even worse now. My wife took me to lunch here for something different to help get my blood flowing as I was half asleep all morning. The positive side was that the burger components were good. The rest: The weight staff declined to add additional greens to a burger by saying "It already comes with our mix" and were then dismissive. When asked about the lack of vinegar on the dressing for the coleslaw we were informed that "Coleslaw is really just a garnish" then they turned away- obviously ignorant of food traditions. The fry oil needs filtered badly as flecks of scorched char/ash (initialy [and wrongly] thought to be pepper) were over the french fries. I decided on the King Louis half pound patty, topped with Havarti cheese, homemade French onions, shaved ribeye topped with more cheese, crispy onions, baby arugula, garlic aïoli, bun has cheese melted on the top and bottom, and a side of Au Jus all for just $17.67, but it's ala carte so fries are extra. After a good ten minutes, this beast burger was set in front of me and immediately noticed the oddly soft bun, which they special order from Militello's Italian Bakery. This added touch blasted this big juicy burger to a 5/5 rating. The bathroom was clean and had industrial themed cement flooring and aluminum textured walls. Very intrigued by the two Purell hand dispensors and the posted Bathroom Rules. I hadn't been here in at least 2 years, but a recent trip to the Ren Fest with friends had me in the area so it seemed a perfect spot for dinner. The interior seems the same. Comfortable yet semi industrial looking decor. The menu is gone, replaced with an impersonal QR code on the tables. Likewise the menu itself has changed with several of my favorite items gone. The service was on point. After a day at the ren-fest we were only drinking water but our glasses never had to wait long for a refill. The lovely Spensyr got a flatbread that she really liked, while the rest of us got burgers, and all of us thought we chose best. Just awful. The only thing that saved this place from being zero stars was the Gran Dada burger which was great. Everything else was mediocre to terrible, including service. I literally just left this place after going to Ren Fest with the family today. My daughter ordered a kids slider burgers (overcooked), my wife the Gran Dada burger, my other daughter the Birria grilled cheese, and me the Goldsworthy grilled chicken sandwich. We also ordered an appetizer of fish dip and at the recommendation of the waitress, sides of tots. The gran dada and kids sliders were brought out first. After the meals arrived, she brought out the the "fish dip". The waitress brought out a full trey, and in the middle there was no fish dip. Just a giant bowl of pickles and onions. I pointed out to the waitress that there was no fish in this "fish dip". She said she would talk to the kitchen. She next came back out with the Birria grilled cheese, and the wrong version of my chicken sandwich (mine was supposed to be grilled). After everybody's food arrived (except mine bc they screwed up th order), she finally brought the correct fish dip. It was terrible. It tasted like bread crumbs and milk, not like fish dip, except it was SUPER oily, which was not appetizing. We didn't eat more than one bite each, all of us quickly deciding it was not the fish dip we are used to, even from Publix. My daughter's Birria Grilled cheese also wasn't good. I can't explain why. It just tasted bad and incredibly oily. She always eats her food everywhere we go, and she ate only two bites of this, asking to get some cereal after we got home. I took a bite of hers and agreed to let her not eat the food. It tasted bad. My chicken sandwich - ordered grilled - came out fried. I sent it back bc that was not what I ordered. After everybody's food was just about done, my chicken finally came out. It was dry. It Needed more ranch. It was not a very good sandwich. We all got Tots with our sandwiches, which frankly, were overcooked, and tasted slightly worse than the ones you used to get in your school lunch cafeteria. The waitress sold them as "the thing" to get. I'm curious if she still thought that when they came out looking dark brown from being overfried. With all the screw ups - the fish dip, the chicken sandwich, the terrible grilled cheese, the burnt tots - not a single manager or owner came by our table. This was what actually left me so pissed. I saw what looked like a manager or owner come out about halfway through our meal, and would have gladly told him of the awful experience we were having...I wasn't going to dump it on the high school aged waitress (who tried to show some compassion and gave me half off my terrible chicken sandwich) who was tending to us and who kept telling us it was the kitchen screwing up. For a family of 4, including one soda, one lemonade, and one beer, along with the food above, it was over $106 (before discount), and over 120 after tip. Based on the price, the fact that only one of the six things we ordered were actually worth eating, and based on the bad customer service, I would not come back here ever again. read more

