This company provided an appraisal of $68,370 to complete the siding, fascia, and gutters on my home. The company informed me that in order to install vertical siding, they would need to install nailers. I questioned the necessity of the nailers because my home already had T1-11 wood siding, which I believed could serve as the nailer. The company informed me that they could not use the existing wood siding and they further explained that installing nailers would require packing out the windows to account for the additional thickness. Based on this explanation of the additional work required, I agreed to move forward with the project at a cost of $68,370. However, when the project was completed, they did not install nailers and instead used my existing wood siding. Despite not performing the additional work that was the basis for the price, they are still requiring me to pay the full $68,370. I only agreed to the cost based on the additional work they claimed was necessary. Since that work was not performed, I believe the total price should be adjusted accordingly. When they quoted me for the gutters, I informed them that I just had the gutters replaced 5 years ago and had oversized gutters installed. They stated that they would replace the gutters with the exact same size just in the color to match my new siding. However, they installed smaller gutter and their gutter system does not function properly, like the ones they replaced did. When it rains, water flows over the guards instead of through the gutter system which causes the water to drain directly into my yard. This has resulted the water to enter my basement. In addition, the fascia they installed is visibly wavy and warped. The workmanship is poor, and the finished product is unacceptable. The fascia significantly takes away from the appearance and quality of my home. I was able to speak to the salesperson that I initially worked with. He mentioned that our initial meeting -- when he provided the quote -- was recorded. He stated that he reviewed the recording to determine whether nailers or oversized gutters were discussed. He claims that there was no mention of nailers or oversized gutters in that conversation. However, I clearly recall discussing the use of my existing T1-11 siding as a potential nailer and informing him that my home has oversized gutters. I was never made aware that the meeting was being recorded. If the conversation was in fact recorded, I believe I should have access to that recording. Despite my request, the company has refused to provide a copy. The customer service I have experienced with this company has been extremely frustrating and unprofessional. In order to reach the salesperson who originally quoted my project, I have to contact the superintendent who handled the job and ask him to relay a message. There is no direct line of communication. I am also unable to reply directly to the emails they send, which further limits communication. Each time the salesperson contacts me, he calls my landline despite my repeated requests that he contact me on my cell phone. If I am not home, I cannot return his call because he does not provide a direct phone number. As a result, I am forced to contact the superintendent again and repeat the process. Do not use PJ Fitzpatrick for your home remodeling project. This has been an absolute nightmare, and I would not want another homeowner to go through what my husband and I are dealing with right now. On May 20th, we hired them for a simple shower remodel. At first, everything looked fine and we believed the work had been done properly. Unfortunately, we later discovered the installer had damaged the drain during installation. Because we did not use the shower for more than 24 hours, there were no immediate signs of a problem. We began using the shower on May 22nd through May 26th. Then on May 26th, my husband noticed a large bubble forming in our den ceiling along with water dripping from it. He immediately contacted the company to report the issue. A technician came out to inspect the damage and confirmed the leak was coming from the newly installed shower drain. As the photos show, our ceiling had to be torn open because of the damage caused during the installation. Today is May 28th, and we are still dealing with the aftermath. We were told technicians would come today to repair the drywall and ceiling. I even received an email confirming the appointment, but no arrival time was provided. By 12:03 p.m., no one had shown up, and I had to contact the supervisor myself for an update. After damaging our home, why should I have to chase someone down for answers? The supervisor told me they should arrive around 12 p.m., which clearly did not happen. I then received another call saying the technician was running behind and would "maybe" arrive between 1:00 and 1:30 p.m. At this point, I am simply warning other homeowners. The only positive thing I can say is the salespeople and installers show up on time .... that's a plus.... BUT... We liked their product AND made the biggest mistake of our lives.... we AGREED. We were told once we agreed with PJF on everything that they were busy and install time would be mid-May, possibly a little later. Fine by us...1 week later they "had an opening" and we could jump past ALL others on the list...OK...and should be finished in one day! The next morning the installer showed up on time and started the prep for installation. I should have known I was in trouble when the installer called me into the bathroom and asked exactly what I agreed on with his salespeople, he said that the paperwork he had was a little incomplete and some of it did not make sense. We hashed it out and he went to work. During one of my check-in's the installer said he was planning on being finished by 3 PM so he would not hit the traffic at the bridge/ tunnel on his way home. At 4 PM he was still here (He hit some tough plumbing issues supposedly ...not his fault.) I sensed he was trying to speed things up when he pulled out the glass doors and found out he had the wrong doors. Apparently, the packaging was marked wrong. I told him to stop right there, go home and come back the next day with the correct set of doors. (He wasn't sure they had a correct set of doors in the warehouse, but they did) He also had issues with the bull nose molding and needed another piece. He said he would be back the next day after 11 AM. Again, on time, he shows up for another 2 3 +/- hours hanging the doors and trying to make the molding fit an unusual cut that I have in my wall by the shower. I wish someone had told me that the molding they had wouldn't really do what it needed to do to cover what it needed to cover. What a mess. He did the best he could, but for what I am paying this product should look 200% better than it does. The caulking around the exterior is smeared. He tried to fix it but not so much. My 12-year-old granddaughter could have done a better job. He hung the shower fixture too high so my 5 ft 4 in wife could not reach the switch on top. He hung one of the grab bars too high for her. The bench he installed was full of caulking for no good reason; He left the drain cover and the glass door spacer off and did not tighten up the stops on the frame. The molding that he tried to cover the gap was at least 1/4 in short and other cracks were filled with caulking. The shower pan is soft and a little bouncy as well.... With everything