I've come here many times this place is very inconsistent. The crust is super crunchy and will tear the roof of your mouth apart.

My wife and I have been going to Pizza Stop for over a year now. We found it after we had gone in to Tropical Smoothie 2 doors down, an amazing place also! The pizza we got were so good we instantly made that "The Place in OBX" we would get our pizza when we go to the outer banks,which in once a month or more. I wasn't a huge fan of Pizza Stop. We ordered Buffalo Wings and a Pick 5 Supreme with Pepperoni, Sausage, Olives, Mushrooms, and Onions. The order came very quickly - 10 mins quicker than projected. The pizza was okay, I wasn't a huge fan and the crust was very hard. I actually liked the wings better. The pepperoni has the deli-pepperoni flavor. The wings were big and very good. Bleu Cheese sauce was not great but oh well. My wife said their House/Chef Salad was really good. And even the french fries were very good. During COVID, they are only doing curbside, and the staff was friendly. I saw some earlier posts which were critical, but for our visit, we enjoyed it and would come back. Stopped in Sunday evening with my family on our way back North. The pizza, despite being too thin for my personal preference, tasted ok. No complaints here. Was difficult to cut with plastic silverware on paper plates, though. Wings were a good size but needed more sauce; I asked for a side to dip. Hot buffalo sauce was not what I was expecting, but still very good - it had a sweetness to it. I asked for tap water and was told by the owner, "It's city water. I wouldn't want to drink that." But they'll be more than happy to sell you a half liter bottle for $1.50. I did a cursory search and could not find anyone else online who had a problem with the water. I respect the fact that this is a private establishment, and if they want to run their business that way, that's their perogative - it just rubbed me the wrong way because I've been able to obtain free water at literally every other establishment I've ever been to in my entire life. Maybe it's because we went on a Saturday during a thunderstorm, and all the "incoming" were grabbing a 'za instead of barbecuing, but we saw plenty of locals greeted by name. In any event, we were told at the counter it was the busiest day they have head all year. That might explain why they were out of Margherita pizza (ostensibly it would be the fresh mozzarella.) I ordered a plain to substitute for the wife and daughter. For the son and myself I ordered a half meatball/half pepperoni. There was some question going on between the counter, and kitchen as to whether THAT could be filled, but then I was assured it could be. Both pizzas arrived, but with the pepperoni missing from the boys' pie. I pointed it out to the server (who was the same teen who took my order. He mumbled something incoherent (not an apology) and walked away. We had paid (and tipped) in advance. Something I now regret. We are from Philly (and have eaten Philly/NJ/NY pizzas all our lives.) After reading all the reviews we though we were in for something special. The crust was thin, but not at all crispy (as though it had steamed, but it was hot out of the oven.)
