Got the pizza of the month for April, which was jalapeño popper and was really good. The appetizer we ordered was onion rings, which our waitress forgot about and brought out after our pizza came. The onion rings were soggy, so I don't recommend ordering those. The restaurant was clean, however the service left something to be desired. We were the only customers there when we arrived, yet the staff still was not very attentive and a bit rude. The pizza was great which is the main reason I would consider going back. read more

Ordered the day before for a lunch. Pizza was on time, hot, correct and cut according to our directions. My favorites are the Crab Rangoon (yes, crab Rangoon), Flying Hawaiian, and Buffalo Chicken. We went on a Monday Eve. Only one other table was full, but seemed like a decent amount of carryout. We had 9 people in our party, were seated quickly and waited on fast. We had to wait for 2 more people but the waitress wasn't pushing us. We decided to order the Carnivore pizza, 2 other small pizzas, Taco Salad , two burgers (as special was bogo burgers), and a app of Mozzarella sticks. The Mozzarella sticks were very tasty and not from frozen. The Carnivore pizza was just enough for 3-4 teens and had lots of toppings but to thin for me but the kids loved it. My wife loved the taco salad but asked for Sour cream and salsa on the side. When it came out both were ON the salad but since they didn't put big globs on she was fine with this. We ordered the Bacon Gouda Burger and the Evil twin burger...We were given Two Gouda Burgers but my son ate his so fast that he couldn't get the proper Burger. With so many pizza options around, it's hard to really stand out. Having said that, I enjoy Pizza West primarily because you can buy it by the slice. This is great if you're someone like me and like a variety. I am also a fan of their mozzarella sticks. They even have a decent beer selection with a few local options which is a nice touch. To me, the best pizza in these parts is Mangia Italiana, however, Pizza West is a decent option when I want less than a full pie or don't want to make the drive to Irvington. read more

Their food is SO DELICIOUS! I recommend the mozzarella sticks, because they are just the perfect amount of crispy and cheesy! Plus their pizzas are always wonderful, and not too greasy. The crust is perfect too, never burnt, but crisp and De-lic-ious! read more

This is one of many pizza places in Omaha as well as one of the best. Their crab Rangoon pizza is a must try. Their current pizza of the month (pink ribbon; alfredo and red sauce topped with 3 cheeses, chicken, and bacon) should be a regular menu item. Good local beer selection. We Ordered 2 Pizzas and Waffle Fries. Pizzas were good, a little greasy. However the waffle fries we ordered were hard and stale. We attempted to soften them up and add some salt, but that couldn't save them. Would give it another shot, tonight just wasn't the night. read more

First - Pizza was delicious. I won't be back due to the service. It was a slow lunch day (maybe 4 tables occupied) today and it took us 10 min to get our drinks/order. My group ordered two appetizers (cheese bread and mozzarella sticks) which took 40 minutes to come out. Then our pizza took 10 minutes on top of the appetizers. Thank goodness we asked for checks right when our pizza came out so it didn't take another 10 minutes after we finished eating. So it took us over an hour just to receive our food which makes it difficult to get back to work on time. Will not be back unless they pick up their game like the La Vista location. read more

One of my favorite pizza places in town! Love the Popeye-roni- it's topped with spinach, pepperoni, mushrooms and cream cheese. One slice is usually enough, unless you get two, then you get leftovers :) They have other items on the menu besides pizza, but haven't tried. Good service too! read more

We had our sons graduation party here this afternoon. The party room was booked so we opted for another cozy area of the bar. Great food great service. Very accommodating but never in the way. We'd been to other parties at this venue before which is why we were willing to have our party here even though the party room wasn't available. I stopped in for pizza this afternoon, clean nicely run location but I haven't been to the other Pizzawest to compare. I ordered garlic cheesy breadsticks ( delicious) and a carnivore medium pizza which really was excellent. lots of leftovers. the crust is nice- good amount of toppings and everything is very tasty and freshmade. the place itself is nice sized with plenty of tables for groups. the parking in front is closeby. staff friendly and efficient. its in the same building as Dolce and Kolache Factory. check it out. read more

