Walked in Saturday for lunch. Our first time here. We Stood at the hostess stand for 10 minutes before we were acknowledged. Then a lady came and grabbed us and threw 2 menus on a table without making eye contact. I tried to ask her if we could get a booth but she ignored me and kept walking. Then we waited 10 minutes for a wait staff to come by for our order but no one ever did so we got up and left. We won't ever go back. Delicious, reasonably priced, fast service, and a chill vibe. It's my 3yo's favorite pizza place. I love their wide menu so there's something for everyone, no matter the craving. My colleagues and I go there for lunch occasionally and even though it's busy, our drink are always full, we're always in & out in time to get back to work. Here in town with friends and got three pies to go. As a transplant "come here" from the north east, I can be pretty critical of pizza. First of all set your expectations for the area you are in folks.... My party of five found the decor very simple and in good working order ... the single waitress on duty did a fantastic job keeping up with her tables. Wow . This place was not clean dark and dingy . There has been a Chef wanted sign before you enter for about a year and it shows in the quality of their food . Not much now in Clarksville since the covid bullshit . I ordered chicken fried steak and it was Cisco produced hockey puck that had cold gravy on it . The mash potatoes were cold and the green beans were soggy . Now for the good . The have fantastic draft beer selection and the beer is ice cold. Working in Clarksville, VA this week, we found a hole-in-the wall Pizza joint called the Pizza Pub. Expectatations of greasy, thin crust pepperoni and green pepper pie were met, with glee and stained napkins. The menu advised us that after 4pm, prices may vary. So did my interest in finding out why, but interesting enough to photog and post as the first PP pic. The dark accent lighting and general feel reminded me of Shakeys Pizza in Tysons Corner (long gone, for those of you who know what I'm talking about). Shakeys introduced me to video games, sticky soda grip tape floors and cracker crust style pizza. Lollipops and pony rides are possibly the only things that could have made it a better family place. This is a shame for Clarksville. We really need this restaurant but it's so hit and miss I can't eat here anymore. From time to time the pizza was really good. If you want to blend in, don't enter through the Virginia door - go in the door at the back of the place. LOL. I didn't have the pizza, but some colleagues did and it looked pretty darned good. Unless you're in the mood to eat a lot of pizza, stick with the X-Small or the Small. The medium is a lot of pizza. I had the meatball sub and a side of ruffled chips and it was pretty darned good. There aren't a whole heck of a lot of choices in Clarksville, so this one is definitely worth a try if you're in the area. read more

We thought we take a nice motorcycle ride to Clarksville and since the Lamplighter is closed a friend told us to try the "pizza place" down the street. We get there at 1 pm to find it closed. But all the signs and everything online saying they are open at 11 am on Sunday's. What a huge disappointment and a lesson learned. read more

We have eaten there many times as we live locally. Aggie & Sandy really try to do their best. Skibo & Cassie do well. Pam is a doll. The food quality is fairly consistent. Menu - especially appetizers - is dated. They need more food prepared in house, not from a bag that is dropped in a fryer. Specials are typically good. Do you get value for the money? For sure. But after I saw the waitress put pieces of lettuce that was on the counter back in the lettuce on the bar with her bare hands, I lost my appetite for a salad. Then it didn't help that a brick was used at the bottom to hold it up because one of the legs was broken. The food comes and the pizza was disgusting. It was obvious that they use a pre-made crust instead of making their own from scratch. No sauce, barely any cheese and the toppings were just thrown on top. For this to be a "pizza" pub, the pizza should be the bomb! The place was dirty and the only reason why we even ate in here was because Gino's was shut down and there's nothing else to eat other than fast food in Clarksville. The pizza is good....that is about all I can say for this place. Yes it is good but also very expensive. $18 for a large deluxe when the toppings are chopped so small you can't even taste them.
