Stay away! Hired to put in new windows & gutters. The work was so shoddy that I didn't make the final payment, so they are suing me. I went to court today. See my brand new faucet was sliced & the lawyer inferred that I might have done it & just blamed them, really? The lawyer asked if still worked -- like it was no big deal. The windows come out of the track. Their rep told the judge that *I* wasn't opening them properly. Going on 70, so I've opened my fair of windows & this has never happened. They are defective. They didn't fix the gutter properly, so came back. Still wasn't right. They sent subcontractors to fix the gutters --- unannounced. Do you see that beat-up truck? No lettering. You can't see the guys well but I did & I was not going to let them in my home. There is more to this saga but you get the idea. Additionally, I had remodeled my kitchen, new floor, new tub enclosure, all new ceramic on the floor in the bathroom & backsplash. Three different contractors & I had NO complaints whatsoever. They all did a great like & as I expected PJ Fitzpatrick to do. They did not. They are suing me for breach of contract. They said if I paid what I owe they will come in fix everything. I made it clear that after seeing the disgusting work they did the first time, I wouldn't trust them to come back to my home & I never will. So buyer beware. read more

I've spent $25,000 + with this company over the years, roof, windows, soffits, gutters etc, and I contract in March for a front door replacement. I was told 6-8 weeks which was no problem. Here it is 5 months later and nothing. I don't know what happened to this company but AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I have a small shower cabin (3'x3') installed from PJFitzpatrick. I decided to use their service although it is very expensive. I hoped that for that amount of money ($15500) I'll receive a quality service but that wasn't the case. It started from the same beginning. I had an appointment scheduled but nobody came that day. There was a "computer glitch" in the system. My appointment was rescheduled for another day. I was promised a one day installation. It wasn't true again. The installation took 2 days. Next day my wife try to take shower and all the water from the glass door was coming out. Also I saw that at the top part of the door's frame I can see inside the wall of the house. It wasn't sealed at all. 10 days after the installation a representative from the company came for the final inspection. We shared with him our concerns and showed him all the defects. He promised to take care for everything. One month later nobody from the company contacted us. I had a new shower installed in my master bath. I selected the herringbone white with brushed nickel and rainforest shower head. Brandon and Michael were the installers, and they were terrific. They kept me updated each step of the way and worked with me to make sure the placement of the shelves, seat and grab bars were exactly where I wanted them. They were patient with my questions. They did an excellent job cleaning up, you would never know that any construction took place. If this is an indication of the work and materials that P J Fitzpatrick uses, then they are five stars. read more

I called and made an appointment. I provided and confirmed all information on that call. The day before, while I was working, a call from an unknown number came in and a voicemail was left reminding me of my appointment. Cool, I already had it notated in 3 places. The message did not state that I had to call or they wouldn't show up for the appointment. Waited around on a Saturday morning for the 9am appointment. Called at 9:15 and was told they didn't show up because I didn't call them to confirm the details. I had on the initial call. They need to change their outgoing reminder call to, "Hi, you need to call us TODAY to confirm you still want your appointment TOMORROW, or we will not show." read more

