Pizza that's missing the one topping that I added
Minu A.

How do you mess up a pizza ? I added on one topping (banana peppers) and it came in DoorDash in a cooled down temperature. Upon picking up the box at the door, the lack of temperature bothered me but I decided to ignore it and heat in the microwave. But just as I open the box, the one topping I added on is not there. I still tried the pizza even though I lost all my interest for it at this point and it was greasy and not that good. Then I tried the cheese sticks and it was not bad -just standard. The ranch however tasted like hidden valley. I would rather stick to jets !

14 inch Pineapple Pizza

LOVE THESE PEOPLE! I was their first customer of the day, was working in the area and waited for them to open at 2pm which seemed pretty late in the day to be honest, thought that was weird. They have this HUGE 24' inch pizza classic football pizza to share! I ordered a large pineapple pizza (my favorite). It was really doughy, I don't like when pizza's taste like that, BUT!!! I was the first order of the day and the ovens just turned on and had I ordered the same pizza later in the day it wouldn't have tasted as doughy. Didn't have a flip so that's good. I added 2 pounds of chicken on top of my pizza, because that's kinda my thing. Which def made the pizza taste better. Without it I probably would have thrown it away. Barely any pineapple and the cheese was falling off the pizza. The sauce was basic. Everything about it was basic. It tasted dry. But I will be back at some point if I'm in the area to get a deep dish and see what that tastes like. The staff and owner are really good kind cool people. Support this local business they deserve it. I just have high standards for my food. 6.2/10 stars. Much Love, -Zach

Lasagna and cheesy bread.

Took advantage of the Sunday lasagna special w/ cheesy bread for $9.32. It wasn't great, but it was pretty good for the price and I'll get two meals out of it. Extra dipping sauce was included and the portions were generous. The bowl of mixed sautéed organic vegetables was my contribution to act like a responsible diner.

Greek Salad

Delicious deep dish pizza at Taormina's!! My mom has been raving about the pizza here so we decided to get take out today for lunch during my last weekend visiting Michigan. We got the super deluxe 12x12 deep dish and a Greek salad. The super deluxe is basically a supreme pizza on steroids. Pepperoni, ground beef, Italian sausage, bacon, ham, onion, green pepper, mushroom, black olive, banana peppers... a smorgasbord of deliciousness topped on a deep loaf of dough, sauce, and cheese. The pizza took about 25 minutes or so to bake and came out looking like perfection! The size is pretty large and comes out to 12 pieces total. Definitely looking forward to having some yummy leftovers! The Greek salad was standard- iceberg lettuce, onion, green peppers, black olives, tomato slices, beets, pepperoncini and crumbled feta. Nothing extraordinary but the veggies were super fresh which is always a plus and the Greek dressing was tasty. The customer service was wonderful too. The lady who assisted at the register and took our order was very helpful and friendly! Highly recommend Toarmina's if you're craving pizza in Canton/Plymouth!

All meat pizza

I recently purchased a Groupon for Toarmina's. Despite living in Canton for close to 7 years, tonight was our try trying Toarmina's. We were impressed! I ended up purchasing a Deluxe thin crust and an all meat thin crust. They were large, and tasty! My only regret was that I didn't take them up on the flavored crust option. I appreciate they have a little something for everyone (Vegan, low carb, halal). They have more than pizza! They offer plenty of appetizers, subs, salads, pasta, wings and desserts. I wish we hadn't waited so long to try this location. We will be sure to try again in the near future!

Vegan cheese bread

Not many places have vegan pizza options, but Toarmina's does, so I had to check them out! Overall decent, but a bit bland. They even had a cheese bread option, but it needed some serious garlic and vegan butter/olive oil, as it too was a bit lackluster and dry. I love that they have the options, but it needs a bit of work.

Three items 16in pizza. Cup pepperoni, onions and green peppers.

