I'm not usually a big fan of pizza but I am always down for Curry on Crust. They have a unique take on pizza that your taste buds will appreciate. Food: I've tried the chicken tikka (pictured) and chili chicken, and both are very delicious. Generous on toppings and not greasy like most pizzas. For those not use to spices, I wouldn't let that deter you from trying these pizzas as the Indian flavors are not overwhelming. Very affordable ($10 for 10" which is enough for one meal for my boyfriend and I, or $17 for 14") Location: the place isn't very large. Mmmmmm tasty. I am not huge into pizza as a general rule but this place is one of my exceptions to the rule. Its totally fun fusion. The chilli chicken pizza is quite delish. The garlic definitely makes its presence known which adds to the complex spice. Really dances across the tongue. I liked the texture too. My friend is veg only and went with the aloo gobi. Hmmmm, not really working for me in the same way. It was ok but nothing I need to have again. Just too much and yet oddly not enough. Sorry for the description but that is really how I felt, texture odd, flavor just not as exciting as the other choice and therefore disappointing. Ya know, the paneer pizza and masala potatoes were pretty fantastic, but I couldn't realize that until I got home and into air conditioning because inside this tiny restaurant, it was literally hotter than f*cking Bombay. At Neehee's, there was also this dud working who was super friendly and helpful and really knew the menu, but at CoC (oooh, dirty pronunciation alert!) the ladies behind the counter just didn't have the same touch. They were kind of hiding out in back and you had to go up and ring this stupid annoying bell that made you feel like a jerk off whenever you wanted to order or had a question. When I asked about the number of things on their menu as far as popularity and what they thought was the best thing on the menu, I kind of got a lackadaisical response and she basically just read the menu to me instead of giving any suggestion which only fueled my monster heat exhaustion more. We ended up doing the Masala Potato Wedges as a side and they on f*cking fire and fantastic. Sure, I was sweating my balls off already because Canton, Michigan has pretty much no shade in the entire town and on top of that it seems like someone just came in to blacktop everything to torture you and make it as hot as f*cking possible everywhere. People of Canton, you live in an oven and your town is killing me.How do you do it? Lizard people? Are you guys lizard people? Because that's the only reasonable explanation I can come up with. ... anyway, get those masala potato wedges. And try to ignore my crazy rant... I'm having flashbacks to cooking in my own skin while sitting in CoC. For pizza we got the spicy veggie pizza that was just okay. It wasn't that out of the ordinary and honestly not too memorable or spicy. Just tasted kinda like a regular old veggie pizza so I was a bit disappointed since this was one of the items the counter girl recommended as her fave after it was like pulling teeth to get a suggestion out of her. Maybe I would've thought it was better if it were my first time eating pizza, but my days of pizza virginity are loooong gone and it's gonna something a little more kinky to satisfy this pizza ho. Our next pie was the Chilli Paneer Pizza, I believe, and let me tell ya, that was really something. The only thing better than getting a paneer pizza from Curry on Crust is getting a Paneer Pizza from Curry on Crust and taking it to the comfort of my own hyper air-conditioned home and eating it. I would drive back to Michigan to for this, for sure... but then I'd probably sit in my car and eat it because the conditions inside here were barely fit for a demon. I found this place by plugging random combinations of terms into yelp's search engine. When this place popped up and was highly rated, it intrigued me, because I have eaten pizza. I have eaten Indian food. I have never had Indian pizza before, but the concept sounded awesome. So, when National Pizza Day popped up this weekend, and my wife had had a really hard day, naturally, I drug her off to try this place out knowing that the place had to be great. My wife on the other hand whom loves pizza and Indian food was a skeptic, because she was having difficulty conceptualizing the whole Indian pizza thing. This place and its staff did not disappoint me. You come in the door and the place is small, but clean and organized. The guy who took our order was polite, friendly, professional and very personable. The food came out very quickly despite there being take out orders and lots of diners inside. We ordered the Butter Chicken Pizza and the Chilli Chicken Pizza; so, we would have enough to eat some of it there and be able to take some of it home. My wife took one bite of the Chilli Chicken Pizza and declared that we were coming back, because the pizza was awesome. Truly. Both pizzas were really good. Both of them had great depth of flavor to them, because they had layers of flavor to them. The Chicken Chilli Pizza might have been a bit on the hot and spicy side, but there was a complexity to the flavor. The overall flavor profile had more than one note to it in terms of heat and spice. And the Butter Chicken Pizza had a really nice combination of butter flavor mixed with spicy heat. As my wife declared, we will be back. She is already studying the menu and planning out what she will try next. Both the friendliness of the place and the awesome greatness of the food has won some fans. I really liked Curry on Crust more than I thought I would. Being vegan, it's really hard to find vegan pizza, but the fact that they had vegan options was worth checking out. My family and I ordered two pizzas: the Aaloo Gobi and the Aaloo Methi. The flavors were great, different from what you would expect from a pizza, but in a good way, with definite Indian flavor and it works! Unfortunately the sauces on the pizza were a little spicy for the children, so the owner accommodated by bringing out vegan cheese breadsticks. The owner and cashier were very friendly and accommodating! I was impressed and felt secure that the owner/manager himself was also vegan and he shared with me his favorites. We would definitely