I was super disappointed in this chicken place. I love broasted chicken. Unfortunately, I did not find broasted brothers to be good at all. I tried several things on the menu and I have to say I wasn't wowed by anything. I felt the food was very bland, and actually overcooked. And considering I spent like $70 on dinner for the family, I expected it to be decent. Frankly we threw most of it out. I think the worst part of the experience for me, however, was meeting with the owner. To say he was not friendly, is an absolute understatement. I found him to be downright rude. I'm giving it 2 stars because it's not the worst dining experience I've ever had, but it was not good, and I was very disappointed with my interaction with the owner. I won't be back. read more

I've been to Broasted Brothers in Plymouth twice, in March 2022 and January 2023. My first experience was decent, but it's gone downhill in terms of service and food quality since then. I ordered takeout and realized when I got home that I was missing a side and a piece of chicken. I was given an extra chicken breast for having to return to the restaurant. The chicken breast was, unfortunately, tough and burnt. The biscuit and sides are plain and tasteless. Plymouth has quite a few chicken places, and the ones I've tried thus far aren't good. The same goes for Lee's down the street, even though there is always a long line. I get better comfort food in working-class neighborhoods. Plymouth is becoming too upscale to get this kind of food right. read more

The gluten free fried chicken is amazing. My family has three people with celiac in it, and wow were they happy when we found this place! Great gluten free chicken, and the regular is the best I've had in Michigan. The fries are great, huge and dark brown and so tasty. Awesome shakes too, and lots of dipping sauces for the chicken. I've also really enjoyed the biscuits and green beans. Yes, green beans, they're cooked in all sorts of fatty goodness and I love them. Gluten free broasted chicken - OMG!! This is the best broasted chicken anywhere. And my husband loves the broasted potatos. And the cole slaw is perfect - so crunchy and tangy! We have been craving fried chicken for the last few days. I recently learned that this business existed and was curious to try something different since it wasn't too far from us. I placed a pick up order, which thankfully was ready way before they estimated. For our meal we got the 8-piece dinner that came with 2 sides and 4 biscuits. We requested the potato wedges and the Mac & Cheese for our sides. After getting home and settling our son down, we were pleased with the way things turned out for the most part. However, our dinner was not perfect and I'll start off with the bad. First off, the Mac & Cheese was not good. I would've given it a 3/5 had they seasoned it, but due to the lack of flavor and unappetizing texture of the cheese sauce I had to take it down one more notch. The potato wedges were absolutely delicious, but just a bit too salty. The fried chicken was definitely the best part of the meal and had a good balance of crunchy skin and juicy meat. The biscuits were also very good, especially with melted butter. For our sauces we got ranch, boom boom (spicy mayo based sauce) and golden BBQ. I enjoyed all of the sauces, but I didn't feel like they were unique or really stood out from similar establishments. Despite any shortcomings, definitely worth the $30 read more

I spied the restaurant as I rushed into Busch's to grab a snack. Did I misread or is there truly a place for broasted chicken within easy driving distance from home? How did I ever miss it? A few short minutes later, I was through the door. According to the posted sign, the chicken is cooked to order so I knew a wait was in order. That was okay as there was comfy seating by the order counter and the friendly and helpful staff let me know that it would take 9 minutes. He also periodically counted down the time, which I appreciated. The digital menu listed the typical offerings: chicken tenders, wings, chicken and waffles, and of course, broasted chicken. I had to have the latter, of course. 3 pieces, thighs, please. Because I also wanted the coleslaw, I ordered the meal option, which typically comes with cornbread. I have to say that the chicken was fantastic, even though I opted not to have the crispy skin (no carbs!) This was my second experience. I am always looking for gluten free and this hits the mark! Ordered fried chicken sandwich with buffalo sauce on the side and the wedge potatoes. The chicken was crispy and juicy and so good! Real chicken, super fresh. My family got regular non gf food and were also super impressed with their food. I have never been to a Broasted Brothers restaurant before and seen the grand opening in Livonia on 5 mile Rd. This is my first and LAST time going here. When you first walk in the overwhelming smell of oil should have been my first clue, second after ordering and sitting down all the napkin holders were absolutely nasty for not having any customers in there, I would think instead of standing around, they would at least clean a bit. Third the food was so bland, greasy and dry ( chicken tenders) I couldn't even hardly eat them, had to pick the outside breading off, the gravy was like jelly had to take it off the mashed potatoes. I love this place and go a few times a month at least it's about 25 minutes from my house but it's right off the expressway so it's easy on and easy off. I was shocked at how good the sides were because I read the reviews and they were mixed about the sides. The slaw was creamy and flavorful, potato salad was tangy and fresh, the Mac and cheese was very cheesy and the green beans were pretty good as well (I added a little salt). The biscuits were also flaky and a bit hit. The minuses were the sides. We got the mashed potatoes and gravy and I could tell that the potatoes weren't real. Instant potatoes for sure which is so disappointing. Not great tasting and the gravy was thick and didn't help the flavor of the potatoes. They were out of the warm Fuji apples that were wanted to try which actually sounded really good. The baked beans weren't loved either. Could've used more bbq flavor or something. Having dinner with family again here at Broasted Brothers. WOW! What a wonderful surprise as we walked in and were greeted by the employees. This always makes for a better experience. Of course I had the 2 piece thigh meal with broasted potatoes. The chicken and potatoes are so tasteful and the biscuits so soft and fresh. Don't forget to check in and earn rewards. I was the first customer to use my reward which was a coke. While we were eating the cook Willy came out and offered us a piece of the waffle chicken he had just made. Both came with excellent dipping sauces-the best was blue cheese, but honey mustard was a close second. We got three sides potato wedges. coleslaw and fugi apples. The coleslaw was sensational, the potatos were good when dipped (so get some extra dipping sauces) and the apples were just so -so). The curb side pickup was very safe.