A humble facade hides a culinary arsenal that far surpasses its straightforward name. My culinary expedition began with the calzone, which I must anoint as the crown jewel of the evening. Stuffed like a noble's purse and baked to a golden, rustic finish, it was a magnificent, doughy vessel of molten cheese and savory bliss. One bite, and I briefly contemplated leaving behind my earthly possessions and pledging loyalty to this calzone alone. The cheese sticks offered no such room for critique. They arrived with unapologetic thickness, each baton of mozzarella-laden comfort daring me to stop at one. I did not. Paired with dipping sauces like marinara and ranch, they hummed a simple, nostalgic tune -- an edible lullaby for the weary on this late spring evening. The Hawaiian pizza was a close confidant to the throne. Brimming with fresh ingredients -- each pineapple glistening like a gem in a sea of cheese, each slice of ham a silken ribbon of salt and satisfaction *chef's kiss* -- it was a testament to Pizza Place's commitment to quality. However, the crust itself was, dare I say, the weak link: a bit too tame, lacking that cheeky flourish or flavorful snap that would have elevated it from "good" to "sonnet-worthy." And just when I thought the evening had reached its end, along came the cinnamon sticks -- soft, sugary, and shamelessly indulgent. Each bite was like a powdered-sugar-dusted curtain call that made the meal feel complete. A dessert not of restraint, but of victory! To top it all off, I had the pleasure of meeting Jacob, the owner, whose patience, warmth, and genuine hospitality elevated the entire experience. It turns out this location has only been open for one month to the day -- though judging by the food, you'd think he'd been slinging pies since birth. A new venture, yes -- but already rooted in passion and promise. Would I return? In a heartbeat. Because once you find Pizza Place, you realize you were only ever searching for it all along.

You're the only Italian place I love in Canton. If anything knock out another wall next door and make the place bigger you always seem to do such great business there and always busy we are there. All of the other Italian restaurants in Canton don't even come close to your food! Thank you for such excellent food! We will always eat here! If any of you get a break you should try Roma's in Southgate, Michigan their food is pretty close to yours.

In essence, if you've had one pizza from the Big Three, you'll find they are they are very much alike. Growing up in the 1970s into 1990s, independent Mom and Pop restaurants served the best pizza you have ever tasted. Sadly, most of them have faded away over the years, but Maria's in Canton has real staying power and have been in business for over four decades. The owners of Maria's firmly believe in giving their customers the best service possible. They treat you more like family than just a number. They have always been one to think outside the box when it comes creating new and exciting products. Today, my coworkers and I enjoyed one of their truly unique concepts that was very delightful. No other restaurant that I know of, has ever offered a Thanksgiving themed pizza before. However, some creative genius who works in kitchen at Maria's let their mind run wild, and you end up with pizza that has a bread like crust, mashed potatoes for a base, then all the fixings like turkey, dressing and light cheese. To top it off, you can add gravy like I did, or cranberry sauce. If you ever have the chance, the interior at Maria's is rather interesting. You have a wide variety of liquor to choose from, and a whole lot more than pizza on the menu to choose from. Next time, I want to try their catfish.

However what was odd is that we decided to order a Hawaiian, not thinking to check the ingredients (Hawaiian is the same everywhere!) and it wound up coming with BBQ sauce instead of marinara!!! The weirdest thing. I can't give them a bad review because of that- it was our mistake for not reading the description on the menu, but the pizza was alright. Not super stellar. This location is takeout-only, with no dine-in space. The pizzas were fresh and full of flavor, though I felt they would have been even better if eaten immediately while piping hot. I still remember my first Buddy's experience at another branch, the pizza was straight-out-of-the-oven hot, and that made a big difference. I had previously ordered a version with dill leaves, which was absolutely worth it and something I missed this time. That said, the flavors were still bold and satisfying, every bite packed with seasoning and richness. Buddy's is definitely more expensive than regular pizza, but the portion size and quality make it worth it. It's the kind of pizza that fills your mouth with flavor and keeps all your senses engaged. Parking is shared with nearby stores, and the location is convenient right off busy Ford Road, next to Lucas and a new halal spot. Overall, a solid Buddy's experience with great flavor and reliable pickup, just missing that fresh-from-the-oven heat that takes it to the next level.