like to come again and try other pizzas on the menu. But the pizzas were good portion, good size, the dough was good thickness, the flavors were amazing. Whenever I get curry, I always order flatbread anyway - this just cuts out the middleman (or, in this case, bread). Really delicious fusion of Italian and Indian cuisine! I brought home the Chicken Tikka Pizza, Malai Paneer Pizza (cheese), and Pav Bhaji Pizza (veggie) and they all tasted authentically Indian (if not a little too similar to each other). The interior is small but very clean and quiet and is not really designed to be an dine-in restaurant, it's a take out place. Side note: I used to frequent this place when it was called Dhaba and served typical Indian dishes. I actually miss Dhaba and wish they hadn't closed even though I really like Curry on Crust now too. The owner/manager is very friendly and explained to me why they closed Dhaba (not enough space to accommodate the increasing number of diners that wanted to dine-in). As my first meal in Michigan while I was visiting AA and UMich, my friends and I made the drive to this interesting mom and pop restaurant. We called to order before coming in and the pizzas were ready by the time we got there. We ordered 4 smalls, all different flavors and toppings. My favorite was mango chicken pizza because it wasn't as spicy as the other and I thought it was pretty flavorful. We also go garlic chicken, paneer tikka pizza, and tikka chicken. Honestly, I can't really differentiate the last two types, they have a slightly difference but from the looks, they both looked very similar. They don't offer water since they only have tap water so we bought a bottle of orange soda and ate there. Between 4 people, we still had 1.5 pizza leftover. After 2 slices, I was pretty full! It is an interesting twist to pizza but it did get a bit overload of curry flavored and dough. This would definitely be a good thing to have at parties! read more

We got takeout a few days ago and it was good. I don't know what anything was called and I struggle to describe this style of food, but we got a mix of items. There is so much on the menu I could try this place out several times. It was an interesting experience for sure. There was a veggie pastry that had a lot of flavor, green filling, and a very flaky outside. They were a bit larger than I expected a d half of one is a good serving. We also tried some bright red wet wings that had some heat and some dry red wings. Both of these were great and I'd order them again. The seasoned potato wedges were really tasty with tons of flavor and a bit of heat, and the same goes for the chili garlic bread: I recommend both. Even my 4 year old liked the garlic bread, but had to pull the chilis off. We also tried two specialty pizzas, which were good, but I preferred the random items we ordered. MENU- Pizza, pizza pizza. They also had appetizers such as vegetarian puffs, chicken wings, and bread sticks. Sure these apps had "Indian" flavor, but you might as well walk down a a few stores and get Nee Hees if you want an appetizer. They divided up the pizza into vegetarian, paneer (type of cheese), and chicken specialties. The specialties looked appetizing, ranging form butter chicken pizza, to tikka masala pizza and even Aloo Ghobi pizza. FOOD- My friends and I tried the chaatpatta veggie crunch pizza and the chicken tikka pizza. The chatpatta came with a makhni sauce, while the chicken tikka pizza had, you guessed it, tikka sauce. We had a coupon to try free veggie pastries which were pretty tasty. Basically phyllo dough with a curried potato inside. We certainly enjoyed them. The pizza had a nice amount of spice to them, and surprisingly, I enjoyed the chatt patta pizza more than the chicken tikka. The chicken tikka was good, and my friend REALLY enjoyed it. They only have pepsi products (LAME) and like I said, you gotta buy your drinks because they do not offer water. We bought a 2-liter of Pepsi to help wash down the pizza. My wife suggested we try this knowing how much I enjoy Indian food and that we haven't been able to have any in quite awhile. I ordered a custom pizza and it hands down was one of the best pizza's I've ever had. Even if I don't account for the wonderful ingredients and flavor the pizza was perfectly created with the right amount of toppings and cheese. I ate the whole thing and didn't even feel bad about it. I also ordered the veggie puff appetizers. They were excellent as well, kind of like a samosa but super light and not at all greasy. The filling was very tasty. Add to this that my wife has a serious nut allergy and they were more than happy to cook her pizza ensuring us of the nut-free selections and that it was prepared separate from the other nut dishes. Chatpata Veg Pizza is my favorite! Unique toppings and sauces that you won't find anywhere else around, you can make your own or choose from on of their many specialty pizzas. A delicious way to enjoy Indian cuisine. Many of their veggie pizzas can be prepared vegan on request. We ordered the Hari Mirch and the Gobi Manchurian with vegan cheese. Each pizza had super-fresh toppings and the pizzas were packed with so much flavor! Normally I'm not a fan of Daiya but it wasn't horrible on their pizza, either because they didn't go overboard with its use or because everything else on the pizzas was so darn good it drowned the Daiya out. My friend and I were looking for a place to grab a quick bite. We decided to stop here since Neehee's was closed. It is a very small restaurant with a few tables. Lots of people were ordering carryout. The menu is basically an Indian twist on pizza. You can create your own or order some of the ones they have like paneer pizza, aloo gobi pizza, butter chicken pizza, and more. There are also classic sides you can order like breadsticks and garlic bread or you can get fancy with some masala potato wedges, veggie puffs, or masala chicken wings. We ordered a large chicken tikka pizza. The only downside (and it may have been an off day) is that on a 90 degree day, there was barely any air conditioning blasting inside. So..we were definitely sweating while trying to eat a fresh, hot, slightly spicy pizza, which ruined the experience a bit because all we could think of was getting back to the car for some A/C.
