Every table is dirty. Staff is all in back messing around. Food was not filled or flipped when filling. When wiping a table for us busser wiped one small part before I ask to see the towel. As a family of three driving 18hours from MN to GA we stopped to eat at the Pizza Ranch location at Mount Pleasant for a quick bite. We came in at 7PM and decided to get a buffet. Right away after 15 minutes we had not received any drinks cups which we had to go an take it upon ourselves to receive them. After reviewing the food bar we were very disappointed to see the lack of food available. You could obviously see that they had only old food options very dry pizzas and uncooked and dried up pasta noodles. We stayed there for an hour and a half and no new pizzas were brought out except dessert. Aside from this after eating we say an employee on his lunch break scratch his bottom and proceeded to go back to the kitchen without washing there hands. I do not recommended coming to this location there was bad service no employees to be found and very unhygienic. The food was stall, cold and uncooked in regards to the pizzas and the pastas were uncooked and sauce was very very old it would scrap into a thick glub like. First stop for food on my trip back to Iowa. They're more known for their fried chicken and pizza, but the salad bar is pretty decent if you're looking for vegan food. I was a little disappointed that there was no broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, mushrooms, or beans. They've got great green beans, pasta w/ sauce, and potato wedges though. My mom requested a special pizza (one that they usually have) and they forgot to make it. She had to remind them and it came out very late, so they gave it to us in a box and said it was on them, so they made up for it. The staff are great and the food is pretty good. They could definitely do better with their cleaning though. We were one of the first groups to arrive for the dinner buffet and there were fingerprints all over the window beside us. Has the best friend chicken in town. I love being able to make my own fresh salad always. When ordering a pizza they are fast to get it made and sent out. I just don't like that if it is a slow night they can skip a customer standing out front waiting to pay to eat for a while. Then get told that they were on break I had to wait longer. read more

Stopped in around 2pm November 11, 2022 at the Mount Pleasant Iowa Pizza Ranch, only to discover they weren't doing buffet at that time, but we agreed to order off the menu. My son (42) went to use restroom, when he came out he spoke to an employee came back to our table grabbed his coat and WE AREN'T EATING HERE. Which I was surprised because we had eaten there numerous times. Well while in the restroom an employee can out of the stall and didn't wash his hands and walked back into the kitchen. I feel the Henry County Health Department should do an inspection and Pizza Ranch Manager needs to do much needed training to hygiene with their employees. We will never stop there again. read more

My family arrived there for dinner around 7:30 pm, on Saturday. The cashier was very friendly and offered to make specific pizzas, if we wanted them. The price was reasonable for the buffet and it included drinks. I really didn't feel like having pizza, so I was happy to see chicken and mashed potatoes. The food was hot and delicious, but the dining room was a hot mess. If I would have seen that from the register, we would have gone somewhere else. Honestly The people watching was the best part of this meal - apparently going to dinner in your pajamas is commonplace here. It was a Monday night and many restaurants were closed so our options were slim. Was 1730pm, buffet replenishment slow, salad lettuce not refilled. Its not bad, a bit hokey and overdone with the whole Western theme. The food isn't bad though, if there's a pizza you like, request it and they'll bring it to you before they put it on the buffet. The food is tasty. Salad bar is OK, not great. Wish it were a little more fresh. The chicken is good. Sometimes it takes awhile to get fresh out, which can be annoying. I am mixed on my review. On one hand we always go here when I am visiting. On the other the food could be managed better. We got here before 5pm but they don't really bring out food until 5pm. There seemed like 50 people waiting and the food was wiped out and they never really got ahead of the rush. The chicken is always great but the pizza is hit or miss and in some ways you just feel lucky to just get a piece. It was kind of stressful. You can go later but the stuff ends up being hit or miss as well. Awesome!!!!!!! So we are on a motorcycle trip to SD. Severe storms trapped us at the Americinn hotel. The lady at the desk suggested a few local place and we decided on this location. We walked in about 5:30pm, it looked busy that was fine, my husband our two children and myself waited in front of the counter a good 10-15 minutes and were ignored. Also while we waited we noticed they had absolutely no chicken and very few pizzas out. This all didn't bode well, so we got fed up and left. I would give it zero stars if I could. I waited almost an hour for a cold hard wrap that they clearly forgot about but decided to lie to my face with an excuse. I finally just asked for it to go as I was passing through town & I got the biggest attitude. She brought it back to me & didn't say a thing to me. Not once was I apologized to, they didn't even talk to me when I went up to see where my wrap was. As any Chicagoan, I love pizza and I know good pizza. This place was surprisingly really good. The Buffalo Chicken pizza is not too spice which is a plus. The only reason I'm not giving a full five stars is because the hot wings weren't crispy, and that's just a preference. We reserved and Used their party room for a get together with friends. We ordered pizzas from the menu. It was a do it yourself type location. Had to find silverware ourselves, drinks had to be bought by the glass & not by the pitcher. Didn't really see anyone check on us other than when they brought the pizza. Needed to order a pizza halfway through & had to leave guests & go wait in line to do so. Poor customer service. Will look for another place next time for a get together. read more

I called and placed an order for pickup and gave employee my phone, address, order and coupon. Over the phone she repeatedly stated that she was trying to touch screen and system wasn't a touch screen. She took quite awhile and eventually gave me total and told me order would be ready for pickup in 45 minutes. When I went to get, they said they had no record of my order and couldn't do anything about it. They didn't offer to quickly get food off buffet ( I'd ordered chicken, potatoes, and coleslaw), or give me discount off next order, or even place a new order. My dad brought us here on our most recent trip to Iowa. I really didn't know what to expect at first, but wow. The buffet has fried chicken and everything to go with that, plus tons of different pizzas. The food was all fresh, and the service was amazing. They even asked me if I had any requests on a pizza, and they brought the first couple pieces to me before putting it on the buffet. I was shocked, I'd never seen a buffet like this before, and haven't since either. Very good food, decent prices, and awesome service. read more

I love their California chicken pizza when they get our order right. Many young teens with an I don't care attitude working there. Many occasions we have come and the buffet is pretty empty and unless you have them make you something and wait for it to come to the table its very hit and miss if you will get anything you were looking for. Several of their supervisors and managers have really poor attitudes even when you bring attention to your order being incorrect they are not in a hurry to make it right. Dining room is usually a hot mess and we have to wipe our own table off when we seat ourselves. Prices are a bit high for a non stocked buffet. Drinks are included and desert pizzas and soft serve but last 4x we have went dessert pizza was out our whole time there and soft serve wasn't working. Defiantly has went down hill last two years.