One window had both sashes replaced and the tech confirmed ALL 9 of the other windows are defective, broken and require replacement. Doug I think his name was simply said, "this is a manufacturers issue becuase all of the windows are defective" and had Derrick from Cornerstone call me and it's been 5 months and NOTHING! Pj fitzpatrick refuses to honor THIER lifetime warranty and just pawns it off on the Manufacturer. I did not pay the Manufacturer almost $10,000. I knew I should have kicked them out of my house when I caught one of thier employees smoking a cigarette in my living room with my then 2 year old son watching TV. My wife came home and found multiple PJ Fitzpatrick box trucks parked all over the street. One was parked taking up 2 spaces. She politely asked multiple times for one of the workers to move his truck up. This guy asked my wife, " do you live around here", which she replied, "yes, I live right here", which he then replied while pointing, "here, you live here", which he repeated 3 times, each time my wife answers "yes". My wife even explained that she and I are handicap and it's hard for us to walk so we like to park in front of our house. He then says, "I'm working across the street, I didn't know there was designated parking spots". He then says rudely, "I'll move the truck.". As he walked to the truck, he said loudly, "This is bullshit". My wife was polite the entire time and asked a simple question / request. She came in and told me. I went and got pictures of the truck number, #207. License plate, Delaware C90054. I called the number on the truck and requested to speak to someone about this. After being put on hold, I was told Patrick will call me back, he is in charge of the crew. No call back. Seems customer service is not a priority here. After I got off the phone the wife noticed on our camera that the rude disrespectful guy was walking to his truck. I went back outside to take his picture so I can show his boss who it was, he had his back to me, so I said, " hey bud", hey turned and I got a face picture. He then gave me the middle finger. I politely told him, "I am waiting on his boss". He said, "I've already told him. He's here. I did move". End. This has given me so many reasons as why not to deal with this disrespectful company with any of my properties, that I actually am looking for quotes on. I'm attaching pictures. PJ Fitzpatrick installed windows with lifetime warranty. The windows cannot be open 1/4 and latched. We started process with the warranty department to resolve 1.5 years ago. I was promised they are working on it. On numerous occasions they have been out with incorrect parts. We have a seal broke on a window. They came out and measured window. Came back a month later with a different style window and put in my front of house. Finally frustrated with the entire warranty department of non resolved matters I called and was not pleasant. I asked to speak to owner Rick Stover and was denied. Warranty department said manager would call back. This has been about 3 weeks ago and haven't heard a word. I would have been able to accept they cannot repair security latches a year ago. This is very poor customer service. Management obviously has no clue what's going on either. The best part of our experience was the sales person and how well he sold the company and the product. We were okay with paying more than what we expected because the house was going to be tarped from the roof down to protect our landscaping and house. We were going to have a pre and post walk through and all of the areas that had what we were led to think was mold would be removed and replaced. We were told that someone would call us in about a week to schedule our work to be done. After a week and a half we hadn't heard anything so my wife called and was told for some reason it was stuck in sales and someone would call her the next day. We still hadn't heard anything so I called the next week and was told the same thing and we finally got it scheduled. The crew showed up at about 8 am on 5/24 and started working. At just after 12pm my wife was given the checklist and was told to complete it and give it to one of the guys when they were done. I got home at about 1pm and the house wasn't tarp and had never been tarped. There were tarps in the grass and debris on and off the tarp. When they finished at about 5pm I was asked for the checklist so he could give it to his boss. I did walk around and look at stuff but didn't really know what I was looking at. My wife paid the bill and sent the confirmation number to the project manager. The next day I was taking pictures when I noticed a bunch of dead spots in our grass where the shingles were laying in the grass. As I looked at the pictures I took I noticed that the seams of the drip edge were not flush which is one of the things that the sales person said was wrong with ours and is not the quality of work that PJ Fitzpatrick does. I asked my wife if anyone went into the attic to see which pieces of plywood needed to be replaced and she said no. When I went up into the attic there were still some of the plywood that had the black spots on it that we were made to believe could be mold. We reached out to project manager and he came out and looked at the drip edges and the dead spots in our yard. He said that they were never informed there were black spots on the plywood in the attic. I told him that we were not going to have them come out and redo the roof to remove the plywood that wasn't removed because my wife works from home and can not be on the phone with all of that noise going on again. We also can't have someone come in and treat the spots with chemicals because we have pets and can't leave the house. He said that he would reach out to us by the end of the next day to let us know when he could have someone come out and fix the drip edge. The next day was last Friday and we received a text message at 8:30pm and it said I was unable to schedule anything but I will reach out to you on Monday. Monday came around and we didn't hear anything. We did receive a message today saying they will be out tomorrow to fix the drip edge. We received a letter 2 weeks later stating we hadn't paid the final bill yet and when my wife called she was told that there must have been some miscommunication, we have the payment. I spoke with a manager and he did apologize and said that they would compensate us for the grass. He asked if I had a number in mind and i requested a refund of 18% and haven't heard anything back from him since. If you like poor communication and false promises us them. read more

