The husband and I like to get pizza everywhere we travel because....... it's good..... and it tends to be different in different countries, which is interesting. Oh, and we figure locals are more likely to eat a variety of foods and not just 'Spanish' or whatever foods all of the time, but I digress.
We tried to go to a highly rated pizza place down the street in this neighborhood, but they were closed and said that they would be closed for 2 days..... that sounds familiar. We wandered around, hungry and hoping for pizza, when we stumbled upon this place. It looked cute and was fairly busy, so we decided to eat here. WARNING: this place does not let you share food... each person has to order their own plate. I have found this policy in many places in Europe, but I am not a fan... I can't eat a whole pizza myself and have nowhere to take leftovers... seems like a waste to me. Oh, and it's expensive.
Anyway, on to the food. The pizza here was pretty mediocre. It was very wet and got soggy in the middle. The crust was paper thin and didn't hold the toppings. The flavor was bland. We also got the lasagna (since we had to order 2 plates) and this was surprisingly good! Much more flavorful than the pizza. I would possibly come here for lasagna, but the pizza just didn't measure up. Also, for these two dishes and two beers it was over 30 euro..... yikes. We could have gotten way more delicious food for this price, even in the touristy area of town. Needless to say, I would pass. read more