The food here is always good. However, the staff tonight was horrible. Tonight when we walked in we weren't even all in the door and the young girl working was across the restaurant yelling because someone in our party had not pulled their mask up yet. The person was not even all the way in the door. We were no where near anyone but ourselves. She continued to be abrupt and rude. Just very nasty. I suggested we leave and go elsewhere but we had a few others coming to meet us that were short on time. The gentleman that took our order was very polite. Our food came in good time and was very good. When the other people in our group came in they went to walk to our table which was less than 5 ft from the door, she yelled at them as well. No one else was on our side of the restaurant. There was 1 other family dining there on the opposite side of the room. Again, we were over at least 20 feet from anyone. She then proceeded to talk about us to her coworkers. She was talking and pointing. Opinions in face mask policies aside, mandate states, required if you can not social distance of at least 6 ft. We each literally walked 5 ft to our table where we could then remove our mask. Logically ridiculous. I should add 2 of us have been in the medical field greater than 25 years. We are fully aware of how this works. We do it daily. The ignorance, extremely unprofessional and rude behavior of the maybe a 20yr old to paying customers has cost this business any future business from our families. I would suggest her future career not be in customer service type job. read more

Really enjoy this great restaurant! Staff is attentive, polite & check frequently on the food quality & keep drinks filled. Place is very clean & the pizza is delicious. Best part about the pizza is the crust-crunchy like cracker but not too thin. Very generous size house salad! Many kinds of pizza to choose from. Sunday dinner, greeted promptly, seated promptly, drinks delivered promptly. Onion rings are very good and served in a large portion. Popeyeroni pizza is really good. The Chicken Parm pizza is OK but needs more sauce and more parm. The sweet Sicilian sauce on the Chick/Parm pizza is very good but wish they would layer it on thicker. Good selection of tap and bottled beers. Will return soon to try a couple more pizzas. read more

Pizza was subpar at best. Garlic cheese breadsticks were like crackers with some melted mozzarella on them. 1 large pizza and order or cheese breadsticks for $30. Definitely not worth it. Choose another place. Frank's or don Carmelos is much better. read more

I ordered pizza using Grub Hub as my delivery service. 45 minutes after my scheduled delivery time, Pizza West called me to tell me that Grub Hub had just arrived and since my pizza was cold, they were remaking it so I received a good pizza. My new favorite pie in Omaha. I was once a fan of the V, but this pizza blows that away. Sauce, crust and all ingredients are high quality and flavorful. I've had 3 specialty pizzas, but my personal favorite is the Flyin' Hawaiian. I was NEVER a fan of pineapple on pizza, but this place does it up right with a tangy pineapple BBQ sauce, fresh pineapple, bacon, canadian bacon and freakin' CREAM CHEESE drops. It wasn't a terrible experience but also not the kind of experience I would expect on somewhere with that much planning in interior design. I ordered 3 slices that are the most popular according to my server. There were some issues with each that could be over looked on a busy day, however, I was the sole customer when I entered. The crust on all three slices was wimpy and not up to the task of supporting the average amount of topping they used. The worst of which (crab rangoon) had to be eaten with a knife and fork. The weak crust and in the case of another slice (taco) over use of sauces made for a sloppy experience which matched perfectly with the final offender (ghouda lookin). The thought of the promised toppings made me very excited , but in the end I had a mouthful of bacon and remnents of prepackaged onion rings. No other flavors to be found. The staff was wonderful however and from previous trips I do enjoy the wings. read more

I have went to the Pizza West in Lavista at least 25 times.It Last night We tried the Maple street location..The quality of food buffet etc was horrible..The Pizza was made so cheap it was mostly cheese not even sauce..Lavista please go show Maple street how you do it..The Owners would of been ashamed of last night's Maple street..Buffet ..Not the Pizza i have eaten at Lavista..And please teach them how to correctly make your blue cheese salad Dressing the worst 48 dollars i spent in years not to mention how I built up Pizza West..Go to the Lavista location worth the drive.. read more