They came out to put up our new roof. We did not get the walk through with the foreman that we were promised by our salesman, we did not get any coverage for our plants like we were promised by our salesman, then they put on the wrong roof. We called to get this fixed along with the RIPPLES in the front of the roof. They came back 3 days later and replaced the new roof with another new roof, but left the ripples. We waited weeks to get the clean up crew to get the nails out of my yard (and the gutter guards out of my neighbor's yard). Thank goodness my kids didn't step on any while they were playing. We had someone come out to discuss the ripples and more than a week later I get a phone call telling me there is nothing they can do because my house is old. This company sucks. read more

Very dissatisfied with this company. I purchased a storm door and an inside door. The storm door had problems from the beginning. When someone finally was able to come out to my home, they told me that in fact the door was defective. They ordered me a new door. Twice I took a day off and twice they cancelled. They refuse to come out on a Saturday when I am home. I am so disappointed with this company and would not recommend them. I intend to pursue this further. Actually, zero stars. This company advertises free estimates for various home improvements. I wanted an in-home estimate on replacing my bath area with a walk-in shower. I made an appointment for them to send someone over @ 1PM on 5/18/20. Nobody showed up. When I called them, they claimed that somehow the appointment had been cancelled. I never cancelled this appointment. They said they would reschedule me for the next day (5/19/20) @ 10AM. Once again, nobody showed up. This time when I called, they claimed they had "no record" of this appointment ever being scheduled. PJ Fitzpatrick is not interested in providing service for your home unless you're going to spend lots of $$$$. Many years ago they provided a quote with an up charge because I didn't meet their minimum for repairs. This was after I responded to their ad for a "special" roofing, siding or gutter repair. Now they cancel an in house estimate for replacement of two windows one hour before arrival because I don't meet their mandatory replacement of four windows. Ten minutes on the phone yesterday going through the two window replacement, setting up a time for the estimate, answering their endless questions and the day of the estimate they determine I don't meet the minimum for an estimate. I would suggest seeking estimates from a reputable company that doesn't discriminate based on the size of the project. read more

I contracted PJ Fitzpatrick to install rain gutter leaf guards. During the initial estamite discussions, it was agreed to that the current rain gutters on the house were satisfactory. However, the rain gutters would be examined for any damage, the gutter hangers checked for damage and replaced if needed, and the gutter trough cleaned of all debre by the crew before installation. On the day of installation the installers arrived 4 hours later than the scheduled time, no phone call that they would be late. They arrived at my house but did not notify me. I was inside my house when I noticed one man putting a latter up to the roof. The equipment truck parked in front of my house had no PJ Fitzpatrick identification. I noticed that they did not clean the gutter channels before installing the leaf guards. I asked about this and told there were no debre in the gutter channel. This left me unsure because I always found some debre and leaves inside the gutter channels during my spring and fall gutter cleaning. Later, during the instalation, the General Manager arrived and asked me if everything was satisfactory. I explained to him my cocerns. He gave me an explantion for the lack of communication between me and the crew and apologized for any confussion. Overall I give PJ Fitzpatrick an 80% satisfaction rating. My reason for this is it appears that what is agreeded to in the contract is not convayed to the installation crew. Nor did the crew check with me before starting work assuring we agreed on what work was to be performed. Work crew oversight needs to be improved before I would use this company again. read more

Had windows and doors installed. The manager of the crew Charlie was rude and we overheard him making crude and insulting remarks about us and my home to his co-workers. I could hear through an intercom. We never bothered them or got in the way. He had no idea of our personal circumstances. I figured he was just a grumpy old man. Really left me with a bad taste. This was not an employee of PJ Fitzpatrick but a subcontractor. I was told that all workers are employees. The workmanship was fair. The caulking was a bit sloppy. Can't comment on their quality of work and materials however their customer service in setting up initial estimates is absolutely horrible. Initial appointment was set up 3 weeks out, then they called and said they had earlier appointment so I agreed to it. But because I mentioned that I will not be there, will be out of state, but someone who lives there will be..they set up the consultation as a ZOOM meeting without letting me know that it will be so while on the call. So come my appointment day, I am waiting for someone to show up but only get an email saying it's time for my zoom meeting????!! Afterwards, I get a live call from another agent making sure I received the zoom link , and again I explained the situation in which she said she will call me back but kept me waiting for 30 mins and still I do not get a return call. I spent almost $20,000 for a new roof and within 2 days it leaked ruining my tile ceiling and warping my wood floor. They did come out and fix it and caused another leak which I kept calling about and finally a guy came out to inspect my new roof leak and never heard back from him. Called a month later when I realized I was blown off and they came out and fixed my 2nd leak. They offered to fix the ceiling damage after a lot of complaining but I wanted money back to hire someone myself who is reliable to fix my ceiling. They wanted to send their own guys out but I don't need them doing more damage than they've already done. It took 6 months of calling and correcting problems with their work so finally I hope I'm done with them. This whole project was too stressful. read more

