My wife found this one, and we managed to snag a reservation for a table in the bar area. The sign has a stagecoach on it - it looks like the wheels could be made to spin from the neon, but they weren't the night we were there. See the photos below. When we arrived, we were greeted at the door. There is a spot to the left as you walk in to put your coats if you want. Once seated, look around. There is a ton of history on the wall, and we enjoyed the wall displays of old guns and equipment. They start you off with 3 different salads. You think "What? 3?" Yes, three, and pretty generous portions of them. There was a 3 bean salad, a pea salad, and another one, and all of them were very tasty. We tried not to leave any behind. We ordered their jalapeño cheese curds as an appetizer. The cheese curds were good, but we couldn't taste much jalapeño zing in them. The salad came out - it was what I'd call a basic steakhouse salad. Nothing fancy. I ordered their baked french onion soup - that was very good, with the cheese liberally applied over the top of the bread in the top, and plenty of tasty onions inside. For the main course, my wife had their fried fish, which was plentiful along with Au Gratin potatoes and cole slaw. I had their filet mignon, which was very tasty, seemed to be dry aged, and was sooo tender, with a baked potato. As much as we would have liked to order dessert, it wasn't in the cards. Dinner was more than filling enough. Would we come back? Oh yes we would. The service was excellent, the food was tasty, and the restaurant had a lot of interesting things to look at on the inside. The bathrooms are on the north end of the restaurant. The hallway was a little cold. The mens room was nice and clean, and smelled clean.

But first I had to quench my thirst with the famous Wisconsin Brandy (not bourbon) Old Fashion. Brandy, some simple syrup, bitters, cherry and orange and just a touch of lemon/lime soda. And the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp was amazing. Sorry no pic on these. They went too fast. A beautiful fresh and very crisp salad preceded the main course. I heard about the portion sizes of their beef so I went with the smallest size they had. When it came to the table I told the server, " I think you gave me the large size". Nope this is the small. It was crazy huge. So stop eating the salad, put the loaded potato on the side because it's gonna take every inch in my stomach to finish this half of a cow! lol Well after almost all of it was gone, a cup of freshly brewed coffee and a table shared dessert was next. Home made ice cream with blended Cream De Menthe and Cream De Cacao piled high with more Cream de Menthe drizzled over the top for good measure. A heavenly experience indeed. Then we sit down and then wait ANOTHER 20 minutes for a server to approach us (this was after we chased down two employees to ask if we even had a server). By now we've been at this restaurant for over 30 minutes and no one in our party has even been able to place a drink order. Next the prime rib. At this price point, you expect quality, but again everyone was disappointed. Tough, nearly impossible to cut and no flavor. Both potatoes (baked and mashed) were terrible too. Baked potatoes ice cold and dried from over-baking. Mashed were so overpowered by garlic, it was almost unpalatable. How could a supper club not have a decent potato recipe? Overall I was very embarrassed that I had invited my friends to this restaurant, as it was such a subpar and expensive meal. We're hoping at some point they will branch out to McFarland, Monona or east Madison as it's about a 30 minute drive for us to get to any of there locations.
