I enjoyed my visit to Pizza Ranch this evening. The pizza was very tasty and they even asked if I wanted a custom pizza when I paid. (The price is higher then I would like) I ordered a chicken bacon pepperoni pizza! When it was done they brought it to my table and gave me 1st dibs on it! The chicken looked really dry but I tried it and it was really moist! Maybe some of the best chicken in town now. I also found out that they have a balloon artist making balloon animals for children on every Tuesday night. So other then the price being a little high I highly recommend this restaurant! read more

Pizza Ranch is awesome! Have been there several times and always get exceptional service. Pricing is decent as its ayce. The chicken is to die for! Pizza styles are unique and amazing. I love that they have unique pizzas you won't find other places. The cherry desert pizza is fantastic! Anyone who gets upset over wait times, this is a new restaurant! Don't post messages because this is to be expected. If you can't handle that go else where. They do the absolute best they can. Getting upset over something you can walk away from and posting bad reviews is ridiculous. The manger Mike is super nice and always helpful to customers. I have never been so offended in all my life. I asked for a bacon and ham pizza with a sweet sauce. I was brought a ham and bacon pizza with pineapple. I was nice about it and told them it was was wrong. So i got brought another pizza and it was also made wrong. So the manager came out and told me i was a rude customer ( her name was Selena (she told me she was the owner ) i have never in my life been so impaled in my life. All i wanted was the pizza made right. Also as i have been sitting here i have seen 3 other customers complain and she just walked away. I like me some Pizza Ranch... Even though the food is average it has somehow become our families favorite place - probably because we visited one in North Dakota and spent the entire time laughing about things (specifically the people of ND). Good times. So PR has reached legendary status. Their chicken is usually pretty good - unless they over cook it. The pizza is average. However, we love their dessert pizza. The PR experience is always better if: a) the buffet area is clean b) they clean up dirty plates on time Essentially, they have 2 jobs to make everyone's experience better...seems simple to me. Our visit had a guy, Isaiah (I think), who was awesome and on top of cleaning up our dishes. You already feel gross eating 7 pieces of chicken...you don't want to see the dirty plates as a constant reminder of your gorging experience. read more

I've been wanting to try this place since I moved into town. It has its good and bad. The pizzas are yummy. They have a good selection of unique and custom made pizzas that are cut into small pieces (which I love because it allows you to try different kinds without getting super full off of one slice and saves you from wasting it). The ones I liked was the mac n cheese pizza, garlic lovers pizza, buffalo chicken pizza and taco pizza. They also have fried chicken and fried fish fillets, which are not bad. The corn and green beans are right out of a can so not good at all. The biscuits are hard and crumble when you try to butter it. They had two soup options that were very watery and under seasoned. The dessert pizzas leave a lot to be desired. Its basically bread with a drizzle of some kind of sauce/icing and a few pieces of fruit (more like just one on each slice). The day we went, the ice cream machine was not working. The service is 50/50. Once we were seated everyone was really friendly and came by often to pick up used plates and to see if you needed anything. Up front though it wasnt quite as friendly. And just an FYI, as a yelper i check in everywhere I go and this place had a coupon pop up for either money off a drink or a free drink. No one seemed to know what that was or how to apply it. Came here to eat at 7:50. They close at 9:00. However, when we walked in they said they close the buffets at 8:00 due to slow business. At 8:10 I literally watched them throw pizza in the trash when there were still customers in here eating. Granted I did get a discount but it just makes no sense. read more

I really enjoy eating here. The pizza is decent and there are plenty to choose from, salad bar is good and the fried chicken is the best I have had at a place of this quality. We went there when they were busy as can be on a sat evening and they really stepped up and pulled it together! Then even bought the pizza of our choice out to us to make sure we were getting the food we wanted. The only time I had to wait was for the desert pizza and it wasn't long at all and to be honest it was better fresh anyways. read more

Pizza on the bar is nasty and dried out. The desserts and chicken are adequate. The restaurant is dirty which is a big turn off and appetite suppressant. Food napkins thrown everywhere and spilled drinks with cups thrown around is a commonplace. read more