Leak was repaired the next day but I'm still waiting for a major rain before the ceiling is repaired again. I also had an attic fan installed which required an electrician to come out and hook up. Almost a month later I had to tell them it hadn't been hooked up yet. They called me a few days ago telling me I had an outstanding balance which I did not so I gave them my loan number and haven't received a call back so hopefully they straightened that out. We had 2 roof tiles blow off during recent wind storm, all I needed was someone to go on roof and replace, they showed up on day scheduled and the tech that fixed was good. I supplied the materials, the job was about 40 minutes. Price was $275 !! Way overpriced , we were stuck because of the times we are in , I told him to do it , I didn't have a choice to get any one else out. So basically $275 and used my materials for 40 minute job. At first everything seemed great. They were quick to respond and even offered me a coupon. I had the most simple fix that took the person 3 minutes to finish. They gave me a price that was 190 dollars for those 3 minutes. I called the office and asked for an explanation and asked why I could not use my discount coupon. Even though they control the rates they made me go back and debate my fee with the technician on site who told me he has no way of offering discounts. They disallowed my coupon and showed just horrible customer service. The technician was so nice and he did good work. I wish I could reccomend the technician and not the company because he would get 5 stars and the company doesn't even deserve 1 star. read more

Based on the advertisements, I hired this company to do a job. Please do your homework as I have a mess. I My den roof was leaking down the wall of the addition. I pad the deposit on 11-18-2019. He claimed he fixed it but no guarantees because them roof that is 10 years old was not done right. What do I know...I just moved here. By 11-26-2019...I had water running down the walls again after a rainstorm. He returned, said he fixed it. We are now having our second rain, 1-27-2019 and water pouring down the den walls again. I contacted PJ Fitzpatrick to repair two Andersen window mechanisms. The person I spoke with on the phone assured me that they repair Andersen windows "all the time" and that they carry common spare parts so that they can fix the window in one visit. I offered to provide window part numbers and/or send pictures, but he said it would not be necessary (which should have been a good indicator he didn't know what he was talking about). The person explained they would charge me for the initial visit, and that they would "very likely" be able to repair the windows during that time. If, for some reason, they were unable to repair the windows, they would provide an estimate before leaving my house. After blowing off the initial appointment, a tech from from PJ Fitzpatrick finally showed up. He did not have any spare parts and informed me they don't stock them, given the sheer number of potential parts. He therefore couldn't repair the window. He also did not provide an estimate either, saying he needed to confirm the price of the needed parts. He was on site for maybe 10-15 minutes. An estimate finally arrived via email two days later, which was ridiculous. I called a different tech who repaired the windows for literally 1/5 of the quoted price by PJ Fitzpatrick. I called back the PJ Fitzpatrick employee who originally took my request to let him know. Not surprisingly, he never returned my calls. Clearly, this is a well-designed scheme to collect a significant "diagnostics fee" with no intentions of doing the work. read more

An unfortunate waste of time. I saw the $189 gutter cleaning special in the Clipper magazine, and our home inspector (my fiance and I recently purchased our home this month) lauded this companies worksmanship and reputation. Unfortunately I wasn't able to experience their technical skills because in a four hour time window, they never showed up. I instead got a text message 15 minutes after the allotted time slot had expired. Everyone I spoke to on the phone was courteous and professional, but it is unfortunate that one has to take 4 hours out of their day, just on the off chance someone may show up. They additionally do not do weekend work. I know have another company coming out on a Saturday that works for me. P J Fitzpatrick needs to revamp their customer service, because they made an extremely poor first impression and I will likely not engage their services in the future. read more
