We grabbed several pizzas from Lighthouse on our first night of our vacation in Corolla (Outer Banks). The place is small and really seemed best for take out. They were really hopping on a Saturday in July. We got cheese, pepperoni, meat lovers, and some garlic cheese bread. The crust is on the thinner side and the pizza had a ton of flavor. TLDR: Good beach pizza! This is a takeout pizza place. Barely enough space for 3 people inside waiting to pickup orders. Super friendly people! Their menu has a couple of family size pasta dishes and salads (which looked large when I saw them while waiting to pickup my pizza), wings and a few other things in addition to pizza We ordered a Supreme and a White Pizza. I ordered online and when selecting a pizza online there was no way to tell them to hold an ingredient (not put it on the pizza). The people who ate the supreme said it was good. I enjoyed the white pizza. Good size pizzas and crust is decent. We would order again. Also I ordered online and it said would be ready in 20 minutes. I picked up at about 40 minutes and my pizza was waiting and still hot! it's not the best pizza I've had but for a beach pizza place it was good and the service was appreciated! After looking over their website, I was a bit hesitant on their "#2 pizza in the US", but while I was eating it I thought maybe they were telling the truth. Walked in to a warm welcome, and I was excited for what was to come. One of those places that even when you're on vacation, it feels like home. We had a large pizza and two personal salads, both of which were HUGE! The pizza was excellent as well. We ordered takeout so I can't speak to the actual restaurant but the person I spoke to was very helpful and walked me through the menu and what was popular. We ordered four totally different pies, white pizza with onion, mushroom and onion, pepperoni, and the Margherita. We also got some cheesy garlic bread. Everything was top notch. The sauce was fresh and not overpowering and the toppings and cheese were very tasty. The Margherita was a little different than normal but if you like pesto it's tasty as well. We picked up a pizza to take down the road and eat at the beer garden. Needless to say, we were very impressed. The pizza and level of service were both amazing. Props to the owners. This was an overall fantastic experience from the incredibly high quality pizza to the warm and friendly service!!! We ordered the vegetable pizza and the gentleman taking our order suggested we try some pesto drizzled on it. We weren't sure so he just put it on part of the pizza. OMG -- the favor was so amazing!!! He told us he made it himself with fresh basil and olive oil. Plus loads of veggies and high quality cheese with delicious crust. I knew the cheese was high quality because I had no stomach issues afterwards, which I always do when cheese is highly processed. I highly recommend this pizza!!! Wholly disappointing experience. The ordering process was painful. We had a 2 hour wait for delivery but decided to go with it in hopes of getting an edible meal. Delivery arrived in an hour and a half so that was a step in the right direction. However, what arrived was a pitiful attempt at subs and pizza. Salads were okay. French fries 1/10. Pizza - barely cut, crust too thin, meager toppings, jumbled. We choked down what we could because the bill was substantial. Ordered on a Saturday night which is extremely busy here, During this time of year. We ordered three pizzas; margarita, spicy Buffalo, and a regular pepperoni and banana pepper. The employees were very pleasant and professional. The pizza however, was something to be desired as the crust was burnt and very hard to chew and the all of the pizzas lacked ample sauce.