I desperately miss Chicago Style for buffet pizza. The owners put so much effort and work into their menu and what they offered. For Pizza Ranch, the pizza is nothing special. It's thin with hardly any sauce or cheese. And when we went on a Saturday night, they had a bunch of flavors that didn't appeal to anyone in the restaurant. There were no basics like sausage, cheese, or pepperoni. And since the pizzas weren't being selected off the bar, the staff weren't making anything new to replace them. I came across a manager, but he was arguing with a staff member, threatening to fire someone else. Don't take that kind of business where everyone can see and hear you. I will give them kudos for the chicken. But for $32 for two adults and two kids (one a toddler), I can either order us a pizza all of us can eat or get meals from KFC if I'm in the mood for chicken read more

We had been regulars there since it opened. Since then it has changed owners 3 times or more. Once they run out of something, you will wait forever for the staff to restock. This includes chicken. An all you can eat ain't worth a dang if they have nothing on the buffet line. I have yet to encounter a cashier that knew what he/she was doing. It takes soooo long for a customer to be processed. But what pushed us over the edge was the fact that they removed the military/veterans discount. Now I realize I am not entitled to anything, but they had offered it since the beginning and have since removed it. A whole lot less painful to not offer something to begin with then to offer and then take away. Kind of feels like they no longer recognize the vets for what they have sacrificed. When I approached management I got the stock answer of "well this is what corporate tells us we have to do". A cost savings measure? Funny how you have the money to pay for TV ads during the Cubs games. Kind of a slap in the face to those of us who served. You can't Swing a cat in this town without hitting two restaurant doors. So, with my limited discretionary cash, I will be spending my money where I feel appreciated. read more

Ate here today for lunch. I was very surprised and disappointed with the layout of this new restaurant. The buffet islands are very close together and close to the entryway making the traffic flow very uncomfortable and unpleasant. People were constantly bumping into each other and experiencing difficulties with maneuvering through the congested crowd. The food was very average, nothing that impressed me. We ate here on a Sunday and the buffet is $11.49/adult. That is WAY too much to pay for this place.....about $10 too much. One thing to keep in mind, they are open on Sundays even though the Yelp app shows they are not. There was quite a long line to get in and 2 registers to pay at. I instantly thought of the old Ponderosa buffet when I walked in. You have to cut through the food area to get seated and it gets very congested. Let me just say that some people become complete idiots when it comes to buffets and lose all sense of manners. There was no right or wrong way to get food and no "true" lines - if someone saw pizza they wanted, they went for it, even if it meant reaching over people. Now, for the food. The fried chicken was pretty good - probably my favorite thing there. The pizza wasn't even mediocre. Casey's pizza is better. The pumpkin dessert pizza they had was pretty good and there was a nice selection on the salad bar. Although, I don't think people are going for the salad bar. They were continually making sure the pizzas were filled as well. When we left, we wished we wouldn't have turned around and had gone to Joe's Station House instead, like we had planned. Too bad I can't give this place zero stars. I dislike buffets generally but the kids wanted to try it, so I relented. 1. The layout is terrible. In order to exit the restaurant, you have to go thru the buffet line! How idiotic is that? The result is that you always have a crowd of people in and around the buffet. 2. The salad bar was sparse and dismal. Looked liked a tornado hit it. 3. The pizza was meh at best. I would put it on par with Casey's pizza. The low quality cheese makes for a greasy mess of a pizza. They have at most 6 pizzas out at a time. 4. When we were there, the server cleared off our table once, and at a buffet seeing stacks of filthy dishes everywhere is an appetite killer ( but to be fair, the food and patrons did that already). 5. And the patrons....its like all the local trailer parks and rural hellholes took a field trip to pizza ranch the day we were there. Enough said. Some good...the chicken noodle soup was good. The dessert pizza was surprisingly good as well. alas, soup and dessert pizza do not a good restaurant make, so one star only because zero stars isn't an option. read more