on the outside, we physically see ...what does everything behind the scenes look like? After a few hours the installer told my wife he was complete and not move the shower doors for 24 hrs and he left. I came home after work and found the obvious errors we could see without moving the doors. At that point we are not happy. The next morning at 08:56 AM I called (no answer) then texted the girl (Tiffany) that was assigned as my "Production Coordinator" to tell her we were not happy and would like someone to give us a call to discuss. It was over 2 hours, and I had only received one text from I believe to be Tiffany at 10:02 AM and it states "Good morning, thank you for bringing this to our attention. I have sent your message to our production manager. Thank You" One-week later JPF sent out a minion to look at the installation, JORGE. By this time the wife is extremely pissed! What kind of customer service leaves an obviously pissed off customer waiting 1 week? Jorge agreed that the installation was bad. He then said he needed to go back and talk with his manager. That's been 8 weeks ago and still nothing...CRICKETS...I am now smelling mold in the bathroom coming from the caulking abortion around the bench.... there is a 1/ 4 + inch or bigger gap. Would not be supersized if it wasn't black mold.... No response from Jorge or his manager to date. I told Jorge in one of my texts to him that time does not make an extremely pissed off customer better. We told Jorge/Tiffany in a text that they needed to send someone here and remove this product and cancel our order.... With this type of customer service, I don't see them honoring any warranty.... I requested an estimate to replace an existing storm/screen door. The existing door could not handle outdoor elements very well so I was hoping to find something a bit more suitable. The technician arrived on time and was genuinely trying to make sure he could provide an estimate for an appropriate product. He contacted his sales manager and had him on speakerphone. He explained the situation to his manager and told him that the customer was there with him. Whoever it was he was speaking with abruptly cut him off and said "Just sell her a f***ing door, just sell her a f***ing door". Wow, talk about awkward! Had siding replaced and windows wrapped. PJ Fitzpatrick once was great and worth the extra money, not so much now. Had a dozen problems with install being rushed. Communication was poor, calls not returned not a good thing. The onsite supervision was poor, not the supervisors just the fact they are spread so thin they don't get to watch over the work as truly needed. So, the customer is at the mercy of the sub-contractor hired for the work. Took 45 days to get all repaired and job completed. Having used PJs on several big projects, this time was not happy at all. Well, the installers were prompt and ready to work. They did a phenomenal job of installing my siding, soffit and fascia! They stayed for almost 13 hours to complete the work. Downside...they were Hispanic (not that this was an issue) and broke my hydrangeas, a lawn ornament, and urinated in my driveway! I fully understand having to relieve oneself, but the company should at least provide facilities for the workers! Five-gallon buckets with toilet seats are available for on-site use if the company would spend $50. There is no need to urinate in the dumpster which then drains onto my property!!! The sales team were very professional and day of installation looked good even though they rescheduled us without letting me know the first arrangement was not happening. I was told it was because of a calendar issue. However, a few days after installation we were in our back yard and started finding nails. Then we looked all around the house and found new and old nails, warped pieces of metal. Very disappointing. The gutters looked good but the clean up was horrendous. I needed about 12 feet of 1" X 6" fascia covering after wind storm last year and was linked up with PJ's. I arranged for a "paid" estimate, creditable to the total cost. The "Professional" showed up in company truck, spent no more than 5 minutes on the ground, stated he had to go to the truck to complete the estimate and got in the truck. About 15 minutes later he gives me the estimate which was $750, which I turned down. He then charges me $75 for the estimate which I paid just to get him off my porch. This month, June, 2025 I purchased materials for $129 incl shipment from Illinois and after I determined I could not do the work myself I contacted a roofing company. The man said $125 the work was done in less than 30 minutes. So it looks to me that these PJ Fitzpatrick people combine an outrageous estimate fee $75, combine it with a more outrageous estimate estimate $750 and just drive around collecting estimate fees. By the way when PJ gave me the estimate he also told me that he did not have a tools on the truck so the work would need to be scheduled later. read more

One of my windows stopped staying up on its own because both metal balances broke. I could see the problem but couldn't figure out how to fix it myself. After being ghosted by a smaller company that I first set up an appointment with, I decided to call PJ Fitz. I contacted them on a Tuesday afternoon and by Thursday morning Brad Carroll showed up and instantly diagnosed the issue. He even explained the strategy for repair, which I never would have figured out on my own. While Brad did everything he was supposed to in order to get the necessary parts, there was a bit of confusion because they were "delivered to the wrong office" and it took a couple of follow-up calls from me for the staff to realize what happened. I ended up waiting about a week and a half longer than necessary because the items were sitting in an envelope and no one thought to figure out what they were for. If I hadn't been persistent in my follow-up, I may still be waiting for a call from them telling me my parts arrived! At any rate, once that was all sorted out Brad came back with Ernie K. to finish the fix. They were here for about a half hour and when they left my window was in perfect working order. PJ Fitzpatrick replaced 9 of my house windows on Friday. The installers did a good job and I have no complaints about that part. The next day, a Saturday, I discovered they had left 3 large filled contractor trash bags, unfastened, along with a large number of the old removed windows with assorted metal strips, screens and debris stacked up on the driveway against the garage. Partially blocked the entrance to my garage and the entrance to my neighbor's garage. (Our houses have a common garage wall and share the driveway.) My immediate call to Fitzpatrick resulted only in the statement that they couldn't pick up their trash until Monday. This is in violation of their contract that says the installers would clean up and remove all debris from the premises when work is completed. No mention that they'd do it 3 days later. It is now raining and all of bags now also contain rain. Also, the named Project Lead only showed up toward the end of the installation to ask me how I wanted to pay the balance, and then left. He should have been here at the end to see if everything was as it should be. If anyone has work done by Fitzpatrick I recommend withhold paying in full until you and the project lead or supervisor inspects that they've met all their obligations. read more
