My experience with Tycos was wonderful from start to finish and at every point along the way. The person answering the phone was quite pleasant and set me up with an appointment that day. There was no pressure to buy on the spot as I had experienced with other contractors. Once I decided to trust them with my roof, I submitted the contract and was contacted to set up a consultation with the project manager. The project manager called to confirm the appointment ahead of time and when he arrived, he was pleasant, knowledgeable, professional and extremely thorough. On the day my roof was being done, he was there and answered all my questions and addressed a concern I had about protecting my rose garden. The crew worked quickly and did a wonderful job in protecting my home and landscaping. All while doing a magnificent job on my roof. After the roof was completed, the project manager met with me to review the work and did a thorough inspection for quality control. From start to finish, this was an experience so positive, I will only call them when it is time to do my siding, windows and gutters. read more

I gave them money to start work on my home decided not to go with them for the contract is a 30% cancellation fee however this company charged me more than the 30% they decided to also charge me money off my deductible which I've never paid them so once I receive the money back from the insurance company for them they kept my extra $600. I was dealing with a gentleman named Ralph Eagan and he is not trustworthy as well. He is a liar also, do not trust this company with your work or your money. Great experience with Tycos. They replaced the shingles on the back side of our house built in 1823 with a beautiful metal roof to match the front tin roof. They also installed copper gutters and cedar siding on the dormers. It all came out beautiful. I received multiple bids for this project and Tycos' bid was very reasonable. The crew that came out was courteous, in Tycos' uniform and equipment, and always cleaned up after each day. They had to deal with multiple snow/ice storms and always made sure the roof was weather tight. I received frequent updates from the supervisor, and am very happy with my experience with Tycos. Horrible company to work with. Had them do a roof repair for a VERY minor roof leak with assurances that it had "solved" the problem. Barely six months later, leak appears again in exact same spot. Called them again and this time the repair person says it wasn't done right the first time and proceeds to change the underlayment and shingles (did not even get the color right!) in the area above the leak, saying that should take care of it. Paid for the service both times. Again, not even 6 months pass and again the leak appears in EXACT same spot, this time only bigger than the earlier ones. Called them again, but this time they are non-committal on repairs, refuse warranty coverage for repairs saying they NEVER offer it. And then cleverly attribute the issue to some other spot on the roof. Instead, they advise a full roof replacement (for a roof that is barely16 years old and perfectly fine otherwise) with a paltry discount taking into account the jobs done previously. This is a warning to customers. The company is dishonest, unfortunately. Both Bryan George and Vince Gregora lied on multiple occasions. The experience I had with Tycos was one of the worst that I have ever experienced with any firm. They wasted my time and never delivered. We recently suffered a storm related roof leakage. Tyco's came recommended by a co-worker but we did or "due diligence" and had 3 other contractors out to review our damage. Not only was Tycos the only company to offer to come out with an emergency tarp service (the next day), their extremely knowledgeable consultant was "insurance certified" and proved invaluable during the insurance process but they followed through in every aspect. I can't say enough about Joe, Jose, Tim, Cole and Christine and the rest of the team - they were simply awesome. The install crew arrived promptly and went beyond to stage and manage the removal. We interviewed three local roofing companies and they got the bid for being most reasonable as well as transparent about the products and methods they planned to use. Brian came out and ensured everything was done to spec and fully cleaned up after the job. Their crew kept an eye to the sky and made sure we had a tight roof over our heads before a major thunderstorm hit. Beautiful job. The person (David) that gave me the quote was professional and friendly. My project manager (George) was great. He made sure that everything was going the way I wanted. He too was professional and friendly. The crew that did the job was fantastic. Job was done right and looks very nice. They cleaned up at the end of every day and left nothing behind. Tycos replaced the gutters and drain pipes. The basic work was okay but the site management was very sloppy. I found dangerously sharp pieces of metal they had cut for the gutters in the lawn. I had a shelf on the sidling that was broken and knocked down. It was 3 ft below the gutter so well out of the work space. They did not fix it or let me know they broke it. There were many screws and metal pieces left on the ground. There was cardboard and a caulk gun left on the roof. I found two other tools on the ground. Based on this job I would not recommend them. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Just after the tornado, I saw TYCOS come to my neighbor's home. Our neighborhood was hit bad by the storm. While they were there, I asked them if they repaired roofs. I told them I already had shingles. They said they would do it after they were finished with my neighbor. They brought the ladder from my neighbor's house to my house, used the shingles I had. They said they would schedule me in the next couple days to finish. Two weeks later, Robbie returned on a rainy day. I gave him more shingles to finish the job and he was done in no time.