The first few times I had been to Pizza Ranch had varied greatly from the last. One day at least five school buses full of children were there, you can only imagine what the buffet looked like, no fault of the location of course because that level of cleaning and output of food would require robots and we aren't quite there yet. On average though it has been pretty tame when I have went. Always clean, and usually fully stocked. They do a good job at picking up the dirty plates from the tables. The pizza isn't the best I've had but it IS a buffet and there are other options like chicken, sides, salads, soups etc. They have a soft serve ice cream machine and dessert pizzas as well. Overall I'd say give it a try if you are into eating as much as humanly possible for a decent price, and the drink is included! read more

My family and I roll into Pizza Ranch at 8:45pm to give it a try. I'd heard from a few people that their fried chicken was the best. Having never been to a Pizza Ranch, I had no idea what to expect. We asked the gal at the register if we seat ourselves, she informed us that we do seat ourselves and we have to order and pay right then and there. I didn't expect to be put on the spot, as soon as I walk in, to order immediately. She had informed us that since the restaurant is still new, that they had extended the buffet hours from 8pm-9pm, but since we had arrived so late, we shouldn't order the buffet as they would no longer be filling it. Instead we looked over menus, each ordered a chicken dinner and then a small pizza to sample. We waited for 10 minutes or so, and then our little number plate started buzzing, at which point we weren't sure what to do, as after a few more minutes, no food had been brought to us. Finally I grab one of the 5 kids standing around and ask where our food is. He goes in the back, and next thing I know, here comes a different kid with a pizza. He asks how many slices we want.. We each look at each other confused, tell him, and after serving us, grabs our number plate and walks away with the pizza. I say "hey, where are you going with our pizza? We paid for the whole thing." At this point I also notice it is a cheese pizza and not our bronco pizza. I also inform him we have chicken dinners coming. He gives back the number and we give back the cheese pizza. We sit and wait several more minutes for them to bring our food. Meanwhile, during this time, a few other couples have come in, ordered the buffet, made a couple trips, and the food was still being replenished well after 9pm. We finally received our chicken dinners, and shortly after, our pizza. The chicken was ok, but definitely not great. The mashed potatoes and gravy did stand out to me as very good. The pizza was also marginal at best. Based on service and quality of food, I wouldn't recommend Pizza Ranch. I'm honestly surprised they built a new building for food that just isn't that good. It would also have been nice to see the kids "working" there do a little more than just stand around talking. Napkins needed refilling, and the floor under our table was littered with chunks of chicken. read more

The prices are ridiculous for the quality of the food. The pizza is subpar for a place that is supposed to specialize in pizza, the chicken buffet is nothing special and the salad bar is just average. I found the layout of the restaurant to be very disappointing. The fact you pay first creates a very long line to get in and the entrance and exit is the same hallway and it gets congested easily. Once in the restaurant, the buffer area is poorly designed, there is no flow to the buffet so people had a hard time knowing where to be in "line". I found the salad bar to be ok, nothing tasted very fresh and the lettuce was wilted. This was quite disappointing since we got there right at opening for lunch. The pizza was marginal, there was a large variety of speciality pizzas, some were very greasy and others not so. The sweet chili pizza was the highlight of the buffet! I found it odd that standard sausage or pepperoni pizzas were not on the buffet. The dessert pizzas were very good. I certainly did not leave hungry. I would like to see trays to carry the plates back to the table. I saw several people juggling 2 plates and their cup back to the table, trays would be a nice addition. At $10 for the lunch buffet, it didn't feel like the quality of the food was there. I will have to give this place a second chance when it's not so busy. read more