I understand they don't alter that burger but to make it a plant based patty doesn't seem like altering the burger. Went to Tucker Duke's today with my sister and my son for lunch to meet up with my other son and grandson. My son J, is a vegetarian and my other son S is not. Both boys ordered the same burger, one veggie patty and the other beef patty. The order came out and J asked, is this the veggie patty, and the server was confident the kitchen advised her it was. S was off washing his hands and J took 2 bites and said "this is meat not veggie". S came back and confirmed J, the vegetarian had a couple bites of the beef burger. We told the server and she said she would send the manager over. this was a very big error on the restaurants part. No, J is not going to die from 2 bites of a beef burger but he had not eaten meat in over 8 years and that is his choice and needs to be respected. S went to speak to the manager but was told she was busy. she clearly was not, we saw her not being busy and after quite a while came to apologize. it was really upsetting, as anyone who is a vegetarian could imagine. on the plus side we had a pretzel with cheese sauce as an appetizer which was good S ordered the ribs appetizer which he said was amazing. my grandson ordered mac and cheese and it came out in a tiny styrofoam cup; not enough food for an 11 year old boy but he chowed down on the ribs so that was ok. My iced tea glass was sticky and my sisters food tray was sticky. that was gross. all in all not a good day at Tucker Duke's and certainly will not be returning. read more

This evening I was accompanied by some friends to this establishment, excited for the unique burgers I've heard much about. I was recommended by the waitress the Maddie burger, a seasonal option characterized by the addition of a raspberry jam, onion chutney and melted Brie. The burger was decent, balancing the salty and sweet mites; however, the meals don't come with sides, which add a prohibitive $6 to $15 to the meal. I opted for onion rings, which were disappointing for the $12 price. They were unseasoned and had no appeal other than texture, which had unparalleled mediocrity. My friends tried one onion ring each, and were equally dissatisfied. I thus decided to send them back (most of it remained) in exchange for fries. The waitress outright refused, and then refused to give us sauce because we were there too close to closing. The service was quite disappointing. The drinks additionally are charged for about $6. As far as the environment, it is alright. It has the ubiquitous aluminum chairs so hostile to the average man, and the same industrial lighting that defines this sort of establishment. But otherwise, it's undecorated and relatively uncomfortable. In the end, when I received the bill (I anticipated spending about $25 for a burger with onion rings), I was shocked to receive a tab of $47, which does not reflect the quality of the food or service. I would recommend other establishments for your money. The food is mediocre. The service--for us at least--is subpar. The environment is drab. I look forward to bringing my business elsewhere. read more

Quality though is good. My friend went with the Tucker Duke Burger and the Spicy Mango Margarita. The jalapeños soaked in the sweet mangos gave it a sweet and spicy kick. I went with the New Sinterklass and truffle fries -- 1/2 pound burger, pepper jack cheese, pickled chili and jalapeno peppers, brisket, onion bacon jam, crispy onions and zesty mayo. Delish! This is a place for original tasting burgers with a twist. It is a guaranteed impossibility to leave here still hungry. Besides their amazing burgers, their Mexican style elote (corn on the cob), tater tots, fries, and just about everything else boast amazing flavor. I recommend trying every different burger they offer, and ask if there are any specials. Long story short...everything here is delicious. To go with your meal, they also offer a couple of good beers on tap. Ask the server for suggestions on pairing beer with your meal. To that end...the service here has always been very friendly and efficient. I've never seen anything unclean or that worried me. This is hands-down the best burger restaurant in south Florida. The atmosphere is such a comfortable, upscale burger joint vibe.
