Legit best pizza in town, incredible crust and so many options. This place is better than a lot of spots I have eaten at in the Bay Area too. Super fresh dough hand made to order with any topping you like. They have a number of set pies too. We did not try any of the pasta but it also looked incredibly delicious. Indoor and outdoor seating. They have a good selection of drinks but if you want beer or wine you have to bring it they don't sell liquor at all. Family style we had the caprese salad and it was divine. Simple but so delicious. I don't eat tomato, I can't stand them actually but I ate theirs and loved it. A little balsamic vinegar and it was a winner. We also got a sausage and mushrooms pie and a classic cheese and both were stellar. Crust was crispy and chewy and light as air. Really well done. After driving by the place every single day we've been here, since it's along the way to the main town square center, we finally decided to try this spot - also because majority of us are over tacos and burritos. Lol. Like majority of the restaurants, they offer outdoor seating which is literally in the same road as the cars directly in front of the restaurant. The service is okay, not as friendly as other places, but the food made up for it. We ordered the garlic bread which was deeelish. If you notice from my pictures; it looks like a pizza but just mainly garlic and olive oil. The mixed salad was beautiful, one of the most prettiest and freshest salads I've ever had! The charcuterie board of mixed cheeses and meats also had a beautiful presentation. For dinner I tried the carbonara. The only thing that sticks out for this place from other Italian restaurants is that they make there own pasta in house! I tasted a huuuuuge difference immediately within my first bite! The piece las of black pepper within the pasta was also very welcoming, this added a different kind of spice kick versus putting hot sauce or red chili flakes all over. I would highly recommend the restaurants along this street, and adjacent to this one. They are separate from the busy hustle bustle of the square and therefore these spots are not that crowded. read more

As you can see from most of my Sayulita reviews, I love everything about this town, including all of the local businesses working hard to keep their doors open to so many tourists and locals. There are a handful of pizza and Italian places in town, Pizza Venezia is a solid option for brick oven pizza - food comes out fast - and pastas. Plus, it's BYO. It gets HOT if you sit "inside" due to the adjacent kitchen and over; you're better off sitting outside with a slight breeze. read more

We tried this place on a whim and am I glad we did. The pizza and pasta were both outstanding and the service was terrific. The wood fired pizza was spot on and not over floured like another place in town. Toppings were just right with plenty of options to choose from. The pasta was every bit as good. It's hand made and both our dishes were cooked Al dente perfectly. I highly recommend the truffle dish, but my wife had the carbonara and it was a close second. I doubt you'd be disappointed with anything on the menu. It's a great place on the north side so not as hectic as downtown. It's small with limited seating like most places here but we were able to be seated quickly. This place is definitely one of our favorites in sayulita. read more

At first I was hesitant to grab pizza while in Sayulita. Alas, I was there with two kiddos in tow, and we needed a big ol' crowd pleaser. We ended up getting Pizza Venezia twice! Delish. It was on our way back up the hill to our villa, and after a day of fun and bouncing around it was just what the doctor ordered. A few important things to note: +The bar next door serves huge shots of house tequila for v. cheap, have one while you wait +Do not get the shrimp pizza, everything there is wonderful but seafood on pizza sounds good after tequila. We went here tonight and they made my husbands pizza w the wrong toppings and I watched the lady in the kitchen pick off the onions that we didn't order n threw on RAW pepperoni on a already cooked pizza and brought it out to us! Jeez! I definitely need to start taking more pictures of the places I visit. I feel as though my words don't always paint a good picture of how lovely a place is. Well, here we go! I can say with absolute certainty that you will not be disappointed by this place. Their calzones are huge and full of flavor. I am used to calzones in America and they are pretty good, but this place tops the places I've visited. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, but I would suggest sitting outdoors so you have the full effect. The wait wasn't too bad, but during my visit, there was only one dude manning all the tables. I felt bad for the dude, but I showed my appreciation for his efforts in his tip. The staff was very friendly and was very willing to help translate some of their menu options to some of my friends that were not Spanish speakers (there were a few things I could not translate). I was pleasantly surprised at how good the pizza was here. This is Mexico...they aren't suppose to have great pizza. But, the pizza here wasn't just good...it was GREAT! It is true wood fired pizza with great cheese and great sauce. They don't sell alcohol, but they allow you to bring your own beer or own drinks. It really is better than any other pizza that we found in Sayulita. Best in Mexico like they advertise? I am not sure, but only because I haven't eaten all of the great pizza in Mexico. We were in here for a 10 days, This was our GO-TO spot for pizza (99 pesos, any toppings!!). Fire brick oven, hand tossed and flavorful! Their pasta dishes were all made from scratch, I think. Pretty good pizza but nothing exceptional. Flavor is there but lacks texture. We ordered a few pizzas - cheese, Margherita and one with bacon and onions and garlic. Couldn't taste the garlic and the bacon was actually ham. Crusts were inconsistent - burnt on parts of it and under cooked elsewhere. The pesto pasta was over cooked. All pretty tasty if you want something different but the local fare has been consistently better. We did order to go but were a 5 min walk so maybe that played a small role. read more

We used to live in Napoli, Italia. While the pizza isn't perfect, it was really good for pizza. The service is slow once you order, so if your not sure if you want 1 pie or 2, you'll either be waiting for your second pie or wanting more when you are done. Worth the wait and suited the local vibe. Had family dinner and it was safe enough for the kids to walk on the street by themselves to Wa Kika popsicles and ice cream next door since there are always tons of people waiting to pick up and carry out their pies. read more

Began eating there 3 years ago for the winter due to a friends suggestion. Have been back twice in the past week. Never disappointed. We really love this place! It's a tad-bit warm out there by the oven, but hey - this is Mexico. And you can always get one to go and run back to your AC (like we've done many times). The pizza is great, and cheap! Like $99 pesos for a large with any toppings you want! And as long as they cook it enough, it's really some of the better pizza we've had in the states or Mexico. The staff is super friendly, and like almost everyone we meet in Sayulita, extremely accommodating. Overall, not the best pizza I've ever had. But really damn good for a small surfing village. This is definitely the BEST spot in town. We were here 3 years ago and loved it. The cool thing is...they haven't changed a thing which is Awesome. Just pizza pasta and salad. Keep in mind, it's BYOB. They do have soda and water however. Keep it simple! It's just a really great spot away from all the ruckus tucked back in a small residential neighborhood. This place was great! I am vegan and they were more than understanding and made me vegan garlic bread and pizza without cheese. The pizzas are large and delicious. The produce was fresh and clean. Environment is pleasant with both outdoor and indoor seating. Loved being able to sit at the bar and watch them make pizzas! Thanks for accommodating vegan customers. So this is my favorite pizza in the whole world. :) Lovely Italian thin crust pizza, made by an Italian ex-pat chef in a proper Italian wood fired oven. $99 pesos for a big pizza with all the toppings you want (about $5-6 USD), which seems too good to be true but apparently isn't. Their salad is good too. And it's BYO, no corkage fee, crazy. In high season, they make a panacotta that is to die for. read more