I tried this place a month ago. Pizza is plentiful and tasty, service is kind of disorganized at the front counter. This week, I ordered a pizza for carryout. Got home - it had an ingredient on it to which I have a food intolerance. Called, asked for the pizza to be remade. Went and picked it up, got home - had that ingredient on it AGAIN, but more of it. Once is a mistake; twice is deliberate. Had my money refunded. Spoke to the manager; she didn't believe me. Since I can't trust PizzaWest to make a pizza without an ingredient that makes me sick, I won't go back there again. read more

The food is good. It really is. But be prepared to go through trouble to get it. I've been to each Pizza West location now, and frankly, the service is slow and painful, like a root canal only you get delicious pizza afterward. It makes me mad how bad their service is compared to how good the food is. They're also a touch overpriced in my opinion. I've literally never eaten a bad thing from there, but the Giles location was always super slow to deliver and God help the soul who wants to spend less than 90 minutes trying to get food inside of any of them. I get pizza takes some time to make but dang, guys. And the staff just kinda acts like they don't care. If your service was as good as your pizza, I'd probably marry you. read more

Ordered a couple of pizzas for pickup last night. Online ordering said it would be 45 minutes. Got there on time. Around a dozen people waiting, socially distanced. No one could tell who had been waited on and who was in line. Chaotic. After asking everyone in front of me their status I was able to get to the counter. The whole operation looked inept. Front staff continually going into the kitchen looking around. Kitchen staff collinding into each other, looking bewildered, pizza boxes flung everywhere, boxes falling on the floor. Kitchen staff continually reopening filled orders to see what they were. What a nightmare operation! After waiting an hour and fifteen minutes and several discussions with the staff during that wait still no pizza. In fact they still didn't know where my order was. Total time was two hours. I asked for my money back. They offered a gift card, but honestly I have no desire to patron Pizza Mess West again. Left after the two hours with no pizza. To top it off they had goofed up my order on the previous visit. read more

Had lunch there a couple weeks ago with a friend from out of town. Food was good, but nothing spectacular. Service was pretty poor. Very inattentive staff. Had a meal there tonight with drinks. Service was about the same. Server never came around after our initial order. Three different servers and the hostess walked by our table multiple times and never noticed our empty glasses. I had to grab a different server as she walked by to get drink refills. I was thinking it was taking a long time to get our pizza. She brought out our pizza immediately after bringing our drinks, so I am pretty sure it was sitting in the kitchen getting cold. She made some excuse that our server was busy with a bigger group. I guess you only get good service if you are in a big group? Pizza was good, but the crust was not crispy or real hot. After we were about 1/2 done with the meal; our original server finally stopped and asked how everything was. He never asked if we wanted more drinks or anything else. On our way out the door, the hostess couldn't look away from her cell phone long enough to acknowledge us or say thank you for our business. She gave us a quick glance and went back to her phone. This poor example service is a failure of the managers to properly train the staff and then look over them to see how they are doing. Until they get their act together, I will not recommend Pizza West. read more

We had been looking for a new place to get pizza in Omaha and Pizza West was suggested. We ordered it three times for pick up. We order simple pizzas-cheese and hamburger. The first time the pizza was excellent, great crust and toppings, even my picky son liked it. The second time we picked it up is was okay but a little overdone. The third time was a disaster and will keep us from going again. For the third time I did order it online versus calling, as I had done the previous 2 times. When I got it home it was completely inedible. I ordered it at 5:30 and wanted it done at 7:30. It looked and I'm sure it was cooked at 5:30 and sat until I picked it up. I did call and they said they would make new pizzas but I did not want to make the 30+ minute round trip to get new pizzas. She said the manager/owner would call me and has not done so. She said we would be getting gift certificates for a new pizza, which have not come, and I'm not expecting them. I should give it one star but because I did have decent pizza the first time I gave it 2 stars. read more