As I read the other reviews of the Pizza Ranch, one thing that many forgot is that this is a buffet restaurant. Unless one is going to a high-end buffet in Las Vegas, one does not expect super high-quality food from a buffet. So my review is from that perspective. I have been there twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. As for the pizza. I was happy with the selection. When it's busy they are constantly adding pizzas. Options that I saw were taco, BLT, sausage, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, cheese, beef, wildfire, Buffalo chicken, vegetarian, chicken broccoli Alfredo, among others. I would highly suggest on your first trip to grab a few that you like and then put in a request for one that you don't see up there. It will take about 10 to 15 minutes for them to cook but they will bring it to your table and give you the first few slices. Now how does the pizza taste? Well it's not the best but not the worst. But it's good for a buffet style restaurant. As for the fried chicken area of the bar, on one visit the chicken was better than the other. One time it was a bit dark indicating that there oil needs to be replaced. Mashed potatoes with gravy was okay comparable to what you would get at KFC. The Salad bar is okay, if you want Salad go to Jason's Deli. Chances are if you are going to the pizza ranch for the buffet, salad is not going to be on the top of your list. The dessert pizza is good, but they tend to run out quickly and not as quickly replaced as the regular pizza. I would not suggest ordering off the menu. I have seen a few people do that on my visits and they wait an unreasonable amount of time and it is pretty much the same food that you will get in the buffet. So if you are in the mood for a lot of pizza and chicken, then this is the place for you. It has better selection then other pizza buffets offered in town. Just don't expect gourmet food. Terrible experience... how do you want to be treated? I have been to this Pizza Ranch maybe 6 or 7 times in the last 2 months and had a good experience. Today was totally different all because of your management. This is what happened...I was on my 30 minute lunch break and have been frequenting Pizza Ranch for lunch. I think there chicken is great and the reason I go there is because I don't have to wait for it. When I went today they had a total of 8 pieces of chicken 6 breast and 1 wing and 1 thigh. I don't like the breast so I ate the wing and thigh. I then asked a couple of workers if they were bring out more chicken. One of the ladies told me it would be 10 minutes. That will make me 20 minutes into my lunch. I saw a woman who appeared to be a manager and I said there is no chicken out but breast and she told me well we are not out of chicken and we can't gauge how much chicken to cook. She then said it would be a few minutes. I waited for the chicken to come out by the counter. The manager brought it out and said here is your fresh hot chicken and I hope you have a better day. I said I would have had a better day if the chicken was already out. The manager then said "What did you say?" She was trying to intimidate me. I said I would have had a better day if the chicken had been out. This manager said I was harassing her. Now not ONE time did she apologize for the chicken not being on the counter. I told her that I have been at that particular Pizza Range several times and had never had a problem before. She said "I doubt that". I told her I was going to report her to the corporate office and she said fine I know all of them. I then asked her for her name and she said " I'm not giving you my name" and asked me my name and I told her then she said her name was Selina. She then snatched the chicken I had on a plate and told me to get out of her store that she was calling the police. I guess I committed a crime by asking where the chicken was. I told her I want my money back. She went to the register and gave me a $20 bill. I told her I did not pay $20 for the meal I only paid $11 and some change. I don't think she could figure that out how much to give me. So she then went on her cell phone and call 911 and said I would not leave the property. I told her wait I had to write her name down and then I left the property. If I was not working I would have stayed and talked to the police. I was amazed that a company could a manager on there team treating a customer like that. That is a bad reflection on their company. I used no profanity nor did I yell and scream at her. This managed worked on 5/19/2018 and I was there from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Is it protocol to snatch a plate from a customer. If you don't think I'm telling the truth I'm sure you have some in house video that you can watch to see what happened. I'm now reaching out to the district manager of this facility. I give it 5 stars, relative to what the place is, a buffet. It's neat and clean, and the food is pretty tasty, enough so that I went home good and filled up. I wouldn't say that the food stands out too much from other places, but what is there is really very good! The chicken had delicious, crispy skin and was tender on the inside. The mashed potatoes were pleasing, as was the gravy and the corn. I didn't try the biscuits, but they're not really my thing in the first place. Salad isn't my thing, either. Call me what you will, but when I go to a buffet, I go to fill up on the good stuff, not to cram my belly with rabbit food. I loved the pizza. With such a wide range of expectations on what the perfect pizza should be, it's easy to understand how some people would like it, and others wouldn't. Personally, I judge a pizza based on the taste of the cheese, sauce and toppings, and I enjoyed what they had to offer. They'll even make a custom pizza for you, but I found the offering on the buffet to be sufficient. The dessert pizzas came in a few varieties. I tried the blueberry, and it was really very good. It's like Chuck E. Cheese without tokens,games,and cheesy rides. It's a place where people take a large group of kids to eat like a little league team etc. The flow of the buffet is a chaotic mess. The food is ok...chicken was pretty good...the pizza is probably one step up from(I'll compare this place to Chuck E. Cheese once more)Chuck E. Cheese.
