We love coming to Caniglia's! We stopped in today for lunch and as always it was a great experience and the food was delicious. We tried the new Jalapeño Mac and Cheese bites and they were SO good! The staff here always makes sure that you have everything you need and the owner is always so nice. We watched him put together tables for a large family and even grabbed a high chair for them. Was very happy my mom suggested this new pizza place for dinner on 8.10.2024! We got there right at 5:15 and we were the only people in the restaurant! But by the time we were leaving around 7, very few tables inside and outside were empty, it filled up quick and they had a TON of takeout orders! Our cheese bread & pizza both came out super quick, hot and DELICIOUS! Our waitress played along with all our corny jokes and was super nice and helpful! I could have eaten 20 more pieces of that cheese bread, it was very plain/normal but delicious! The pizza was a Large CANIGLIA'S CLASSIC and we added hamburger for some meat. It was also delicious, hot, and had plenty for leftovers. Our first visit, it was excellent! We had the Sicilian pizza- great flavor of meats and yellow peppers, the crust is thin and crisp! I love thin and crispy, I didn't pay attention to weather there were options for crust types. They have a patio area too! The crew was very patient and gave good recommendations. If you speak Italian, you know what "a mano" means. If you don't, it means "my hand" so it only makes sense that this corner joint, be done with hands. Those pizza boxes though! No wait at all to be seated - at the bar or table top - and drink orders taken. Settled on water, and a half order of the Pizza Waffle and their Caniglia's Classic, medium. Pizza Waffle, although sounded damn good, it's cake like texture and density sort of ruined it for me. A more airy/fluffy waffle bake might improve it for me, anyways. It's served with syrup (ehhh) and marinara sauce (so good). The Caniglia's Classic Pizza, was very good. I was anticipating the bottom to be soggy with all the ingredients, plus olive oil base AND garlic parm drizzle - but hear ye HEAR YE! It's actually crunchy! A mix between cracker crunch and thin pizza crunch. Even while it sat, just waiting for me to break off another piece. But that crust though... the provolone melted nicely, the evenly portioned spinach (no one likes wilty, soggy, large spinach leaves), cozy tomato's, and mmmm minced - unburnt - garlic. Plenty of seating for their max capacity of 89, but their take out station was popping the entire time! We tend to split meals out, so just for the two of us, around $30; with left overs for tomorrow! Win-win! read more

This was the worst pizza I've eaten in years. The crust snapped like a hard pretzel rod. Like a hard crumb literally flew across the table haha. It was overcooked, hard and chewy, and the sauce has a strong tomato paste taste to it. It is double the price of a chain restaurant and worse quality than a frozen pizza. I saw the Facebook post from this business that they were having a tough time. So we decided to support them. That was our first mistake. We ordered via Door Dash. When I took my first bite of the pizza I knew it wasn't going to be good. The crust was either stale or had way too much flour in it. It was bad pizza but we were hungry. The dessert we ordered were literally ice cream sandwiches with chocolate sauce and caramel slopped all over. But, the worst part was the vomiting and diarrhea that came later. It was awful. Late dinner at Caniglias. Walked in the door and we were greeted right away. Within seconds our drink order was taken and the menu was explained. The menu is sparse, but gas apps, salads, sandwiches and of course pizza. We started with a large Sicilian Chef Salad with house ranch. The salad was fresh and tasty. The house ranch had and nice flavor blend but still allowing the ranch to come through. The owner(?) suggested the Sicilian Pizza when we asked for a recommendation. The crust was soft with a nice crisp bottom. The topping were abundant. We ordered the medium and still took 3 pieces home. The prices compared to the amount of food was definitely affordable. The staff was extremely attentive. Was our first visit, but won't be our last. If I had one complaint, please put some sound absorbing material in the dining area. The open dining and high ceilings made it noisy. There were two large parties and the noise was the reason I wouldn't rate as a five. read more

Caniglia's a Mano is a true hidden gem that I was shown by my aunt thankfully! Wow their pizza was so good!!! They had tons of specialty pizza options so our whole group of 9 found something they loved! When we walked in, there was a sign saying to seat your self and that welcomed us in. It was a great place to catch up with my family and enjoy some really tasty food! It wasn't very busy around 6pm on a Wednesday, and I noticed lots of people getting to go rather than dining in. I chose to get the buffalo chicken pizza and the super alfredo. The buffalo chicken pizza had some kick to it! The super alfredo was my favorite of the two pizzas. I loved every topping on it and thought they went great together. We also got the oreo cookie craze and raspberry cheesecake. Both were so good! The cheesecake came with icecream with chocolate syrup. The oreo cookie craze was oreo cookie with vanilla ice cream between the layers with drizzle caramel on top. I started out with a house salad, with a vinaigrette dressing. I liked the way the salad was prepared, everything was nicely chopped. I ordered a pizza called " Tony's Favorite ", which I can now say is my favorite. All the flavors from the different ingredients melted together in perfect harmony. It was a joy to eat. Pizza is like sex, when it is really good, it's great. In my opinion there are three things that make a good pizza great, the crust, the sauce, and the toppings. Their crust is the best I've had in Omaha. I love left over pizza from the air fryer because the crust gets a little crisp. Caniglia's is like that when served. It has the right amount of crisp with out getting burnt. I've had both the white and the red sauce. The white is creamy and delicious, the red is fresh and a little tangy. The toppings are just the right amount. Some pizza places pile them on so the look good, that makes for a soggy pizza mostly. these pizzas are topped well and the right mix of cheese. I recommend the Tony's Favorite is a must order as well as the meat lovers. The staff is very friendly. There service is top notch. Highly recommend this place. Only con is they don't deliver yet. So much to talk about. First, let's get any negativity out of the way. It's so insignificant that it barely deserves mentioning, but I want you to be aware. The restaurant seating space is the smallest I've ever seen, which is really bad considering the quality of the food. I'd be surprised if they don't have daily issues with too many people wanting in. Five tables, each maxed at 4, giving a total of 20 customers total. Having said that, it would be my hope they will one day be able to expand the brand, as they certainly have the name that is legend in the Omaha area. OK, now on with the real reason for this review. We ordered cheese bread and a large pizza, meat lovers with some toppings taken off on each side. I've had a lot of restaurants and even pizza joints who couldn't get that kind of order right, but this one did. First the cheese bread. The other pictures you've seen on Yelp represent the true nature of these bread. It was very well done and the taste was amazing. Where 9/10 of restaurants drop the ball is on the sauce. The sauce sometimes just ruins the taste of cheese bread, but when a restaurant gets it right, the experience is amazing. Caniglia's a Mano has the perfect pairing of cheese bread and sauce. I found my self dunking large portions of the sauce for a small bite. It was literally that good. Next time, we're ordering double. It's better to take home leftovers than to not have enough. The pizza is made and baked almost directly in front of you. So when I saw the pizza come out, I almost panicked, concerned it looked mighty dark. I prefer my pizzas on the light side and a thicker dough. Neither of which gets representation here. My next impression was that it's just too thin. That said, I quickly shut my mouth when I tried it. Do NOT judge that book by it's cover. The pizza was not burnt, but it was near perfect. And the cracker thin crust is amazing. My only gripe, as a big guy, is that the large pizza size is on the smaller side for me, but you're not me, so for you, it might be perfect. Take a look at the picture's I'll include and decide for yourself. Overall on a scale of 1-10 with 1 being the worst experience you could have to 10 being a mouth-gasam (if there is such a word,) I'll give this an 8. An almost $30 pizza can be a little hard to grasp, but it is certainly one I would splurge on again. I might ask for a little lighter texture just for the sake of the crust, but that's my own personal taste. Another thing and I hazard to mention this, but sometimes when you eat as much carbs as I did, your tummy tends to impolitely ask you what you we're thinking? Not so. I finished my 2 cheese bread pieces and half of the pizza. And like they say in show biz, I was still wanting more. My big belly didn't feel bloated or stuffed, just happy. I credit that to the crust not containing a lot of unneeded breading. In fact, perhaps it being so thin made the pizza more healthy for me. See how I reached for those straws there?? I highly recommend you try this place. The name got my attention, as it stands for quality in the food business and this place makes good use of the brand. I was a fan of Caniglia's and I ordered at 10:30am on a Husker Saturday (for 11am pickup). Overall, I really enjoyed the pizza - it was a lighter crust relative to most pizza places in Omaha and it was not super doughy. I wouldn't quite call it a cracker crust either but definitely a thin crust pizza. Overall, I liked the ratio of sauce/toppings/cheese and I thought that there were some interesting combinations here. My favorite was the Sicilian, which had pepperoni, sausage and banana peppers. Absolutely hooked on these pizzas. The Sicilian converts newcomers on a regular basis and the Spicy BBQ Chicken is best in class. The crust is ... great. Somehow.
